You are just labouring in vain and no amount of propaganda from your pigs and confirmed liars will change the truth that Lagos belongs to the Benins Who found Enugu and Onitsha?? Meanwhile Oba of Benin is a Yoruba man, Edo people said so.

How I wish they can divide this country so that we can live without this tribe that will see white and go ahead to insist that is black You are being objective but you believe Bini ancestors jumped Ore, Ijebu ode, Shagamu etc to go and be the founder of Lagos. |

TheBillyonaire: It has already been taken. You just do not understand how. Most of Lagos are owned by different entities, and some important places you can only access with key codes, no yoruba man or woman can approach private estates and says ' I am Yoruba, open the gates for me', you will be beaten to the point you will beg for your life. Tribalism dies where and when money and intelligence talks. You are mistaken. Politics triumph and that is why you guys will surely and certainly labour in vain in Lagos. Wait for what will be coming out from Lagos State HOA very soon. As it stands the land and house you are talking about is on lease and your next generation won't be able to lay claim to it. You guys are not smart, you showed your intention too early and it's already backfiring with many current bills in HOA... Expect more stringent government policies very soon and I bet all you will still do is to scream victimisation. And you talk about tribalism? Haha wait for 2027 election in Lagos to see the real Yoruba tribalism. |

Dareal90s: What now happened to Lagos, is it that Yoruba conquered it or what? because we all know every part of Lagos is filled with Yorubas and their culture/traditions.
Why don't we see people using Benin or any of languages spoken in Edo state in Lagos? Abi Bini ppl are cowards ni, can't they go and grab their Lagos back from the Yorubas? God bless you oh... All I see is Igbos trying very hard to drag Binis into tribal war with the Yorubas but it seems they are now successful with the thoughtless utterance of that drunkard Bini king. |

ada9ja: One thing you people don't know is that Igbo are normadic, so Lagos has them in large quantity compare to Yoruba in other states. The contribution of non-indigenes in a state should not be relegated. As of Lagos, Lagosian contributed to its growth by 2% while non-indigenes gave 98% such as people from other states not Lagos not just Igbos. How many of the Lagosian can you find out the state? The ochanja, upper iweka, nnewi, Aba, Enugu, Kano and other states with big markets, how.many Lagosians are there compare to Igbos. Igbos dominated theirs states and other states in terms of business or market. So it is wise for a government of that state to keep them involved. You guys are so crude in your reasoning I swear. The mentality of "what belongs to others belong to everyone but what belongs to us is for us alone" is just so annoying. The few Yorubas in the East even complained about how they couldn't even openly participate in your politics there but you all want to decide politics of SW. You bully others in your land and still want to bully them in their own land then cry victimisation when they resist your tomfoolery. You guys are pathetic clowns. |

TheBillyonaire: Take the emotional lenses off and look at another perspective as follows -
A Lagosian is anyone given birth to in Lagos State, whether his parents speak Hausa, Fulani, Igbo, Yoruba or any other language does not define a Lagosian. We have Igbo speaking part of Cross River at Ukwa, we also have Igbo Speaking part of Akwa Ibom. That does not mean they are not Akwa Ibomites or Cross Riverians. We have Igbo speaking part of Rivers State too.
Lagos is a State. One of the 37 States in Nigeria. Every State that I know of, have many indigenous languages. A State like Cross River, have over 50 languages, and they communicate to each other using English Language.
Lagos State also has so many languages being spoken by Lagos State indigenes, few of the Language are Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Fulani, Owori, etc.
Osun State indigene is not a Lagosian. Ondo State indigene is not a Lagosian. Anambra Indigene is not a Lagosian, and Edo State Indigene is not a Lagosian.
Lagos is not owned by a tribe at the moment, but there was a time she was owned by Benin, Portugal and a cartain Yoruboid tribe.
Lagos is a former Capital and was built with the common wealth of Nigeria, it is not Yoruba wealth so Yorubas can not say they own a place they did not build. The last owners were actually the ones who named them. Oko is not a known word, it is the first time I am learning that you can name a Bush, as Bush, when we all know that Bush is bush, so thats tautology Thank Goodness you guys are showing your intention about Lagos. Let's see how you will take it from the Yorubas with all these revelations. |

DiscoverID: Why na only ibos dey always dey against Yorubas? When Atiku went to CSU for a fishing expedition, all of a sudden ibos took it personal and were all over the cyberspace crying more than the bereaved. Did you see Hausa-Fulani calling Tinubu names? Did you see any Hausa-Fulani promising brimstone and fire if Tinubu is not removed from power?
Now, show me one Bini person on nairaland shouting about what his oba said, NONE! But immediately the oba erroneously said what he said, all ibo mongreals crawled out and went all out, all over Instagram, twitter and nairaland spewing thrash in their typical stupidity of an enemy of an enemy must be a friend.
When lagos state assembly enacted the Yoruba language protection Bill, which mandated Yoruba language to be spoken in all government establishments, you ibos out of 400 tribes in nigeria started protesting and calling lagos a no man's land.
We might not know our friends, but ibos? You have made yourselves our enemies and so shall it be. We heard you loud and clearly during the last elections on how you were planning to foist Chinedu Vivor Rhodes on us and how you promised to remove Oba of Lagos, remove all the ba'ales in Lagos.
You must be crushed and totally destroyed! You spoke well. |

He really didn't have to join that inglorious bandwagon, he diminished himself and rubbished his position with that comment especially right in front of his gracious host, which was so insulting, degrading and rewriting your host's history in his face.

OBA OF BENIN IS ON RECORD AS TRAVELLING BY RIVER AND THE PROXIMITY TO LAGOS IS VERY NEAR. Lol na dis kind news dey make una dick rise. Because you couldn't explain how Lagos is Igbo land you want to support the Binis so that you can legitimise your "no man's land" rhetorics. At the end of the day, all these talks will only make the Yorubas to be less accommodating and more politically conscious in Lagos. You accuse Yorubas of tribalism in the last election? Oba of Benin utterances was not necessary. That your ancestors were allowed to settle and built a camp on a tiny area around Lagos Island doesn't make them the founder of the land.

oluztx: Another Yorubaa. The problem with Yorubaa people is they lack foresight when doing things, they think they are wise and strategic. Lord Luggard even said that they are so selfish to their own detriment. Tinuubu has been appointing mostly Yorubaas to all majors positions, he's doing this not knowing this is not Lagos. Northerners are watching, SE and SS are also watching. When the time comes, Northerners know whatever they do, SE and SS will not interfere. If Tinubuu was smart, he would have given SS more positions, even more than Yorubaa, because those will be your core support base. This what Asari Dokubo was trying to say in his last video, you need a strong support base to run this country, otherwise you won't last. GEJ had two strong support base in SS and SE. Buhari had core North as his support base which is big enough. Tinuubu now has only SW has his support, which is not enough if you are from the south, you need at least two, SW alone cannot help you. It's obvious SE can never support him even if he give them 200 billion because they vote on principle and stand by it, but SS he can buy given the oil, pipeline contracts and militant groups. Just my advice to him. SE vote based on hate and blinded emotions not any principle. Leave principle to people that understand politics like SW. |
