haven't these players learned to pass the ball to the open man? why does everyone want to be a hero? |
why didn't that fool pass the ball. that was a 2 on 1, idiot. |
it is Tahiti, not Haiti |
we may need to penetrate from the flanks and through the air. |
give the Super Eagles some credit. These players have barely acclimatized. It is also not easy playing a team that essentially has all its players playing defense. |
this aboki called musa dey useless. over do? |
These Spanish players do know how to act and how to over-exaggerate the slightest contact in an attempt to win a free kick and prompt the referee to give the opposing player a yellow or red card. |

Ola one: Amazing.why all these bad belle against America, now? Una don forget say Google, Facebook, Apple, Windows, and so on, all come from America? If not for America, yahoo yahoo for no dey? |

texazzpete: If you truly need someone to explain this to you, you really need to demand a refund from your English teachers.Ode! If you don't understand what I meant, you need to demand a refund of your full tuition you paid for your entire schooling career, that it is if you ever went to school at all. My point is that does airborne mean that a plane has reached cruising altitude? What does Dana mean that the plane was not airborne? Why didn't they simply say the plane had not taken off or that the plane had not even left for the runway. Bottom line is their statement is couched in vague terms, which is usually an indication that they are trying to put a spin on the whole story. |
Fajzay: I wonder if you or Sauer had ever been on a flight before or know the dynamics of flight take-off / landing. Theres is no way a plane can take off slightly and come down just like dat ... Do you know a plane has to get to a certain speed on the run way b4 lifting? Do you know the total length of the runway on which its taking off ... which the plane must have covered over 50% of (as d case of our runway in context) b4 taking off ... Pls do not spew ur ignorance in here. Have a deep knowledge of the subject matter b4 commenting. If the pilot had operated in the manner u guys were thinking, Nigeria would have been mourning yet again!!! So plzzzzzzzzzzzYou are trying to convince yourself that you are saying something smart, but you are failing woefully. A plane can take off and turn around and land immediately. What is your point? Since you are portraying yourself as smart, tell me what the meaning of the following, as used by Dana and the Nairalander, and support your claims from the contents of both of their statements: What is the difference between a "snag" and a "technical fault?" What is the difference between a plane that took off and landed and a plane that has not been airborne? Was the snag or fault discovered before the plane left for the runway, as in was the snag or fault discovered during pre-takeoff inspection? What is the meaning of airborne? cruising altitude? |
pappilo: I can only imagine you got so many thanks because you bamboozled the posters that thanked you with your well composed post but the truth is you havent got a clue. The issue is what is the definition of airborne. If the plane took off and landed immediately, was it airborne? Do you have to reach cruising altitude before you are considered to be airborne? You can tell that Dana's statements were couched in vague terms and was pretty much saying the same thing the Nairalander said. We are also not saying that what happened to Dana Air is unique to Dana Air and does not happen to other airlines; the issue is whether Dana's statement differs from that of the Nairalander's. Dana said the plane was not airborne. The Nairalander pretty much said the plane rose in the air " a bit and came down again." Dana did not categorically deny that claim. All they said is that the plane was not airborne. Did the plane make it to the runaway and attempted to take off? Or was the fault discovered during pre-takeoff checks? Dana is trying to play us for a fool. |
If you guys read critically, Dana Air's statement supports the Nairalander's claim. The only difference between Dana and the Nairanlander's claim, however, is the use of semantics and euphemism. What the Nairalander referred to as a "technical fault," Dana referred to as a "snag." Further, the Nairalander said that the flight took off and had to return to its origin due to the technical fault. Similarly, Dana maintains that the flight was "canceled" as a matter of precaution because of the "snag," in line with "global best practices." It is noteworthy that Dana's admission that the plane was grounded and that another plane had to "ferry" the 44 passengers to Abuja safely is an implied admission that the plane had a snag or technical fault and returned to its origin. This supports the technical fault assertion made by the Nairalander. The so called "snag" or "technical fault" was apparently serious enough to render the plane incapable of flying, as--by virtue of Dana's admissions--the plane is now grounded and has to be recertified by the regulatory authorities. Overall, the Nairalander's claim is true by virtue of Dana's statement. Dana's statement was obviously meant to do damage control, and it is nothing more than saying the same story in a mild way, which is a prudent use of euphemism. It is analogous to saying someone kicked the bucket, rather than say the person died. |
The comments posted on Nairaland are usually indicative of how many Nigerians think, which explains why our country is in a retarded stage. The following are highlights of some comments and how they reflect our thinking: (1) comment: This squad lacks depth because Victor Moses and Emenike are not included. It reflection on how we think: it shows that many Nigerians are used to the status quo and would not give new talents a chance. Moses and Ewenike were given a chance to prove themselves, so let us give a chance to some new talents to prove themselves. Anthony Ujah is a talented striker who achieved legendary status in Norway in one season, after he netted about 32 goals in 40 matches or so. There are talents like him, too, who have been given a chance. (2) Comment: this squad does not stand a chance against the other teams. Reflection on how we think: we generally lack confidence when going against other countries and don't believe in teamwork, perseverance, focus, and strength of the youth. We also do't believe in our own. This is the same mentality that has previously prompted our officials to hire foreign coaches at the expense of qualified Nigerian coaches. It's is the same mentality that made us chose tired legs and outdated players like Kanu and Yobo who have repeatedly failed us time and time but are still called to the team because we don't believe in our youth. Look at how a youthful AFCON squad played collectively but not individually to AFCON glory. Comment: we don't have quality players. Reflection: what does it take to be a quality player? Having a white skin? It looks like the mentality that Oyinbo is always better than us is still pervasive. Comment: we need a miracle because the opposition is tough. Reflection: we have already lost the battle mentally before beginning the battle. Lack of confidence in our own home based players and talent. |
If makeup and Brazilian weave can make an ugly man look like a beautiful woman, what is the big deal if makeup and Brazilian weave makes Tiwa Sawage--an average looking woman--look like a beautiful woman? |
No wonder a lot of Nigerian women smell bad. Most of them are bleaching, and little do they know that there are terrible body odors attendant to bleaching your skin, particularly when you take into account Nigeria's heat, high humidity, and inadequate electricity to power your A/C. |
OoduaDefence: You are asking the wrong question, our education system has got nothing to do with this. This is a result of visionless and corrupt Government like Jonathan's Government. Our education system is partly responsible for this. An education system that does not promote critical thinking but promotes rote memorization and regurgitation. As a result, graduates are ill-prepared to build companies and create jobs and solve problems that affect us. Rather, foreign expatriates and returning diasporans are the ones who are coming in to create jobs and get high-skilled employment. |
The purpose of an international friendly is to give teams an opportunity to experiment with new players so that you can know the players to use in real tournaments. This is what Keshi did, and it is the hallmark of a good coach. Despite using predominantly second string players, Keshi still managed to pull a draw with Mexico, who were playing as though the match is world cup final. |
solomon111: Actually the US border is pretty porus.Thank you ooo. Some people just like to say what they don't know. That border is very, very porous. Sometimes you can even cross that border with a fake ID. |
Afam4eva: Youu must think US border is like Seme where living and non living things cross like pure water. Most mexicans crossing that border are not doing so to go and watch mouth but to hustle. How do you know? I just proposed a logical premise that could support the conclusion as to why there are more Mexicans than Nigerians in the stand. Many Mexicans do cross the border daily to the US and vice versa, as long as you have the right paperwork to cross the border. Many Americans also do go to Tijuana, Mexico to go phuck ashys and attend the strip clubs. |
To all those saying why are there more Mexicans than Nigerians in the stand, it is worth noting that Texas is right next to Mexico. This close proximity to Texas makes it easy for Mexicans to cross the border and watch the game, and many Mexicans reside in Texas. |

