egift:

I believe Okah more than the Government, Why:

- Okah's claims would have given GEJ a big lift (so if opponents wrote the script, did they also gave Mr. President the parts he played
- GEJ rush to absorb MEND be less than 18hrs after the incident without reading a single security report.
- He told us he knew who did it (Guess what he don't - only if Okah had acted kiss)
- He claim to know MEND so well, I wonder if he is a member or Sponsor

This statement is more logical more than any claim from the presidency so far.
I think all these lies and the president exonerating mend from the attack, later inviting other ex-mend leader to deny the attack after Ukah failed him is jst becoz he can not comprehend the reality of him  being sabotaged by his own people. Which might later exposed their lies that all ND ans are fully behind his candidacy, in fact they told us 149.9million Nigerian want GEJA, the Messiah.

Not just with MEND, with everybody who is fighting and to whichever way they are fighting. You don't just give people an amnesty and ask them to forget about the reason why they are fighting. Every one of us is fighting for something and if what we are fighting for is not addressed, it ushers problem in the area. You understand. It is not about Jonathan being president or about an amnesty being given. I mean, why will you steal my land and you give me an amnesty and then you expect me not to continue fighting you? Why would that happen?

My question to all those who went to the presidency and yabbed rubbish after a cup of coffee. Exactly one year they accepted amnesty. Is there is any progress from government towards their initial request and agitation that motivated them into militancy? Are they telling us today that they were jst fighting to achieve an amnesty from the government and can have coffee with president.

It is really painful to any true ND that Yaradua a northern man was more committed to solve the problem of the region more than the so called Ijaw son who claims to the be more close the problem of the rigion than any other person. After the Amnesty in October, November Yaradua became sick which led to his death, that became the end of the Amnesty programme in a government where the VP, and later the president is from the same region. Then people are here trying to convince me that Jonathan is fully accepted by the whole ND. Not everyone is a fool in that region.
Let him wait, the next target will be his house again in Bayelsa state.

Why are we deceiving ourselves? The world is watching us, with our lies.

Field commander of MEND accepts amnesty offer
October 3, 2009 11:03PM

Jomo Gbomo, the spokesperson for the for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), released an official statement by Farah Dagogo, the movement's field commander, stating that Mr. Dagogo has accepted the amnesty offer by the government on October 3, 2009.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta is one of the largest militant groups the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The movement alleges exploitation and oppression of the people of the Niger Delta and devastation of the environment by the government and foreign multinational corporations involved in the extraction of oil in the Niger Delta.

Mr. Gbomo's email said: "Please find below the statement made by Farah Dagogo who has been ushered out by MEND. All commanders have been replaced by unknown commanders and the next phase of our campaign will commence soon."

After Amnesty  october 2009 another twin bomb blast in Delta state on March, likewise what happened in Abuja. When this attack happened in Delta state did we tried to exonerate Mend from the attack or question their claim of responsibility for the attack, pushing it to political opponents?
Were was these selfish beings that went to Abuja for a coffee and after that started yabbing rubbish? Did they come out openly then to deny the attack jst like they have done now? If they did can someone show me their statement issued? If they did not, why?

15 Mar 2010 18:20
Twin car bombs have exploded near the governor's office in Nigeria's oil-rich Niger delta region, in the middle of amnesty talks with fighters.

A police source said one person was killed in the blasts, which took place on Monday in the city of Warri in Delta state.

The explosions occurred after the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend) emailed a statement saying it had planted three bombs.

Hundreds of police officers and soldiers in armoured vehicles cordoned off the building hit by the blasts as several cars burned on the expressway after the explosions.

Several state governors and other government officials had gathered at the Delta state governor's offices to discuss the implementation of an amnesty programme for fighters launching attacks against oil workers and oil installations in the delta.

"Two bombs exploded on the Government House expressway, one about 400 metres from Government House where the meeting was taking place, and another about 100 metres from the building," Tunde Forsythe, a government official who was just outside at the time of the explosions, told the Reuters news agency.

I think all these rubbish statements and self denail coming from the presidency and his cohorts, is jst that he can't simply comprehend the fact that he is being sabotaged by his own people. Which might be send a wrong message to the outsiders that even his own people does not want him as the president. The earlier the accept this reality the better for them. GEJ and his supporters should stop playing with our intelligence.

Among all of the wolves contesting, Jonathan is less wolf-like than the others. . . He is young, although not so fresh. He will win because Nigerian's want to rebel against these old papa's holding us hostage. He may not be the best, but will win to prove a point. The interesting election will be 2015. We would have gotten better, and better candidates will emerge. i hope a better election system is in place then. Jonathan will also win because he is just lucky, and is in the right place at the right time. Besides what have the 3 major ethnic groups got to show for their dominance? We may need a smaller group to show us the way, as we dont seem to be able to get along. The ND also deserves this opportunity, they have suffered and been exploited very much by the big 3. I may seem a little optimistic, but he will help us get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. wink

Please can you tell me how many youths and fresh blood are member of his cabinate? How many fresh bloods or youths are his advisers. Maybe you think presidency is jst all abt Jonathan and not people he surrounds himself with.
Do you think it would make any different voting in 20year boy who surrounds himself with the same old wine.

