PoliticsRe: Reasons Why Niger Delta Can Never Be Part Of Biafra by proeast(m): 10:06am On Oct 07, 2021
Antoeni:
[s]Before you even think of forming alliance with the Biafrans please remember that our Hero Isaac Adaka Boro was sentenced to death by two supposed Igbo men named ( Odumegwu Ojukwu) and ( Aguiyi Ironsi), who were still pleased with the one Nigeria slogan because Boro declared Niger Delta republic. Ironsi the then military head of state, ordered Ojukwu to arrest Isaac Adaka Boro for treason.

Ojukwu who was enjoying the one Nigeria slogan fought against Isaac Adaka Boro using federal might to kill about 150 foot soldiers of Boro ( Ijaw sons remember). Ojukwu got Boro arrested and stripped him naked, paraded him as a criminal and sent him to Lagos where Ironsi charged him to court and convicted him within 2 months and sentenced him to death by hanging for trying to break out from the slogan of one Nigeria Ojukwu was enjoying.

But before Ojukwu and Ironsi could execute their plans of hanging Boro God intervened and there was a counter coup that overthrow Ironsi and was killed. Gowon took over power and declared Isaac Adaka Boro innocent and released him. Then after 15 months later the same Ojukwu who was enjoying the one Nigeria slogan couldn't take it any longer and declared Biafra republic even included the same Ijaw lands in the map of Niger Delta Republic that Boro mapped out.

This angered Isaac Adaka Boro that the same man who tried to kill me for declaring my own Republic is now declaring his own Biafra republic then I will join hands with the federal government of Nigeria to fight against him. That was how Boro and Ken Saro wiwa of Blessed memory joined hands with General Gowon and fought against the Biafra republic.

Before any true Ijaw son or daughter will support the Biafrans who has refused to apologise to our Heroes and are still forcing us to leave Nigeria for another Igbo Nigeria should have a rethink and re-trace their track that a man who has refused you having your own Republic is forcing you to be part of his own Biafra republic. Even as we speak today Those front runners of Biafra republic take the Ijaw man as an inferior citizen the basic reason they have always forced our lands in their supposed Biafra maps.

A land full of milk and honey left behind by our ancestors should not be sold out for a cup of tea.

Long live Niger Delta Republic!

When fools talk one would know. When you keep parroting Niger Delta without acknowledging the fact that Igbos make up a good percentage of it then it shows how ignorant you are.

Niger Delta is just a geographical expression, it is not a means of identification rather tribes or ethnicity is. In what you call Niger Delta today, Delta and Edo states were once part of Mid West region, Obigbo was once part of Abia State and Egbema were once part of Imo State, Cross River and Akwa Ibom were at some point not part of Niger Delta. So it is foolishness when you gather diverse people with different ideologies and try to force ijaw agenda on them. What is the business of an Akwa Ibom man, Cross River man, Obigbo man, Anioma man, Itshekiri man or Bini man with Isaac Boro? You see how deluded most of you ijaws are? All these tribes and ethnicities I mentioned all have their own heroes they hold in high esteem but you ijaws keep parroting Isaac Boro like he is a deity they all should worship. Is that how you ijaws hope to subjugate others in your imaginary Babel republic??

True! Remember Uwazuruike-led MASSOB? It died and IPOB cropped up.

Should IPOB die, I am definitely sure another is coming up soon.
And they forget that whenever a new group emerges from the ashes of a previous one, they tend to be more dangerous.

During the time of MASSOB, they only waved Biafra flags and organized rallies. However, IPOB emerged and after learning from the mistakes of MASSOB, they took the agitation to a whole new level and it became a global force with an armed militia wing.

Going by the progressions, I won't be surprised if the next one that will emerge after IPOB forms an army and goes into full blown guerilla warfare.

PoliticsRe: State Of Emergency In Anambra: "You're An Ignoramus" - Falana Tells Malami by proeast(m): 8:26am On Oct 07, 2021
Nigeria is a disgusting criminal organization run by a mafia. This is not a country in the least sense of it but a charade and a crime against humanity.

How do you reconcile the fact that police and army doesn't take orders from governors but from the president yet the president is contemplating on removing a governor when it is the president that has failed to use the police and army under its control to bring order?!

Borno, Katsina, Adamawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna and almost all Northern states are in a state of anarchy with hundreds of people killed everyday, communities destroyed and sacked, Boko Haram and bandits carving out territories yet the useless and grossly irresponsible federal government ignores them only to start contemplating a state of emergency in Anambra that is facing political killings??

All these goes to show and prove that those responsible for the killings in Anambra have the blessings of those in authority. Their aim is to kill two birds with one stone i.e. to rig the election and install a puppet like they did in Imo State and secondly to blame IPOB and decieve the world that the group is a terrorist organization.

They're obviously working with some evil local men in APC to cause so much damage and thus justify their actions. They don't mind killing innocent men and assets like Dr. Akinyuli so gruesomely just for their wicked aims.

Nigeria has no basis to continue existing!!!

