Salewa97:Otedola didn't build anything. Geregu alongside Alaoji, Papalanto, Afam ii etc were built by the federal government. Meanwhile, Alaoji in Abia state is bigger than Geregu. |
waynetee:See this bigot. Geometric already built a gigantic power plant to give Aba 24 hours uninterrupted power supply. Igbos didn't make noise about it, but ordinary 30 megawatts is what you're gloating over? There is no guarantee it would even be completed, something that might be used for money laundering. |
If the judiciary fails to give a fair judgment, Nigeria won't survive as a country going forward. A lot is at stake. |
MS247:You don't even have shame. How can you be showing "Thurby" as same as Tinubu? The real certificate indicates it was a female! Tinubu mentioned a non existent primary school as the one he attended. He claimed to school at government college ibadan but the school denied he ever passed through there! He claimed he collected NYSC exemption certificate when such wasn't even available during the time! Why are you bigots still defending a fraud !!!! |
It's really a shame how Blacks tend to always self destruct due to crab mentality. When the second world war ended, the American government realized that German scientists and technologists were advanced than others across the globe. They were the bedrock that helped Hitler to even imagine conquering the world. So, they persuaded them to relocate to America. Gave them all the amenities and conducive environment to operate. United States benefitted greatly from their exploits! When the Biafra/Nigeria civil war ended, instead of the Nigerian government to empower the Biafran scientists and engineers to work for the country, they instead decided to destroy their efforts. They did it out of fear, envy, wickedness and ignorance. Today, Nigeria has continued in circles of poverty, when we should have become technologically advanced like the Asian Tigers. |
A plot of land opposite Federal mortgage estate, 11 million. It's in a gated new estate and well planned. |
A plot of land at Amaeze, Naze, Owerri. It's buy and build with buildings around. Price is 1.5 million. |
10 plots of land available for sale at Okuku, Owerri. @ 1 million each. |
sultanofpigs:Yorubaland ends in the 5 SW states i.e. Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun and Ekiti. Any attempt by them to go beyond these boundaries under Oduduwa will be resisted. Oduduwa will be another Benin republic. |
Tinubu will be removed and nothing will happen. |
People believe that buying property i.e. land or building is more profitable in Lagos than anywhere else in Nigeria. However, this is not actually true and I will prove it in this thread. I will be using Owerri as a case study. Moreover, buying property in Lagos has become increasingly risky, and even worse if you're Igbo or any tribe aside Yoruba. 1. A plot of land @ 10 million in Lagos can only be found in places like Ikorodu, Ejigbo and other fringes with slums around the neighborhood. But a 10 million naira land in Owerri can easily be in a gated estate/neighborhood with Lekki style buildings. 2. A 2 storey building on that 10 million naira land in Owerri can fetch a rent of 600,000 annually but the one in Lagos will find it difficult getting high paying tenants because of the poor neighborhood. 3. A property you bought in Owerri, will definitely be yours and even inherited by your children. However, any property you buy in Lagos will always be at risk. If you're lucky not to have issues with the family that sold it to you, the baale will wake up some day and claim that it owns the land. The state government might also decide to play politics and claim it was erected in a wrong zone or that it has developed structural defects. Thus, they would demolish it. 4. Buying land in Lagos is highly risky. The owner might decide to sell same property to different buyers at the same time. This scenario is quite common. Omoniles can even assassinate the buyer. The baale can instigate the youths with yoruba ronu cry and they will fight you. However, in Owerri, such situations don't occur. 5. Nigeria's future in the long run, is quite uncertain. Nobody knows what could happen in the next 5, 10 or 20 years to come. Again, Lagos has become highly volatile since politics of ethnicity was introduced during the last election. Such fears won't be in the heart of those that buy in Owerri. Whatever happens, your land/building will always be yours, even in the next 50 years or more! There are other reasons why buying lands/buildings is more profitable in Owerri than Lagos, but I will stop here for now. |
renderme:If you lack comprehension ability, then simply go back to primary school. |
Imo and Akwa Ibom seem to be making serious moves toward gas. Imo has already gone far on onshore gas while Akwa Ibom is now focusing on offshore gas. The two states are also in the first 5 with biggest GDP in Nigeria. |
plaindealer:You're the one confusing yourself out of desperation. IGR per capita is rubbish. Capital importation doesn't mean anything in real terms. A state can chose to tax citizens to stupor like you guys do in SW. Even pure water sellers are taxed! Another state can decide not to tax citizens and help them to have more disposable money. We are talking about GDP which is a globally recognized yardstick while you're talking about IGR. Na wa o. |
