We are further saddened that the Nigerian President could ascribe to the living memory of our revered hero and legend, the very symbol of the Niger_Delta Liberation Struggle, The Late Major Isaac Jaspero Adaka Boro, as a militant as well as tracing militancy to him. This statement is so despicable that one wonders what has happened to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who without doubt, is a beneficiary of the ideals and struggle that Major Isaac Jaspeo Lol!!! You guys are not yet alarmed or scandalised. This has being the reason why i would never support jonathan, as long he found himself in that party called PDP i dont care where he comes from. You guys have not seen anything yet, becoz when Jonathan will finish betraying all that ND stood, fought, and died for, jst to win 2011 election, and spending another 4years licking Northern a$$, jst to remain in power for his 8years tenure. Every ND will then understand what it really means to be alarmed and scandalised. I wonder what you guys really expected him to do or say, when his priority is to remain a president after 2011. To hell with your legacy and all you think you stood for. Maybe you people think OBJ was stupi.d when he searched among all the credible and powerful politicians in ND, but could only handpick GEJ. |

df2006: Man, once again you are giving us another Nigerian political definition of Diplomacy. Becoz in Nigerian our politician has made folks like you believe that diplomacy is all about your ability to convience people with lies. You dont have to lie to protect the information you dont wanna give out. You can either answer the question, avoid it or openly tell the media sorry the infomation is not meant for the public consumption yet. You can not say that telling someone am not aware of an incidence the whole world knows am part of is diplomacy. That is an open lies, it make me looks nothing but stupid, unseriouse and a liar. |

Man, thanks for the video, i enjoyed every bit of it. Like i always said they world is watching us on how we handle this issue and what our answers are to many questions that has remained unanswered, by both government and our SSS. Also Like the speaker of the documentary said, it will be more miserable to those who lost their lives and their families to know at the end that this will be used to jst settle some political scores. Anyways i really enjoy the speech from the lady who spoke at 6-7min of the first video. Only NDtans who has something to benefit presently from the government will always tell you that the Amnesty programme was fully accepted by MEND as such there nothing like MEND existing in ND again. You don't dismiss problems by merely assuming they do not exist, even when it is obvious that you have not applied the right solution to the problem. |

df2006:Nigeria I hail thee!!! Am sitting down here laughing at people trying to give another meaning to a simple English phrase that the meaning is obvious, all jst to suit their line of argument. How can someone say the phrase " i am not aware" could on earth possibly mean, i wont tell you. You can only say you are not aware of something when you are ignorant of that. How can SSS Assistant Director, Public Relations Affairs, Mrs. Marilyn Ogar say he is not aware that the arrest was in connection of october 1st bombing. Is that not a word of denial? We can still dig out their press release before and after the Dokpesi arrest. LouisThoru: Madam, am forced to ask if you had access to the information that Dokpessi was ever arrested in the first place, or released, if not through the same media that you are calling junks. I jst discovered that NL rate daily papers based on how the immediate news released suits their line of argument. We can authoritatively quote them when it suits our line of argument and term them junks when it doesn't. |
Politics / Re: Jonathan Rules Out Sovereign National Conference by princekevo(m): 10:14am On Oct 20, 2010 |
“We have gone beyond asking how ethnic groups can live together. We will not allow history to hold us down. It was in 1914 that the Southern and Northern Protectorates were amalgamated. In four years now, we shall be celebrating 100 years of our existence as a nation. So we have gone beyond the agitation for Sovereign National Conference.” Jonathan, who spoke at the Dialogue with the President at the 16th Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja on Tuesday, said the nation had gone beyond the call for the SNC and should be concerned about how to build a prosperous country. Sweeping our problem once again under the carpet and pretending all is well, we are united. ND are fighting to control their own resources, Fulani and hausas are killing themselves everytime to determine who is the right owner of the land, Christians and their muslim brothers in the North are living constantly as cat and dog. Yet we still believe we are normally relating and associating together. |

Abeg leave story. If you indeed really like her you can propose to to her, after all she is above 18. That is not new to a well trained girl who shows a sign of respect to her elders by calling them Uncle and not by their name. Once you start dating her, you both will become equal and the uncle will suddenly disappear from her mouth. I mean the day she discover that even at the age difference she can withstand your big stick, the uncle will disappear, she will then start calling you by your name. |

