Nigeria is not tourist friendly and lacks activities for tourists to do. In addition, the security and infrastructural challenges, not to mention to aesthetic challenges, we currently have make Nigeria look like an eyesore to foreigners and make them scared to have fun in Nigeria. That said, you cannot blame a tourist who is used to living and visiting beautiful places, and who is used to having the freedom to roam the streets, to enjoy being in Nigeria where everywhere looks dirty and where there is practically nothing for her to do. During one of my flights from Lagos to Yankee via Amsterdam, I asked the KLM flight attendant how long she had to layover in Lagos and what did she do. She said that she was in Lagos for 48 hours and that she stayed in her hotel for the entire 48hours. She further said that she stayed in Sheraton Ikeja and KLM prohibits all their flight attendants from leaving their hotels when they are in Nigeria. She also said that she visits all other African countries, e.g., South Africa and Kenya, and that KLM usually has tourist activities planned for them during their stay in those African countries. They are only forbidden from leaving their hotels when they are in Nigeria, she reckoned. This was shameful, to put it mildly. |
razznaija: Why is it that any road that is constructed in Nigeria is always an eyesore? why can't we make better roads that look AT LEAST like this:I was thinking the same thing. It is due to incompetence. |
Abrantie: Which game did you watch? which game stats are you looking at? We outplayed BF and missed a boat load of opportunities. The second half was all pretty much Ghana. You must have been drunk during the game, because every sports website all over the world has reported that BF suffered a grave injustice at the hands of that useless referee. I am sure you are aware of the following: (1) the referee awarded Ghana a penalty it did not deserve; (2) the referee denied BF a clear goal, when the BF player outhustled the Ghanaian defender and chipped the ball over the Ghanaian goalie right before the goalie got to the ball; and (3) the red card given to the BF player was outright wrong, as the BF player was clearly brought down in the Box 18 and should have rather been awarded a penalty. Besides, BF tormented the Ghanaian goalie in just before the end of regulation, as they had numerous shots on goal, one of which was saved by the Ghanaian defender. |

JideTheBlogger: Nice ball Musa, Emenike missed itthat was not a nice ball. Musa intended to shoot, not to pass, and the ball's speed was too much for Emenike to kick it in. Had it been a true pass by Musa, it would have been an easy ball for Emenike. |
This is another ploy to siphon public funds. I bet you that there will be an allocation for 30 planes and, in a best case scenario, the govt will buy just 10 planes. That would not even be the end of it. The 10 planes would most likely be tokunbo planes. |
kudos to American capitalism. All the companies mentioned are American companies. |
The number of women who are enhancing their derriere has reached epidemic proportions, thanks to plastic surgery and booty pads. Because of the prevalence of butt implants and booty pads, there is a pressing need for information on how to detect fake rear ends. Without this information, the unwary man can be misled into picking up a girl who does not possess the real assets. To that end, I deduced the formula for detecting a fake asset. If the maximum distance (MD) between the arch of the booty and the rear of the booty is more than three times of the length of the arch of the booty (L), then it is more than likely a fake booty. If MD > 3L, then the booty is fake. L= θ x ∏/180, where θ is in degrees; or L = r θ, where θ is in radians.

If she is so stunning she would have shown a full length picture. Showing glamour shots of your pancaked face does not mean you are stunning. |
The inherent deceptive nature in women is the very reason most guys would not accept to wait on a girl who says she does not want to have premarital sex. Most of the time--and I mean about 95% of the time, based on experiential evidence--a girl who tells a guy she does not engage in premarital sex is playing that guy while giving up the goodies to another man. She either has no interest in sleeping with that guy but wants his money or some other favor from him, and hence she gives an excuse that she wants to wait till marriage before having sex. In most cases, while she is lying to the guy about not engaging in premarital sex, she has another guy on the side who is banging the punny repeatedly. Meanwhile the mugu guy is waiting till marriage to have sex with this girl. Experienced guys understand this and don't fall for the lies perpetrated by most of these women who claim they don't want to have premarital sex. In 2012, most girls like to have sex and are no longer virgins by age 18, maybe 21 in Nigeria. Saying that they don't want to engage in premarital sex is boilerplate precede to taking money from a guy whom they are interested in having sex with anyway. Guys wake up and don't fall for cheap lies. Less than 5% of women are truly virgins or born again virgins who truly do not want to have sex before marriage. The rest are liars who are running game and trying to take your money without giving up something in return. |
I have debated several Ghanaians and other Africans over the question. In my opinion, jollof rice originated from Nigeria, and that's it. |
this topic will definitely affect the price of garium sulphate. Let me explain the link. If you see how big these women are, and if they all eat too much eba, both white and yellow eba, then it is safe to say that people will avoid garium sulphate, causing a reduction in demand. A reduction in demand, in line with the law of economics, assume supply is constant, will reduce the price of garium sulphate. |

