You are one of the reasons why the german embassy and most embassies now frown at Nigerians visa applications. Simple instruction, we cannot follow. The conditions were clearly stated for the different categories and you intentionally decided to book the wrong category. Sit down and ask yourself this simple question "deep down, am I qualified for this category?" if your answer is yes, then fine; if no, ask yourself this simple question again "then why did I book it?" Can't you be civilised and adhere to simple instruction? Most people screaming don't have admission yet not to talk of means of finance and they went ahead booking, thereby creating more problems for the ones who already have admission and means of finance. It is people like you that makes them see as us as very desperate set of people. Anyone telling you to go with Faith is joking because germans don't joke with rules. God didn't tell you to taste your Faith by disobedience. Good luck

Good morning guys, first of all, I will like to commend all efforts made to resolve the issue. In a situation like this Criticism is allowed, so as to get the best solution. Well I think if we are to write an Appeal letter, it should be to the Ambassador of Germany to Nigeria. It should be an Appeal letter not a complaint letter centered at Reviewing the booking appointment.

. Guys take it easy don't shot all Nigerians student travelling to Germany in the Leg do you think the ambassador of German embassy in Nigeria is sleeping. We Nigerians like to assume and this will not take us to anywhere, reporting the German consulate in Nigeria to Berlin immigration office is a very bad idea, why don't you report to the ambassador representing Germany in Nigeria if you have any complain you can address them to the ambassador here, Germans don't gain anything in not issuing visas to Nigerians infact they want you in there country, NOTE: ( your own idea is upload their admission letters as well as sponsorship letters/funded blocked account documents/scholarship before appointment dates can be set nobody will buy that) don't teach German embassy their Job that is our Nigerian mentality that is why we are Nigerians we made the system so hard for everyone, you think they care if you miss your interview that's why there is 6month ban. I don't know why people going for summer semester in April are worried now

There is nothing like writing to them, it's clearly stated in the booking confirmation email

With a wrongly booked visa category you will not get access to the visa section.

If you discover that you have provided incorrect and / or incomplete information, please cancel your registration and register again.


So if you booked incorrect Cat, the right thing to do is to cancel and rebook. That is why the option is there

Getting accommodation on arrival on campus if you are not a DAAD/Erasmus/OtherScholarship student is not really guaranteed.
However,
1. Apply for one, on the school studentwerk website (you might just be lucky)
2. Join the student groups on facebook and post your request or response to posted accommodation offers
3. Try to see if you can get preferably a Nigerian to welcome you (to host you for your first few weeks - for free or paid).
