Bravoosii: Always get your facts right. If you have 6.0 and above and you want to cross, the dept of chemistry WILL release you. It's Zoology on the other hand that do not allow their students cross. So anyone who really wants to cross, Chemistry is your best bet among those courses.

I also heard that maths dep do allow bt that they seldomly do that.


The best bet is chemistry and dats why I opted in for chem and math as first and second choice respectively.

That UI is unlikely to other schools in terms of their mode of admission doesn't mean that they wont do as other versities do. In OAU, someone can change from agric course to mbbs with a nice cgpa. So UI wont be an exception bro.

Leqsy: Bros and sis dont compare ui with oau..mehn the competition was totally different then again it was 100 questions for 100 marks.,i also heard the time was sufficiently enough and it was only the physics that was somehow...so if the cutoff mark was high i guess thats understandable.
I am not saying oau is better than ui academically(though it is better in structure and geo. Planning) but people passed their postjamb more than ours so dont give up.also oau admits more undergraduates so cheer up fellas.35 thursdays to go.
Our major problem is that the school's change of course procedure is bullshit.they just toss people around.so try and meet the right people and dont even think about crossing in 200l

it wasn't enough for those that wrote maths n physics, so say what u know.

=> I think mechanical is kind of completely different from productions. same courses might be offered from 100-300level. but theres vivid difference in 400level. Because by then, you get to strictly face what u are studying...

But In a situation where by One does Mechanical Nd product. thats double honour Two in one degree. both its really over load.

In my school, lectures tell the students that 2.1 @ the course is equal to 1st class in any mech eng in any naija university. ATBU is only uni that does such a crazy combo except from Enugu state uni i think. But here is really mad!

=> Production Engineering stands on it own. Under prd.engine, u have Manufacturing and Industrial. Mechanical to me,falls under manufacturing engineering,cox it involves Design and fabrication. While industrial deals with management of people/engineer in d industry. Industrial also involves operation research,i.e looking 4 better means of carry out tasks and jobs without compromising the Standards. In other news,production Engineering is the mother of all engineering,cos it encompasses all engineering.I stand to be corrected

U guys shld 1st focus on getting d fall back courses, befor planning ur cross over! Don't forget d same course u wanna cross back to, direct entry candidates, IJMB candidates are also looking forward to it! Nw where's d room for dat?!

marc, a very big thumb up to u gan. It's easier said than done bt tenacious being that re optimistically oriented can make 7.0 cgpa making it much easier for them to cross over

To my ogas, is someone offering physics eligible for NLNG, Shell/Chevron, Agbami, NNPC et al scholarship scheme

there is dis question bothering me. Some courses like pharm, Bds, mech eng, EE, pet, mbbs and others were not listed. Does it mean that the UME quota allocated to those courses have been filled

COC form is out now, go online and fill it. Dont just wait.



Before filling the COC, ask questions pertaining if u can swerve to ur desired course in 200l. And try as much as to meet the various criteria for the course

Qualified candidates may
express their interest by logging on their details on www.admissions.ui.edu.ng/changeofcourse .
The application must contain the following
information:
1. Full names
2. UTME registration Number
3. Post UTME score
4. Initial course
5. Thetwo courses the candidate wishes to
change to in order of preference.