seunmsg:The truth is not yet out, and people are already beginning to deny their allegations against individuals. Even those who manufactured a new name for IBB. Independent Bomb blast. Government did not directly point an accusing Finger to anybody but they quickly release and unconfirmed, half backed evidence (test message) which involved some individual names. Question: why have they not released any other evidence so far or further confirm to the member public the authenticity of the evidence. I know many will argue that SSS are not suppose to release any of their evidences to the general public. So, am forced to ask why did they quickly release the text messaged evidence that pointed accusing fingers to some individuals to the public. We are not kids. |
Politics / Re: Should The President Resign? by princekevo(m): 6:05am On Oct 18, 2010 |
The polity has been seriously heated up as a result of allegations from Jonathan's camp that IBB and northerners are behind the Abuja bombings. If it is proven that the northerners were not involved in the bombings,is it morally right for GEJ to remain in office, not to talk of going for re-election? Here we are crucifying someone who made a good Observation of the whole bomb saga and the way the govenement has been pointing accusing fingers left and right. The guy just asked a simple and unbiased question. Am surprised that some folks even see it as an irrelevant question. Simple question as, what if it became obvious after investigation that the president lied to the whole Nation, would he still remain in the office or resign? This is a question of morality and not political, sentiment has blinded our eyes that we can no longer separate morality from politic. If that happens in a country where they reason like humans, he should not wait to be impeached, but jst humbly tender his resignation. Am not sure you guys believe that the truth will never unfold one day. |

Another question is, why can this Ohaneze ndigbo will always reach a consensus in endorsing a candidate from any other Geo-political zone, but can never reach a consensus in chose one candidate from SE to contest for this number 1 seat. Tml they will be the one to start whining abt marginalisation as someone held their hands back from going for seat. |

‘Ohanaeze Ndigbo firmly believes in the reality and absolute equality of the six zones and holds the view that the topmost executive office in the land – Prime Minister or President, which has eluded the two geo-political zones of South-South and South-East since the birth of our nation half a century ago, should now go to them in turn in unbroken succession as a matter of national priority, before any other zone can justly claim the right to a second or even third turn. In line with this position, taken after wide consultation over several months, among Igbo people at home and abroad, Ohanaeze Ndigbo confidently urges the Igbo Nation to support en masse a credible new generation presidential candidate that has emerged from the South-South geo-political zone, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan,’ Uwechue said. Beaf: Oga beaf, you used to be one of the people I enjoyed reading their post here on NL. It made me think that Nigeria still got hope in terms of her future. I used to see it unbiased and undiluted reasoning. Am sorry to say that am really disappointed in you, i can even believe you wrote some post. Since GEJ took over power your posts suddenly lost those ingredients that made it reasonable. I bet if GEJ have people like you around him as advisers he will be impeached just a year or 2 in the office. A good and successful leader will always want to put around him people that can tell him the truth when goes wrong. But I just learnt that your favorites are never wrong. Based on your post above and claims, I will like to ask you one simple question. As an individual if your account or password is being hacked by and unknown person and this person is using your account for the wrong motives. Will you not write to all your contact to ignore all the messages that comes from this hacked account? You guys claimed there was nothing like MEND after the Amnesty, We can agree that. But since Amnesty there has been several attacks that MEND claim responsibility through these same self acclaimed JOMO GBOMO. If indeed someone hacked the account as you claimed why has those criminals that paraded themselves at Abuja as EX leaders and owners of MEND not come out publicly to tell the media, government and Nigeria people that their account has been hacked by an unknown person. Why did they not advice the media and government to ignore any message from this account knowing how sensitive the organization the created(MEND) is to Nigerian peace until after a year that this account has created much national damages to Nigeria Beaf , how can you explain to any reasonable person that an account of a sensitive organization like MEND is being hacked or spoofed, whatever you call it, for a year now, and some unknown criminals to them have been using this account for a year as you claimed for negative purposes without their knowledge. These same men that paraded themselves at Abuja as the owners of MEND did not tell the Nigerian people, Media or the government of the hacking, no advice of a such to ignore any message released or sent by this account through a faceless name called JOMO GBOMO, not until this account was used for such a national damage. They can now come out to argue the existence of this account they created when they were in MEND. Please can you explain this to me like I am a 4 year old kid maybe I would understand your logic here. My guy, in a civilized country where the people reason like humans, these men that paraded themselves as the Ex MEND leaders should be the prime suspects. They should have being behind bars to explain what happened, the moment MEND claimed responsibility of the Attack. In fact, they should have been under custody until the real perpetrators of the bombing are being ascertained. Instead GEJ invited them for a coffee and paraded them at the Abuja and NTA as National heroes. Probably was flown back to their homes on private jet with some Ghana must go bags for their patriotism. And please don’t tell us the Government might have blocked the account with Yahoo Company. Even if they can be possible and they did, they should be the one to come out and make such claim and tell us when. There are many Nigerian who are ready to find the truth, maybe we will find out from Yahoo Company the truth. Am not against any body supporting anyone, but people should stop making claims as if we are all babies, limiting our intelligence to that of a year old baby in the name of supporting your favourite. |

LOL!!! A man withouth promises owes no one no responsibility. President is indirectly telling us that he is not promising us anything. So Incase after 2011,2015 we see no progress from his government we should not complain or held him responsible for anything. After all he never promised us anything in the first place. All his supporters will come here after wasted 4 years and tell us 1 or 2 things he did, even when he promised us nothing. GEJ should stop deceiving us and himself, he should tell us what his policy is to affect the life of the citizens if we have to trust our future in his hands for another 4years. For even a blind man to follow or trust you need to promise him safety |

