Mikeval001: The person has a point, you know agent hardly process tuition free school for their clients because they won't get commission from public schools while agents that are registered with these private schools get commission from the school whenever they process and secure admission for their clients in such schools I don’t blame agents, it’s 2020 student should be able to make research and process their school admission themselves. Internet is not for social media only. |

SOLARPOWER1: Which advantage? Those agents are already using your head to get money from you.. Government /Public universities in Germany have access to more funds and are more recognised that's why they are more difficult to get into... Germany is a develop country not Nigeria.. Hahaha...how u take know say nahh agent... u funny |

kumkumtins1: Baba you once mentioned that you did your bachelors in mechanical engineering in deutschland. Did you have any oral exams? And if you did, how was it/they. I'm going for my masters in electrical engineering and information technology and virtually all my exams are oral and I can't seem to reconcile how calculation based courses can be graded in a 30mins oral exam. Can you give me an example of how such exams typically are, like their questions and stuff like that. Like an example using a subject like control systems engineering. Almost all my exams were written, I also had project where I am to work on a particular topic like Optimizing the process of injection molding machines, Laborwechselrichter für Netzeinspeisung, Bremsscheibe etc. Such topics I was given time to work on them and give a power points presentation in front of two professors during the presentation I was graded. In your case if you re to have oral exam it will be on the understand of the topic using control system as an example You might be given a complex system and they ask you if the system is stable or not stable, what re the criteria of stable system, is the system dynamic or not, you should write on board the deferential equation of the system and it’s transfer function, sketch the magnitude and phase diagram of the system, sketch the possible Nyquist plot of the system If the system is not stable how can you optimize it to make it stable etc But it’s not a big deal you will be given time to prepare but you won’t get any hard calculations questions that u have to solve by heart . |

Gbambor: .. I think from these one now we can categorically see they dont want us again... cos thats why they took away testAs option for Nigerians so people dont go running to write them and qualify, now they don put 01/01/2018, how many people go get that result now?? Omo only God can safe us It’s best not to rely on this German waka...try another eu country..then see if u can move to Germany from there From the pattern of Goethe int.and German Embassy, they really want to cut the rate of Nigeria student to the lowest and pick only the best of the best |

Jubrilawest: Have you tried taking the test, I bet you scoring above 100 in the test no be beans No, i know nothing about the test, just disappointed the wey the Embassy is making the process hard for Nigerian students. All the changes are just to discourage student from applying It’s time this thread start discussing not just schooling in Germany but also in other EU countries....no one should put their eggs in one basket Wish everyone luck |

Jubrilawest: This is easy, they want to reduce the number of Nigerian students coming in. You all should start preparing for testas or rather look for other European countries What makes you think they won’t change testas score when lot of student pass the cut off mark...also what about cat.B any hope for them Am sure there re embassy spies in this thread, u all need to be careful how u share info here |

Twostep: Hey guys, enrolled for a masters degree scheduled to commence first week of may, conditional admission has been made available and I have to pay 2k euro to confirm slot and get AL. (It’s a private uni)..
Issue now is I booked Cat B on the 23rd if Jan with start date as may 5th..if I pay the 2k and don’t get AD I will get a refund but will loose some part of the money ( say 60k in naira.
I need suggestions as to wether to secure the admission and wait if by chance I get a date before then, and I if don’t, request a refund and loose the said sum or I insist to get AD before paying the 2k.
Also is there anything the school can do to enhance getting an appointment date like maybe send a mail to the embassy, they are happy to.
Confused, suggestions would be appreciated guys! Thanks. Is it possible for u to apply for tuition free school.. if yes then start new application for winter semester and forget about ur current AL but if not then u can pay and hope u get AD I feel loosing 60k is too much, including the stress of applying for admission |

