Brilliant discourse here! To be candid, as I have pointed out on my latest thread titled 'why are you still in Nigeria'...the problematic situation of the country has really affected the drive and perspective of Nigerians..nobody today would consider passion without first calculating the financial gain..that is what the economy has provided us with...a nation where there is no reward for patriotism and hardwork..the man who takes the shortcut is always celeberated..I hope someday, things will change for the better |
If serving was to be optional..would u still volunteer to serve Naija? No lie ooo...for me, I no go serve cos here in Naija, there is no reward for patriotism.. |
Kobo, you hav a point but u can agree with me dat viewing a problem as being an individual phenomenon would nt solve it... |

Good Day..is like Everybody is saying their disciplines...me am a computer science dude ooo..I dey gallant.. |
I see..on a daily basis, Nigerians still move out of the country in troops in search for a greener pasture. Its not the issue of individual view as some people had suggested rather its the issue of whether the economy is favouring you or not.you may be okay here in Nigeria living fine but a more developed country might make you earn more and maximise your potentials. The reasons why Nigerians are still in Nigeria is a mystery. A nation where the economy favors a few and worsen the lives of the masses. Even the learned and well-equipped in terms of resources are complaining of low standard of living. For me, am here because it is my home and it will for ever be. Am here because it is still fair and useful to me, I hope it continues to be. But on a general rasa, the nation is worthy to be denied |
Good to be in a new and better house..kudos to you guyz..i guess my room number should be 5..after psoto, chuksblaze, sbabaj and godschild.. |
I must say that house like this is one of such great things that Nairaland has experienced..maturity displayed..harmony achieved..encoragement and inspiration.what else could we have desired as aspirants.considering the anomalities associated with NYSC, the uncomfortable periods faced while serving, but we remain undeterred and more hopeful, We are truly Nigerians.we are truely the good people of Nigeria.we are truly patriotic.. Am patriotic and love to see people displayin patriotism. Sbabaj, psoto, godschild, bentieman, abasufi, sexify,IK,CY,senior contra n odas have been doing great so far. In true spirit of National Jingoism, I submit and remain Loyal |

This morning a friend of mine told me he had the opportunity of moving out of the country but refused because he has a plan here Nigeria..I began to wonder and these came to my mind. Some of Nigerias major problems are tension, high poverty rate, insecurity, persistent criminal activities, poor electricity supply, unemployment, lawlessness, injustic, mismanagement of funds, corruption, to mention a few. Under all these, you and I still live in our dear nation. Though some have tried hard to abscond but efforts proved abortive while some like me are just being patriotic, what we call suffering and smiling. What is your own? What is keeping you in Nigeria? Patriotism, or no opportunity, or what.. |

@OP, you termed it 'primary school question'..fine!! So since a graduate who studied for example, an engineering course failed your primary school english test questions, that means he or she is not employable. I would accept this as a fact if and only if, you can re-invite these same people and this time, give them primary school mathematics question such as addition or multiplication involving 2 digits without using a calculator.if after this test, the same 3 graduates pass, then your conclusion is right..but if otherwise, this topic should be in the Joke section and try to meet as many people as possible daily till u come accross a lawyer who can not divide 23 by 2 except he sees a calculator. #humanResources is not an easy field |
Beautiful People here..am a prospective 2012 batch C corp member..shoutout to SbabaJ |
hmmmmmmm..I am loyal to this house. |
Nigeria will be built by Nigerians..is this how we are going to build it? By pple taking up the roles of other people in the society. We know you as Pastor Tunde Bakare and not senator tunde bakare.. Why not quit pastoring and join the shameless and visionless politicians we have instead of standing in between..i am highly disappointed |

1 OF 101 SECRETS KNOWN... TRULY 1ST LADY... .......OUR OWN FUTURE IN THIS NATION IS MY CONCERN, BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW LONG THEY LIVE, THEY WILL DIE SOME DAY AND THE EVIL THEY PERPETRATE WOULD CONTINUE TO LIVE..BECAUSE TO SOME YOUNG ONES OF LIKE ATTITUDE (EXAMPLE OF SUCH PEOPLE ARE NAIRALANDERS SUPPORTING THIS ACT), IT IS A LEGACY. |
LEADERS OF TOMORROW INDEED...NIGERIA AS A NATION STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO.. |
MAY HE RETURN HOME SAFELY..INSHA ALLAH |

yahoo!!! thank God, I have a hope as a .NET developer |
my opinion might not be regarded or may be seen as that from one who abets corruption but it belongs to me. it goes thus: from my own perspective, Hon. Faruk Lawan would be vindicated soon. The shame of the plotters would be brought to the public table. all these are just done to enervate his fighting spirit against indiscipline and corruption. am not saying Faruk lawan is not involved in this a whole mess, but the story we have heard would be re-told, its a matter of time. |