[s]Former Governor Ihedioha’s SSG Appointed As IPOB/ESN New Legal Adviser (Photos)

Uche Onyeagocha, a former Secretary to the State Government in the defunct Emeka Ihedioha government in Imo State, has been appointed as the new legal counsel to the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) as well as it’s military wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The group, in a release signed by its Spokesperson, Emma Powerful , said Onyeagocha’s appointment was based on his long-standing commitment and outstanding performance in the Biafra struggle before he proceeded to take up the appointment as the Secretary to the Government of Imo State under Emeka Ihedioha from May 2019 to January 2020.

The release reads: In view of your long-standing commitment and outstanding performance in all strata of the Society, particularly as the former National Legal Adviser of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta (MEND) before you proceeded on your sabbatical leave to serve Imo State, the leadership of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has approved your appointment as its National Legal Adviser.

“While we congratulate you, it is hoped that you will continue to bring to bear, your wealth of experience in this struggle to liberate our people”.

Onyeagocha, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives for Owerri Municipal/Owerri North/Owerri West Constituency and SSG to Former Governor Emeka Ihedioha, studied at the University of Calabar as well as Rivers State University of Science and Technology where he graduated with degrees in History and Law respectively.

Onyeagocha who is a former APC and APGA chieftain has also held the position of Special Adviser on Policy and Strategic Matters to the Imo State Government.

The roads:- This section of our society yawned for attention for a very long time but suffered huge neglect by successive administrations but Uzodimma's Midas touch was on hand to turn it around.

Civil service:- This section experienced so.much decays and was in a near comatose situation and was on a life support, the digitalisation of the sector was a great succour thus her recovery.

Revenue mobilization:- like Magic, Onwa explored many ways of generating of revenue for the state which included, the introduction of automated payment system in all MDAs, Continuation of TSA inline with federal government police directives and innovations that was of great help to ndi IMO, thus bountiful revenue generation monthly.

Youth's emancipation, The Governor pioneered an all encompassing youth empowerment projects in the whole federation thus the name, THE MOST YOUTH FRIENDLY GOVERNOR.

Security:- though politically, but his reaching and engagement of the critical stake holders is yielding fruits and in no distant time the trouble shooter and the enforcing gangs will be made to face the law...

In all this space will not accommodate all his efforts in making IMO a better state but it can only make one to ask, IS HOPE A MAGICIAN?

I am not attacking your tribe, thank you.

I don't dispute that. My problem is, it is dependent on imports, not on manufacturing like most of Africa for example. We use the revenue of our raw materials to import and import..

The problem is such industries are in the minority, not the majority. That bothers me, because I want them to be in the majority and to be mass exporters to Europe, America, and Asia.

Also, Nigeria, not just Ibo land, needs more and more small scale manufacturers who would make the small components that would make the big industries stronger, and save them money.

They are alll backward import dependent regions as well, which is why I am not impressed with them either. And that includes your region too.

Even Lagos, the number one business there is selling imported stuff.

Until Nigerians stop being importers, and start making things, we will remain backward. That's the resource curse.

Same for most of Africa.

And we have bad electriicty because most Nigerians don't want to pay the market price for power. Instead we pay below what it costs to produce power in this country...which is why we don't have power.

Unlike the telecoms sector, where telecom companies were allowed to charge market price for their stuff. Today it is growing despite all those handicaps that you listed.

The thing is, the only way you can let an industry grow is to allow it make a profit, not to put price controls (That's why we don't have refineries in this country)

Also, even if we had all these things...it is easier to import and sell. Most of us are not interested in manufactruring...and that goes for Ibo land. Most Nigerians want office job, not technical and vocational jobs...or business...selling imported stuff...not manufacturing because...

And we have bad roads because our tax to gdp ratio is too low to fund good roads, and our leaders are all corrupt, and you people defend them . You and your Yoruba, Hausa and other tribespeople.

No, if all of Nigeria stops relying on oil , and starts relying on manufacturing, relying on setting up small scale industries and large scale industries, and ends subsides and price controls on power, and allows the DISCOS and Gencos to make enough of a profit to pay for improvements, then we will get there.

If Nigeria Africa starts using its raw materials to make goods for the global market....we will get there.

Good morning. And by the way, if you accuse me of attacking your tribe again, I will be very cross with you. I have no reason to hate your tribe or any tribe. This comment is not made out of hate for any tribe.
Well, I'm sorry for being aggressive on you now I understand where you're coming from. You're either new on nairaland or actually belong to the minority who doesn't exude Igbophobia like most Nigerians.

That said, the biggest challenge militating against the industrial development of Nigeria is basically irresponsible and ridiculously poor governance. A few years ago, one Igbo man established the biggest tomato plant in Nigeria called Erisco but soon he became frustrated when he couldn't get forex to import some machinery and other raw materials necessary for optimal production. He kept lamenting and calling on government to make policies that would help local production but he was ignored until he eventually closed his factory! The same government that won't assist industrialists to produce in Nigeria are busy sponsoring religious holiday pilgrimage jamboree in the hajj to Saudi Arabia annually, wasting forex on fruitless ventures!