Energygod: I support your statement 100% and it's better we look at those other countries even apart from these one here you mentioned Before they also close their borders to us I made this suggestion here some weeks back and now I've gotten my admission to another country Currently in the visa stage I just visit here to see what's happening and from the look of things it's not getting better My application is going smoothly by God's grace
Please and please don't let this German waka block your eye to other places and be wasting your money bikonu Shalom ❣️ Nice and all the best with ur Visa application I said it earlier AD for summer might not come especially for Cat B and I posted a link with alternative where one can study easily in EU. But many think am negative even someone started curse. Reality is bitter and we think everything needs prayer. What people forget to think is, what’s the next plan if Germany don’t work. |

bamsz: You will solve Laplace transform and Fourier series with calculator and your lecturer will score you? .... Continue Still don’t understand ur point... In Regelungstechnik( Control System) u re allowed to use calculator to solve Laplace Transformation cuz u will fail the exam if u don’t. You have lot of questions but little time. So if u re allowed to use calculator then use it and if not, stick to the rules of the exam Uni exams re all about how fast u can solve a particular problem that’s why they call is here Leistung So don’t show u re too smart and end up shutting urself on the foot. |

IMustWin: @Princejck! Plz are you doing Math? Is the lecturing method by those lecturers okay? because I don't think someone should have an issue if they lecture fine. No, I studied Maschinenbau( Mechanical Eng)... Some lectures re ok and some re not depending on the professor, secondly language is an issue cuz of technical terminology which one don’t find in everyday language. Maths is not much of a problem but the application of maths and physics in courses like thermodynamic, mechanical vibrations, Konstruktionslehre etc. that’s where the difficulties re No course is easy here but it’s also not impossible My personal trick was trying to understand a particular topic in English textbooks, before reading it for the second time in German textbooks...it’s time consuming that’s why one need to start reading from the very first lecture of the semester. YouTube also helped me a lot and solving example questions constantly U can afford to work only minijob of 450 euros anything more than that might affect ur studies..., u might also have less social life like clubs etc. It all depend on ur personal mind set and ability to learn and understand things easily If u have passion on what u re doing u will make it....but doesn’t means it will be easy. |

Sakasitay: From my experience, if you want universities where they give Continuous assessments, and the exams are not a deciding factor, then you can consider the Hochschule (Universities of Applied Sciences). As the name suggests, the work is more practical and the Maths we’ve been lamenting on here is more applied to real world problems (but you still need to put in a great effort in it) Hhhhmmm not accurate. First of all Uni is more difficult than Hochschule ( not all Hochschule) There re advantage and disadvantages to Uni and Hochschule In Hochschule is very easy to fail out, apart from 3 trails on exams u also have Semester limit unlike Uni that u structure ur Programm urself and can study for 10 semester if u want In Hochschule u have better contact with prof unlike Uni that prof re too busy for student Hochschule is more practical oriented especially for engineering students unlike like Uni that is more of Research and theory In Hochschule ur grade re from exams and practicals ( 80% exams and 20%), Uni 95% exams and 5% projects Don’t underestimate German education, i will say to those new here or coming, one need to read and understand....cramming don’t work. |

Silva19: Guy, since the UK is set to leave the EU by 11pm today, what impact do think it'll have on the Euro?....should we expect a drop in the exchange rate?... At least that Wud be good news for those who want to fund block account . what's your take? Am not an expert on this, UK is leaving the EU tonight, but they re bound to EU rules till 2021, which means the changes won’t be that rapid....i.e. there won’t be significant drop on the euro, if even there is any.... What might affect the euros is corona, due to disruption on global trade |

Can't an average graduate of Maths or Econs cope? The maths is same but more intensive compared to what u might have learnt in Nigeria....but if u have strong foundation in basic mathematics then u shouldn’t have any issue at all. |

There are numerous opportunities all around the world. Be good at what you do. Ezyp: Re-read your first statement and see how confused you are. Am not confused, u said whatever one study here in Germany there’s always a job for that person...and I disagree with that Forget the wishful thinking or all nahh Gold mentality No one want to come and study after the stress then find it hard to get a job cuz the rate of job offers re too low. It’s more or less that there no job opportunities for that person cuz that’s why the person left Nigeria in the first place, they re job there but u send applications for more than a year and still get nothing. So why would anyone in their right mind want to pass through that again in Germany. That’s my point |
