tosinhtml: Come off with this mindset, no country survives without immigrants. Who is going to do those jobs citizens don't want to do? Menial jobs, construction, Nursing & even programming jobs, Going to study in Germany shows that you are actually impacting their country with Skill & knowledge, Immigrants work their ass off & also pay 40% or more taxes to their country. We work like rugrats, 60 hours per week for some just to earn a living & pay their taxes.
My point is: They need us as much as we need them. 50/50. And what makes u think they are not getting enough immigrants, Germany have right to choice the type of immigrants they want in their country just like UK, Australia and Canada. We just happened to be Nigerians which most countries don’t want at least not in the rate at which we apply for visa. So it’s not 50/50 my guy. The problem is our Green White Green |

SOLARPOWER1: House how do I handle a situation me conflicting information from the alien office and Lagos consulate....
The alien office responded to my email that they have completed processing of my application that I should contact embassy... I sent a separate email to embassy and called them the next day asking about my application status, they responded two days later that they are still awaiting answer from the alien authority.
Is there a mix up somewhere or this is normal? I have already completed my enrolment and I submitted it during interview. And I rightly informed them that my school has already started lectures for winter . Send a copy of the email you got from the alien office to the embassy in Lagos, also try to send copies of your correspondence to each parties when next you email them. It’s easier to clarify such mix ups. All the best |

Shebi when go to those countries with this naija mentality they will calm you down . Have you thought of when about 1 Million Nigerians storm Ghana for example for resident permit what do you think will happen?
Getting resident permit of other country is not a joke matter. You must be legit and no shady documents unlike Nigeria here.
I just hope you guys wont fall victim of scammers.

There’s no point arguing who is right or wrong, it’s better for those who are not in DE to explore every options available to them, because traveling directly to German from Nigeria might not work for everyone.
If connecting through other EU countries is easier, it’s a better alternative than just waiting, hoping and protesting. |

Topsonluv: Hello house, I need advice on behalf of someone. I'm using myself as the person so as to make the wordings easier.
I'm into a business with a startup manufacturing company as a distributor in partnership with someone whom we share profit and commissions accrued in. The company started last year and has been growing since. I get at least 500k and above per month depending on the sales volume.
I have passion for IT, so I applied for a data science course in Germany and I've paid for the semester contributions. I have zero German language knowledge but plan on learning there to get a better opportunity.
Meanwhile, if I go for masters I will have to terminate my current opportunity. I'm using money realized from ds business/contract.
I need advice to know which one is better off for future purpose, considering Nigeria economy...
Ur bitter and kindly truth is needed especially from those in Germany or who has the experience. Thanks to everyone in advance If your business is growing like u said and u re making that much per month i will advice you to grow ur business in Nigeria, starting all over here is hard and takes time for u to be stable, speaking from experience. There are opportunities here but it’s also very competitive and after bills and taxes u might not be able to save 500K per months, that is after u graduate and get a good job. Try to grow and expand ur business is the best that’s my opinion. |

Good, dont bother about living expenses the minimum wage of Norway is higher than that of Germany and with student job u will be fine. Goodluck |

SOLARPOWER1: Stop giving out information that you don't have enough data to validate... My friend in category B got AD last summer and he is currently in DE as we speak There's no point to argue who got AD last year an who didnt. The Point is that the entire Studying in Germany process is no longer smooth and joyful as it used to be and no sign it will even get better ( Please i'm not speaking of Faith here). WS19/20, SS2020 are over nothing happened, WS2020/2021 no one got AD those who have enrolled since last year still have to pay enrollment fees which is nothing less than 300 Euros hoping for SS2021, new applicants are getting admission adding to the waiting list especially if they fall under Cat. A then Cat. B who has been waiting since last year is been pushed backward on the waiting list. The truth is that German Embassy wont give everybody here Visa. Most of you here are finding it difficult becuase no plan B, if no be Germany no where else mentality. Please Wake UP guys and stop wasting your money and time, find another road to ur success, some of you Germany is not even in ur destiny but doing it because ur family and friends are in Germany or think all is Green here. |

micklovasta: Semester contribution is a small financial risk. If you don't get student visa to go to Germany, you can always ask for a refund.
If you don't get a refund, it's better than regretting when people on here begin to get AD and AM.
People take far dangerous and costly risk crossing the Mediterranean. If u re a true student I don’t think u will reason this way. Do u considered the fact that u might not get AD this year especially if u fall under Cat. B. Maybe u can afford enrollment, but what about those who can’t afford it, don’t advise people to take risk just because u did. Admission letter is more than enough to appeal for a visa and it can always be deferred with most school. |