Are you real? What all progressive minds are set on in these epochal times, is the end of all tribalistic and regional thought; the end of zoning and shuffling. You need to key into that.

What is regional in selecting someone i think is more capable to handle the job than anybody from any other region? Moreover you are not answering my question.
You call it tribalism or regional thought becoz you think SS can not produce some who is capable of bringing the change we need. Why then are we blindly behind Jonathan? If we put sentiments aside and chose a credible person, what make you think Nigerians wouldnt vote for him?

My question to all my fellow Niger Deltans, Is GEJ the best SS could produce as a Vice or president?
I need an answer to question please. If 'Yes' then Shame on us, if 'NO' then we need to get our best to represent us. We cant afford to enroll our name together with the regions that kept this country backward since independence out of sentiments.
Politics / Re: Jonathan Replies Okah: You Are A Drowning Man by princekevo(m): 5:06pm On Oct 06, 2010
I just discovered many has lost their sense logical reasoning out of sentiments.

- Mend release a threat for an attack 4days before the attack.
- Ukah was arrested in SA few days before the attack as their leader, based on the warning issued by Mend.

After the Attack.
- Mend issued a message claiming responsibility for the attack.
- President exonerating Mend from the attack yet still holding Ukah responsible, charged to court for an arrestmade based on the Mend prior notice of an attack which finally took place.
- President and co claiming Ukah is an Ex mend member, as such his statements can not be taken serious.
- The same president invited Mend ex-Mend member who exonerated Mend from the attack after a coffee.
- The statement of the Ex-mend member invited for a coffee by the president is believed to be truth, but the statement release by another EX member of Mend is lies.

Please can someone explain to me all these like am a 4 year old boy, maybe i would understand it better.

IBB is no saint but if this is how he also killed Delegiwa, MKO, and others am really beginning to doubt all the allegation.

GEJ should jst do us one favour and shut up his mouth. The power does not lie again with IBB that we will say he is gonna obstruct the justices. The power is in his hand now. He should conduct a proper investigation and bring to book who ever is responsible for the attack. Not going up and down talking rubbish as if it is a primary school fight we are in. I hate Men who have in their possession both yam and knife but still whine of hunger.

Well said bro. I can't even believe , after all the PDP has put Nigeria through in 11 years, that any sane Nigerian would contemplate voting for a PDP Presidential candidate. In politically sophisticated nations , considering the gross misrule of the PDP, the ruling Party should be totally doomed at the next polls. Anyway , with 'bags of rice' politics that seeks to throw bananas at Monkeys we can see why the PDP, for doing nothing but steal, can still brag that it will rule for the next 60 years.

Well PDP, this evil party suddenly gave birth to a Messiah since guaranteed flag bearer is from my region or my towns man.

like u said if the Ijaw ppl blow their chance na them sabi

although for Nigerias sake i do not trust any of the other aspirants even ribadu[/b]
Are we now suppose to rally around Jonathan jst becoz he is Ijaw or becoz he is ND, Instead of supporting him only becoz he can bring the change we need. If you have the same mindset of supporting a candidate becoz he is from clown or region, instead of his credibility, what then makes us different from the north? Even if jonathan is from my family, i would never support him unless am fully convinced of his ability to make the change we really need.

Am suprised that people i used to read their post and believe we still got hope of a better Nigeria suddenly became blind supporters of evil, becoz the evil now is from their community, and they suddenly believe it could turn out to be good overnight.

My question to all of you blind supporters, is Jonathan the best that the whole south south  could produce as a president? If you guyz think he is then big shame us, but if he is not then we all have to go back to the drawing board and select the our best from SS who can bring that change Nigeria need.
Rallying around Jonathan jst becoz he is an Ijaw or from SS, not becoz am convinced he can deliver is what i can not condescend myself to do. In the first place He was never selected by the SS as our best, rather he was personally selected by an individual who is an enemy of that region for VP. So why should i be worried abt giving my mandate to someone i never chosed in the first place?

@poster
I will prefer SS to lose the opportunity if we cant unanimously select the best to voting one out of sentiment who will later drag the name of the whole SS into mud, just like the North had done to their region.
Politics / Re: We Did Not Bomb Abuja -- M E N D. by princekevo(m): 8:00am On Oct 06, 2010
Ibime:

@ Bombay,

Camp 5 is simply a business unit of MEND. Its like the owner of one McDonalds franchise claiming to own the McDonalds brand.

Tompolo knows nothing of what happened in Bonga or Abonnema. He can only speak of the operations he carried out in Delta and at Atlas Cove.

The invisible hand directing all these operations is Gbomo. Gbomo drew the manifesto of resource control which Tompolo knows little about. Gbomo wrote letter to Yaradua in Tompolos name detailing several issues from Federalism to Dredging of River Niger. Google it. I'm on my phone.