Workch:Forget about being Igbo, we are talking facts here. Demographia and other international organizations that gave that data don't have any reason to be biased. You don't know more than them! Lagos is most built up because there are buildings back-to-back for hundreds of miles. Same is applicable to Onitsha. They don't consider Ibadan as built-up because the buildings are more or less shanties, which are categorized as slums by those international bodies. |
Workch:ChatGPT shouldn't be relied upon on such issue. Demographia and other research bodies are more reliable. ChatGPT only picks random information online to form its opinion. You should also understand that Metropolitan area is not same as city. Onitsha metropolitan area includes Obosi, Oba and others. By 2040 more than half of Anambra will be part of greater Onitsha. P.H growth is largely limited because of the torpographic nature of the state. Only Obigbo, parts of Etche, Ikwerre, Ogoni and other adjoining will become part of P.H. |
kettykings:Anytime you're traveling from Onitsha, you will observe that the stretch from Onitsha/Owerri road remains busy with towns almost joining each other all the way to Owerri. Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Uli, Mgbidi, Awo omama etc. Then Owerri. In years to come, they will all combine to form a cornubation just like Tokyo. |
SpecialAdviser:Do you even understand the term GDP I.e. gross domestic product? It means total value of goods and services generated within a state. Enugu has been lagging in terms of Agriculture, Industry, Commerce and even extraction of minerals. These are the major sectors that contribute to GDP. Ebonyi is leveraging on extraction of solid minerals and agriculture that's why it seems to be punching above its weight. Imo State is leveraging on oil and gas value chain and services. By the time the gas resources are fully developed in Imo, the state will even grow more rapidly. Check the volume of airports traffic in Nigeria and you will see Owerri on the 4th position, breathing down on P.H. |
I used to think that Yorubas are smart until I saw them being manipulated by Reno. Omockry just dey use their brain anyhow. Dey press their mumu button and they keep liking and sharing his IQ reducing posts ![]() |
WorldRichest:I couldn't stop laughing when they called Yoruba cultural practice paganism ![]() Omo, Fulanis no send anyone ![]() |
Utsmandanfodio:Lol, this one is not even getting the message. Fulanis see llorin as a muslim Northern town, the way they see others like Kano, Kaduna, Katsina etc. They don't want anything that would make Illorin to be perceived as a Yoruba town. FYI, that order most likely came from Sokoto! |
Raskimonojendor:What are you talking about? Do agbo hawkers stay in shops? |
mrvitalis:My brother, forget tax. There is a reason SE governors don't put emphasis on tax. With all the so-called tax generated in Ogun state, its infrastructure is still in terrible state. Aba has far better roads than what you will find in Sango Ota and Agbara. They can even tax companies in Lagos and Ogun because majority of the owners are either foreigners or from other states. So, instead of repatriating every profit, the government there uses tax to get a small percentage. However, most companies in the East are owned by our people. We don't need to tax them arbitrarily. A state like Imo with huge oil and gas deposits already has enough funds for government to work with. Create enabling environment and our people will invest and the money stays in our region. |
HitlerWasRight:Lol, you're not even getting it. Once Igbos leave the contraption, Nigeria automatically becomes less influencial. The bragging rights Igbos bring to Nigeria, be it in football, education, famous personalities like Okonjo Iweala, oil and gas, indigenous manufacturing, Nigerian hustling clout abroaf etc. Would be lost to Biafra. Nigeria would become a dead weight. Again, without Igbos, the country will collapse because we are the glue holding it together. |
Cooly100:I wonder how the same people that supported a drug lord and attacked fellow citizens are now preaching unity. Today, Igbos must leave Lagos, Igbos must not vote in election. Tomorrow, Nigeria is better as one country, we need each other. What sort of confused despicable souls are these ![]() |
HitlerWasRight:Crap! Go to Cameroun, Benin, Ghana, Ivory coast, Gabon, Congo, SA, Mozambique, US, Asia, Europe etc. Igbos are in large numbers in all those places. With or without Nigeria, it won't stop us from traveling the world. How many Igbos are in the North or Lagos that makes you believe they can't relocate elsewhere with ease? |
ebubeson:Now you're sure Igbos will prefer Nigeria over Biafra, can you all demand for Nnamdi Kanu release? Then call for referendum? |
calabaman:If Nigerian police can wear ordinary bathroom slippers on duty then what's wrong in a militant group wearing sneakers? Their uniforms aren't oversize by the way. |
Sharpsharp00123:Stop mentioning me over irrelevant things because I will ignore. If IPOB flog school children that's child abuse, you should call the police, not me. I dwell on important issues such as the projected disappearance of Lagos by 2050. The threat is real my brother. |
Ibadanpikin:Let the slum dwellers breathe na ![]() |
Bakrabas:Lol, are they supposed to be rich ![]() |