To the critics of this video, since the original video--the USA version--was shot in the ghetto, what is wrong in shooting the Nigerian version in the Nigerian ghetto? It just so happens that the reality of the Nigerian ghetto--as depicted in the video--is unbearable to many of the critics. As such, they are ashamed that an American gangsta rapper, while staying true to the message of the song--that is, no one can hold black people back from oppression--exposed the realities of how most Nigerians live. The critics want those realities to be swept under the carpet. I applaud Rick Ross for doing what many Nigerian artists would not do--which is to shoot a video in the midst of poverty stricken Lagosians and homeless people. Rather, they only want to shoot their video in Yankee and Southy, thereby portraying an inaccurate description of their lives and the environment in which they live. |
tai2: 80% of people in Lagos live like that....the rest are either in luxury or the sufferhead middle class. Yet, we want him to show us a different story because Nigerians don't like hearing the truth. All Lagosians live in Ikoyi and were born with an accent. Crazy people. Most of those Nigerian videos are shot indoors or in a studio. The ones shot outdoors are usually shot on a beach, with the camera focusing closely on the person and intentionally focused so as not to capture too much of a wider view. Why? This is because Nigeria streets are dirty and filthy. |
akthedream: Its not how he thinks, that is the teaching of the Holy Quran and the saying of the prophet(pbuh). Those people killing in the name of Islam are not different from Pastors that support Homosexualism,Perming of hair,Masturbation,Defrauding people of their money,Divorce,Burning and slapping of church members to mention a few.Does that mean Christainity permits it?There is no religion without criminals. You can only judge a religion by their holy book which serves as their rules and regulations, not the followers who sometimes twist it to suit their evil doings.Unlike Muslims who kill in the name of religion or in defense of Prophet Mohammed, the pastors who commit homosexualism, masturbation, and the other acts you mentioned above are doing it to satisfy their individual urges, not because they are defending Christianity or Jesus Christ. In fact, I am sure several Imams commit the same acts. The pastors do not masturbate because they are fighting for God. In addition, those pastors appear to be the exception, not the norm. Muslims who react and kill in the name of religion appear to be the norm, not the exception. How do you explain how just about how the entire Muslim world would protest violently and kill innocent people because they were defending the prophet? Compare apples to apples: if a film were made against Jesus Christ that Christians found offensive, do you think that Christians and the Christian world would take to the streets killing people and protesting violently? Hell nah! Christians would not do so because one of the tenets of Christianity is that vengeance should be left to God; in fact, the Bible goes as far as saying that if someone slaps your left cheek, rather than retaliating by slapping that person back, you should turn your right cheek to that person and have that person slap you again. Don't compare apples to cars, folk. |
anyone have a link to the movie that prompted this violence by messengers of the "religion of peace?" |
MRbrownJAY: sadly, this ambassador is just another casualty of war like so many out there (let us all not be deceived)....... did they really think that Lybians were going to sit and be abused by the US gov without a fight?!How did the US abuse Libya or Libyans? The last time I checked the US stepped in to save them from being slaughtered by General Qaddafi. |
mosh_musth: The best way to leave together both Christian and Muslim is to learn how to respect each other religion.. Disrespecting prophet Muhammed or publishing that may aggravate tension among us should be prohibited.. Imagine that nigeria journalist in 2002 uttering rubbish, that Denmark cartoon about prophet Muhammed, that Pakistan Boy that fled to uk for protection that wrote the satanic quran, the burning of quran by American soldiers and now the recently air uk TV comic about Islam was greeted with wide spread of critism from Islamic clerics n followers this scorn and disrespectful act towards Islam should be stopped and must be stopped... Learn to respect Islam and accomodate Islamic teaching in ur Christianity ways that way we will all live happily...So your point is that anytime someone publishes something or acts in a way that Muslims find offensive, Muslims should respond by killing innocent people, most of whom have nothing to do with the situation? Why can't Muslims show their disapproval of the message in peaceful way, rather than engage in acts of violence? What happened to freedom, including freedom of speech? What happened to the religion of peace? |
I heard smoking igbo helps to boost the appetite of HIV + patients. Eat very well. Join a support group, preferably one that focuses on HIV+ individuals. |
I support the age and weight restrictions. There is nothing more unpleasant during your flight than being served by a sixty something year old grandmother flight attendant. Similarly, there is nothing more unpleasant than being served by an obese orobo. I think you should be fired upon reaching a certain age or if you exceed a certain BMI. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Attractiveness is an integral part of being a flight attendant, and other than aesthetic reasons, an older or obese person may not be situated to aid passengers in the event of an emergency. |
The bottom line is that there positive aspects of both cultures--whether American or Nigerian--that we can teach our kids. A responsible parent would teach those positive aspects to his kids. Most importantly, though, our native tongue and all the other positive aspects of Nigerian culture and the culture of their country should be taught to our kids, so that they can easily interact with their heritage and the environment in which they live. Like Hispanic kids born in America, most of whom are bilingual, our Kids can be taught to be bilingual as long as their parents speak their native tongue to them at home. Inferiority complex and what I call village mentality, of course, always make many Nigerian parents to take affirmative steps to refrain from teaching their kids their native language. |
What!!!!!! Osanobua! Chineke. The poster cannot not be a Nigerian girl. No way. Lai lai. |