Coldie: Don't pay any money, even if u decide to apply faith make sure u read up the schools refund policy. Lol...Oga u dey vex oo. You re right no one should waste money if they re not sure of AD. I wish this time could be spent looking for other EU countries to study instead of applying faith and wasting time with study in Germany only. If 60% here start the research for considerable alternative within 4 weeks there will be solution. Germany no be do or die matter, I know some go say nahh becuz I dey Germany, that’s why I’m talking this way. Even if I don’t agree with Coldie method last year, he was right to say this problem has been there for more than a year and it not cuz of corona or international flight. Make unah rest on Germany waka and open fresh ideas to other EU countries even if the first year unah go pay school fees but it’s better to waste ur life hopping. Not all part of Germany you get tuition free education and I have seen people here who got admission into schools in Baden-Württemberg knowing fully they have to pay 1500 euros tuition per semester excluding semester fees and tickets. If you can spend such amount why wasting ur time waiting for AD when u can with that amount school in other EU countries This problem won’t go away and even if there’s AD this year it will mostly be for scholarships students. There most than 2000 IQ here make unah take hamm find other reasonable solutions. |

Bro no vex, we just need to be civilized for once..and things like visa one don’t take it by force, no matter how hard the situation is. Secondly the mentality of shortcuts should be stop and when everyone follows the proper channels and meet up with the requirements all will work out smoothly. I’ve been wanting to renew my passport since last year, but is either Nigeria Embassy don’t have booklets or no appointment but one issue to another. That doesn’t mean we start messing up around. Most of them called the German Embassy already even sent email but they re not satisfied with the response. No one AL is special As the other so let all be patient. Focus on ur own life and leave others alone.
Get a student job if you are very less busy out there.
You can distribute Newspapers once a week with ur bike and earn 400 Euros a month.
Get busy and leave Nigerians living in Nigeria to sort themselves.
I didn't subscribe data just to read ur chat. Firstly am not a student, secondly you can ignore my chat, thirdly you can do better than wanting to sell SL here. You re part of the problem. Fatalveli: But admission is on the line.
It's not like they just wake up and start complaining without having a compelling reason to be in Germany.
How will keeping quiet be beneficial to us when people are nearing admission deadlines despite spending a handful of money to secure such admission?
If the fact that intl flight are closed is really thier 'genuine' concern, or reason, why are they working fully in other African countries except Nigeria, and those countries too are yet to open intl flight?
The rule and protocol you are referencing only applies to Nigeria, and we want to know why.
This is a bit sketchy, and people have the right to voice out in this kind of situation. All German Embassy’s operate base on the diplomatic relationship they have with each countries...so you can’t expect the Embassy in Ghana to act like the Embassy in Nigeria. They don’t even have same visa requirements. So what makes you think protest will solve this issues and what if they re attending to all pending family reunion applicants to make space for students applicants. You guys don’t know half of what’s going on there but out of desperation of leaving Nigeria you see it all as negative. It will be best if the Embassy specify on their website that they can’t accept applications this year... The chances of getting a visa for those who re to resume October is very slim. Be patient and look forward to SoSe 2021 |
Travel › Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by princejck: 5:44pm On Aug 13, 2020 |
Portex: Whatever point you are trying to prove, you are not doing it well and not in the right way. That people didn’t protest in Germany doesn’t mean they are wiser than those that chose to protest. If you have a problem and keep quiet, it’s either you are a coward or something else. Earlier this year, Some people in China were chased out of their homes like animals but they voiced out and were heard. Nigerian govt asked questions and got answers and the issue was resolved within few days. Not protesting is actually one of the reasons Nigeria is in this mess. When things are not going well as it should, we should always ask questions not keeping quiet and claiming wise. “It does not concern you” but one day it will concern you or someone close to you. You re not making any point...Nigerian students are not having any problem..the Embassy kept a clear instruction even if it means they will start attending to students visa applicants from 2021 Only the Embassy know why they made such decisions and what intern issues they re having, which they can’t make public. You all just have to respect and follow protocol. Is that too hard. |