Jokes Etc / Baked Beans by princekevo(m): 10:48am On Oct 11, 2010 |
One day a woman met a sweet gentleman and fell in love. When it became apparent that they would marry, she made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans. Some months later, on her birthday, her car broke down on the way home from work. Since she lived in the countryside she called her husband and told her that she would be late because she had to walk home. On her way, she passed by a small diner and the odour of baked beans was more than she could stand. With miles to walk, she figured that she would walk off any ill effects by the time she reached home, so she stopped at the diner and before she knew it, she had consumed three large orders of baked beans. All the way home, she made sure that she released all the gas. Upon her arrival, her husband seemed excited to her and exclaimed delightedly: "Darling I have a surprise for dinner tonight." He then blindfolded her and led her to her chair at the dinner table. she took a seat and just as he was about to remove her blindfold, the telephone rang. He made her promise not to touch the blindfold until he returned and went to answer the call, The baked beans she had consumed were still affecting her and the pressure was becoming most unbearable, so while her husband was out of the room she seized the opportunity, shifted her weight to one leg and let one go. It was not only loud, but it smelled like a fertilizer truck running over a skunk in front of a pulpwood mill. she took my napkin from my lap and fanned the air around her vigorously. Then, shifting to the other cheek, she ripped off three more. The stink was worse than cooked cabbage. Keeping her ears carefully tuned to the conversation in the other room, she went on like this for another few minutes. The pleasure was indescribable. When eventually the telephone farewells signalled the end of her freedom, she quickly fanned the air a few more times with her napkin, placed it on her lap and folded her hands back on it feeling very relieved and pleased with herself. Her face must have been the picture of innocence when her husband returned, apologizing for taking so long. He asked her if I had peeked through the blindfold, and she assured him she had not. At this point, he removed the blindfold, and twelve dinner guests seated around the table chorused: "Happy Birthday!" She fainted!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

The bold is exactly what we have been trying to make his blind supporters understand. But they think with their blind support they were doing Jonathan any good. We all know Jonathan is still a student in the school of politic, blindly supporting him even when we know he has falling inside a gutter will never help him in anywhere, will rather make him look more foolish. Obama is getting stronger and better in politics becoz of the critics from the American people. Some might be consider right and he secretly take correction and some be wrong. But one thing i hate abt this Jonathan's supporter is that they are so blind that even when Jonathan mess they will consider it a presidential mess. If you speak against it you are being termed as Pro-IBB. Limiting Nigerians intelligent to IBB-Jonathan battle arena. |

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday said he never exonerated the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) for the October 1 bombings in Abuja, pointing out that what he meant was that fifth columnists should not hide under the cover of MEND to wreak havoc. LOL!!! With such double standard from Mr. president, am sure even his supporter will not near this thread, becoz they don't even know how to defend him again. Since 3 day now they have been trying to twist the truth for us to believe that they was nothing like MEND anymore. Here comes the president again deny exonerating MEND for the Bombing. That means MEND still remains the prime suspect here. Am jst sitting down here laughing my a$$ off, somebody must have called the guy to order to better clear himself be is too late. The blind supporter fail to understand that Jonathan is still Novice as long as politics is concern. There is a learning process in everything we know, but these blind support always want to prove how right he is in everything he does and say. He is luck to be a president in country where many are jst siddon dey look(Dundee's). If he was the president of US and committed such blunder, by now the media would have roasted him dry before he realises himself. |

You want more media? Why have we quickly forgotton the history? MEND’s spokesman, Mr. Jomo Gbomo, claimed in a response to an enquiry by one of our correspondents that the group directed Tompolo, Ateke Tom and other commanders to surrender because their identities had been compromised. The criminals that went to Aso to decieve our president in having a coffee with him and help him spread lies. Gbomo added that the successors of Ekpemupolo, Farah Dagogo, and other commanders, would soon emerge to continue with the struggle. He said, “We will change our strategy to hasten the government to the negotiating table. The whole cycle will repeat itself. We (MEND) are encouraging all commanders whose identities have been compromised to accept the amnesty programme and step aside for unknown commanders to take over. “We asked Tompolo and Farah Dagogo to surrender and step aside. We will not confront the military but we will resume guerrilla style attacks. The federal might would be better utilised in providing the basic amenities that are lacking in the country. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20091005236620 |

Goddex: Man you did not answer my question. Is it today you discovered that there was nobody like Mr. Gbomo Jomo. This article has been into existence as far back as october last 2009. Why did you not direct your question to media then? Is not too late, since i am that stupid maybe you can explain to all the world media that has always addressed this speaker of MEND as Mr. Gbomo Jomo. Every information we have gotten from MEND both past and present was issued by a person, office or source the whole world media knows as Gomo Jomo the spokesperson of MEND. All the statement issued by this person, or office as you guys might claim, has been taken seriouse as the true voice of Mend without any doubt or arguement. Including the message he release before the attack on March in Delta state, after the Amnesty. So why suddenly we are now doubting these same voice or spokesperson? Pls, Explain this to me like am a 4 year old kid maybe i will understand better. |