Till tomorrow, the American and Chinese governments among others subsidize production in their countries even when all necessary amenities needed for production are already in place.

Igbos naturally prefer to produce and sell than to even buy and sell. However, no smart investor will build a factory and run at a loss when he could easily take the next available flight to China and strike a deal that will give him double profits with no stress. I'm not saying this because I'm Igbo, but 2 things you can't take away from Igbos are hardwork and creativity. In the East, we now even look down on white collar jobs like banking and civil servants, you know why? Many youths in the markets know they can make in a week what they make in a month! Many graduates are now returning to the markets or other vocations so white collar jobs have lost its attraction due to low wages, at least in the East.

I can take you on a tour of Aba and I promise you, you will weep at the opportunities wasting away due to irresponsible governance. The entire areas known as Kent in Aba, that includes Azikiwe road, Asa road and Shopping centre is where you will find hundreds of tailors producing all manner of clothing in commercial quantities. You will get shirts, trousers, boxers, suits, overalls, labcoats, bedspreads etc. They ship them from there to all parts of Nigeria and ECOWAS region! Go to Bakassi area in Ariaria, and you will see hundreds of small scale producers of shoes, bags, belts and all kinds of leather materials. From there they send the products to all parts of Nigeria and beyond! If only they're putting made in Nigeria label on them, you will be shocked to realize that most of the things we wear in Nigeria were actually produced in Aba!

It didn't start today, if we could produce all those semi advanced war equipment as far back as 1967 during the civil war, with next to nothing, is it now that we can't do more with little encouragement?

The reason why we keep agitating for Biafra despite all the challenges that will come with it is because it will enable us to carry our destiny in our hands.

Actually, the number one business in Ibo Land, as in most parts of Nigeria is buying imported goods and selling them at a profit.

You have some manufacturing, but at the end of the day, that's not the main business.

Meanwhile, Israel is an industrial country, which relies on its industries to grow. They don't engage in mass importation like in Ibo Land.

And it isn't an Ibo problem...every tribe does the same thing.

We are all under the resource curse. We all rely on revenue from export of raw materials, and use the same revenue to import and import and imprt.

And no, I am not attacking your tribe...I am attacking all African countries, and a lot of Asian and even some Latin American countries...because that's how most of them live. Many Asian counties have woken up...like now, China is the world leader in producing televisions. Along with Japan and SOuth Korea.
Most of you are full of shiit and ignorance yet you keep deluding yourselves as informed. What China and Asian Tigers did to become great are exactly the same things Igbos are doing but unbridled hate won't allow you to see it. However, I will enlighten you other hate filled bigots for free.

1. The economy of Igboland was wiped out in 1970 yet decades after we have bounced back to the top despite all manner of state sanctioned policies to keep us down.

2. How did China and Asian Tigers become great? They are naturally smart and creative and kept producing inferior goods while copying the West until they perfected in many areas. Is this any different from what Igbos are doing today? Most Igbo industrialists today started off from 1970 as petty traders, buying and selling imported goods. With time they were able to amass enough capital and started going into industrial production of same goods. Go to Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha and you will see many of such industries! Innoson, Ibeto, Coscharis, Udeagbala, Chicason, Tonimas etc all started as petty traders, but today they have grown to conglomerates! Innoson is today the first and most viable indigenous car maker in Africa!

3. Outside Lagos region, which other places in Nigeria are more Industrialized and commercially viable than Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi? Can you name them??

4. The only reason why Igbos haven't gone into full blast industrial production is because the Nigerian economy is so uncondusive with lack of electricity, bad roads and unfair government policies thus competing against cheap Chinese imports becomes almost impossible. As capitalists, we engage in what brings the maximum returns on investments!

If half of Nigeria are as illustrious as Igbos with good governance, no country in Africa will see our back and the Asians won't be any better.

Talking down on Igbos is what many Nigerians now do as a coping mechanism to cover up for their own flaws.

We will see which VAT they will be crying about going forward.

Ndi ara!
You are right.
When the war ended, Igboland was stripped of anything that would help it economically and politically. All the oil producing communities in the old Imo State, particularly Egbema and Etche areas as well as Obigbo were all taken from us and handed over to Rivers State. The loss of those areas must have cost us billions of dollars in terms of revenue and economic development.

Back then, the Northern rulers thought that only Igbos posed a significant threat to them while the minorities would always be pawns. However, recent developments has shown that Rivers State that robbed us of all those assets have now grown into a behemoth largely based on those spoils. So they have no option now than to cut them to size by revisiting those crimes and handing over to Imo and Abia States what rightfully belongs to them. They can start with the oil wells that have been ceded to Imo State, extend it to Abia by ceding back Obigbo to them. Then sit back and watch Wike or any future governor cut to size.

If Hope is street wise, he would have rallied SE governors to reach agreement with the FG that would back the status quo on VAT if only our lands and oil wells are given back to us.