Why do people in Nigeria turn everything, even the simplest things, to rocket science? In this case it is the concept of bilingualism. Why don't you raise your child to be bilingual, in which case your child will speak both languages fluently. Send your child to a school where only English is spoken, and speak your native language to your child at home. You don't have to forgo one for the other. This is rocket science to many Nigerians, both home and abroad. |
Where is the beautiful wife? |
Naija men don suffer. Why do their wives more often than not have to be either overweight or shapeless? |
pitypec: why will it not make sense when u see big bootythat one cannot be called booty. it is called nyansh. |
Chinua Achebe, through his books, undoubtedly promoted Nigerian culture not only to Nigerians but also to the world, which made him a de facto ambassador for Nigeria. Chinua Achebe loved Nigeria. In the latter stage of his life, however, Chinua Achebe and members of his family had a tense relationship with Nigeria. Achebe as a matter of fact has been a United States resident for many years and was a professor at a United States university. As of today, Achebe's family has not announced the burial plans, making some people to speculate that Achebe's family are considering burying him in the United States. This has infuriated several members of the Igbo community. For example, the Anambra State Government has unequivocally stated that it wants Achebe buried in his community, reasoning that it is impracticable for the literary incon to be buried on foreign soil. Anambra State Governor supposedly intends to meet Achebe's family to appeal to them that he be buried in his home state. Ultimately, in my opinion, the decision of where to bury Chinua Achebe should rest with his family, and the Governor should stay out this family matter. Whether he is buried in Anambra or in the United States, the literary icon should be allowed to rest in peace. I think Achebe should be buried in his home state, although there is a strong argument that he should be buried in the United States. What do you people think? |
No wonder |
Oke Sapati Community Bank is the best. |
pDude: Eko Atlantic indeed. mtschewww!!Good craftsmanship is a foreign concept in Nigeria. |
Omo_Tier1: Serial liar! FYI, Flight attendants do not have the free will to parole when in foreign lands as their visas are restricted to certain regulations. A flight attendant staying over for 48hrs can best wish for a nice beer at one of the popular bars. Tourist my foot.. next time go to www.youtube.com/tutorials/learn2lieYou sound stupid. Flight attendants are not restricted to their hotels when they are laying over. What regulations are their visas restricted to? The employers of flight attendants can restrict the movement of their flight attendants during their layover. Before you come here and start running your mouth, you need to travel first. |