Yara knew that Gbomo/Okah have no fighters of their own and rely on several commanders so he decided to pull the floor from under MEND by buying out the commanders with amnesty. This left MEND with leadership intact but no workers. Since then Okah has been trying to build his own camps to prevent such happening again. The only commander in Abuja today who was present at the inception of MEND was Victor Ben (Boyloaf). He was MENDS first general. Others like Ateke have never worked for MEND. In 2007 when Omehia sent soldiers to fish out Ateke, MEND sent boys to defend Ateke with hopes of recruiting Ateke to fight for them. Ateke never kept his part of the bargain and never did any work for MEND, he just bears MEND name in newspapers. All these ones claiming MEND today, only Boyloaf, Tompolo and Dagogo are close to the initial set-up, but they have never been a national coordinatorn they are simply regional commanders.

Tell them. I tried to explain these in another thread. All these once who went to Abuja to upgrade their CV are the once who was successfully bought over by the government during Yaradu amnesty programme. Are we quickly forgeting that not all MEND's member accepted the amnesty. It is stupidity that would make someone claim, becoz you accepted the amnesty as member of Mend, as such there is nothing like Mend that still exist. Even the government realise this that is why they use the word EX - Mend. That means, they believe Mends still exist, but these once are ex. So are we to believe the word of the Mends that claimed the responsibility of the attack or the once that called themselves the EX.

GEJ to me is just making a mockery of himself, by forcing himself to prove a point. He should remember the whole world are watching, calculating his words with his actions. If he was wise he should have jst issued a statement on the attack and remain Neutral until the people is their job to really find out who is behind the attack to do so.

I believe Americans will roast Obama alive if there was an attack on the US soil which Al Quada with their history came out open and claimed responsibility for it, only for Obama to come out the next day exonerating Al quada from the attack. Unless after proper investigation is being made by the FBI to show they were not behind it.

Your twisted argument is even getting sour, which group is MEND without these guyz who called the shotz, so , These were the enforcers who shook the government before they accepted the fact that no matter how hard they tried, peace seemed to be the only way forward thereby accepting the amnesty, Stop all this confused and hilarious post, your still making a mess of everything as regards the MEND history,

Man those group are nothing but selfish individual, they must have been members of MEND one time or the other, but the government as usual succeeded in buying them off. So no true ND freedom fighters regards them as anything. Even i as a ND i don't see them representing me in any way, but fighting for their own pocket, while the real freedom fighters stick to their initial request. Even Ukah who seems to be their current leaders might knew nothing abt the attack while he was busy coolling off in SA. Not even to talk abt those criminals who went for a coffee with the president
Ok let me ask one simple question, you said they are still members of MEND. What was the outcome of their meeting with GEJ regarding to what MEND stands for, have been fighting and agitating for? Or is it another show off to boost their CV, having coffee with the Mr. president of FRN.

If Goodluck thinks the way to solve the problem is to invite those selfish folks for coffee, he is just postponing the evil days. Man you dont bury or silence problem, you solve them

Talk is cheap. The actions we are expecting from him is yet to be seen. He has not initiated dialogue where the root issues affecting the region would be addressed.

This is a clear message to all the selfish NDs who are blindly supporting GEJ. Jonathan in his declaration speech mentioned nothing specifically to address the issue affecting his region neither has he any intention to resume dialogue Yaradua his predecessor started for over 100days in office. All he is busy doing is trying to win himself another 4years in powers.

Someone asked a question which people has failed to answer, is what MEND asking for too big for our government to meet them? Is very easy for a child to hold his father responsible for his misfortunes. Jonathan will receive the highest disaster from MEND he called his people more than any other president from other region, if he failed to solve the problem once and for all.

Am really disappointing in GEJ and his clueless information minister for even letting NTA display such a height of madness. Indeed am beginning to question his intelligent as a PHD Holder. How do he and his administration think a sensible human, not even an educated person will buy such a cheap blackmail.

Are we all dumb in that nation?
Two bomb blast in Abuja, A prior warning from ( a MEND member) four days and 30min before the blast.
MEND later claiming responsibility, and asking for forgiveness for the lost of lives.
A day after, President shifting the blames from Mend, who already claimed the responsibility.
2 days after, a text message from suspects reading craps, that even a 4 year old bomber could not send such, with the names of his 2 enemies and political opponents mentioned at once.

If i contracted you to do a dirty job for me, wont there be a pre- arrangement on how to meet after a mission is completed to avoid any communication breach? If am watching such craps even in a movie i would turn off my TV and rest for those 2hrs. If i paid to watch such movie at the cinema i would come out and demand for my money back.

Am thinking now that GEJ is making IBB feel more useful in the country. Seeing him as a major threat that need to be eliminated shows nothing but Jonathan as a chicken.

He said if they had made proper efforts at nation building, the country would not have been where it is today.
