Antoeni:When fools talk one would know. When you keep parroting Niger Delta without acknowledging the fact that Igbos make up a good percentage of it then it shows how ignorant you are. Niger Delta is just a geographical expression, it is not a means of identification rather tribes or ethnicity is. In what you call Niger Delta today, Delta and Edo states were once part of Mid West region, Obigbo was once part of Abia State and Egbema were once part of Imo State, Cross River and Akwa Ibom were at some point not part of Niger Delta. So it is foolishness when you gather diverse people with different ideologies and try to force ijaw agenda on them. What is the business of an Akwa Ibom man, Cross River man, Obigbo man, Anioma man, Itshekiri man or Bini man with Isaac Boro? You see how deluded most of you ijaws are? All these tribes and ethnicities I mentioned all have their own heroes they hold in high esteem but you ijaws keep parroting Isaac Boro like he is a deity they all should worship. Is that how you ijaws hope to subjugate others in your imaginary Babel republic?? |
It's all a storm in a tea cup. Some people in authority brought in fake anarchy hoping to cash out from it but now it has failed, they will get tired eventually and leave Igboland. |
Sunday2021:Sorry, you have akamu instead of brain. So you want Abaribe to say that he is standing with IPOB so it would be used to sabotage him? No, he is obviously wiser than your entire generation As an educated and wise man, Abaribe understood the landmine in that question and he smartly manuevered over it without denying or accepting, that's the way genius thinkers reason! Abaribe has written his name in gold already and posterity will be very nice to him. I bet you he is on the lips of most Northerners and the mention of his name evokes frustration and bitterness among them but you all can choke on it ![]() |
deantimes:And they forget that whenever a new group emerges from the ashes of a previous one, they tend to be more dangerous. During the time of MASSOB, they only waved Biafra flags and organized rallies. However, IPOB emerged and after learning from the mistakes of MASSOB, they took the agitation to a whole new level and it became a global force with an armed militia wing. Going by the progressions, I won't be surprised if the next one that will emerge after IPOB forms an army and goes into full blown guerilla warfare. We have dunces at the helm of affairs who can't see beyond their noses. |
Nigeria is a disgusting criminal organization run by a mafia. This is not a country in the least sense of it but a charade and a crime against humanity. How do you reconcile the fact that police and army doesn't take orders from governors but from the president yet the president is contemplating on removing a governor when it is the president that has failed to use the police and army under its control to bring order?! Borno, Katsina, Adamawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna and almost all Northern states are in a state of anarchy with hundreds of people killed everyday, communities destroyed and sacked, Boko Haram and bandits carving out territories yet the useless and grossly irresponsible federal government ignores them only to start contemplating a state of emergency in Anambra that is facing political killings?? All these goes to show and prove that those responsible for the killings in Anambra have the blessings of those in authority. Their aim is to kill two birds with one stone i.e. to rig the election and install a puppet like they did in Imo State and secondly to blame IPOB and decieve the world that the group is a terrorist organization. They're obviously working with some evil local men in APC to cause so much damage and thus justify their actions. They don't mind killing innocent men and assets like Dr. Akinyuli so gruesomely just for their wicked aims. Nigeria has no basis to continue existing!!! |
No matter how far a lie travels, truth will always overtake it one day. Any smart person already knew all these madness is being sponsored by those who are desperately trying to make the world see IPOB as a terrorist organization. |
Horrible!! Little wonder why Russia is still regarded as a third world country. Having nukes doesn't make a nation developed. Tufiakwa!!! |
Ikpunwanyianamb:You're obviously mentally sick and you may end up choking on the hate that has enveloped you. All your rants doesn't change anything on ground, so you will end up frustrated. |
Izuchukwu18:Give me a link to the Facebook page, I want to see something. Meanwhile, the worst thing Ijaws will do to themselves will be to antagonize us because we will not only expose their ciminal landgrabbing attempts but also help other minorities to completely ostracize them. I wonder why they think that every riverran community is ijaw, even those that are older than them! Using terror under the guise of militancy to instill fear on these minorities can't work again. |
AnnouncerMedia:I can smell fake news from 1000 miles away and this here is fake news! Lol, some gullible people that can't think are already masturbating on the fake news. No wonder why they were able to package a re.tard Bulhary and sell to them. APC goons in Imo State can't even do a good propaganda job. If you're hoping to tarnish this man's image or that of Ihedioha by associating him with IPOB then you've failed because it would backfire and make them more popular. Fools!!! |
NnadiClinton:Poor sycophant job! The puppet is the worst thing that happened to Imo State and we can't wait to send him packing!! |
Khaleepha5681:It is obvious you missed your medications this morning because no normal person will type such incoherent nonsense you wrote. Nairaland should put in place some form of tests to help sieve out normal people from Yabaleft mentally sick patients |
Igboid:Any group or movement hoping to share a country with the present day Rivers, Bayelsa and Riveran Delta State will suffer for 600 years. That zone would be worse than South Sudan because nothing will stop them from annihilating themselves. We Igbos must avoid them at all costs!! |
Furked up failed country. Every nation including small republics like Ghana now form Rambo at the mention of Nigeria. Shame!! |
Malawian:The fat fool is so senseless that he doesn't know those in authority may decide to eliminate him now and drop a cardboard paper with the inscription unknown gunmen ![]() They may decide to that in hopes of pitching minorities against Igbos which would be a win win for them by scattering southern unity. I know he has no sense but people around him should advice him to stay away from Eastern Nigeria now. |
anorexicmuster:Well, I'm sorry for being aggressive on you now I understand where you're coming from. You're either new on nairaland or actually belong to the minority who doesn't exude Igbophobia like most Nigerians. That said, the biggest challenge militating against the industrial development of Nigeria is basically irresponsible and ridiculously poor governance. A few years ago, one Igbo man established the biggest tomato plant in Nigeria called Erisco but soon he became frustrated when he couldn't get forex to import some machinery and other raw materials necessary for optimal production. He kept lamenting and calling on government to make policies that would help local production but he was ignored until he eventually closed his factory! The same government that won't assist industrialists to produce in Nigeria are busy sponsoring religious holiday pilgrimage jamboree in the hajj to Saudi Arabia annually, wasting forex on fruitless ventures! Till tomorrow, the American and Chinese governments among others subsidize production in their countries even when all necessary amenities needed for production are already in place. Igbos naturally prefer to produce and sell than to even buy and sell. However, no smart investor will build a factory and run at a loss when he could easily take the next available flight to China and strike a deal that will give him double profits with no stress. I'm not saying this because I'm Igbo, but 2 things you can't take away from Igbos are hardwork and creativity. In the East, we now even look down on white collar jobs like banking and civil servants, you know why? Many youths in the markets know they can make in a week what they make in a month! Many graduates are now returning to the markets or other vocations so white collar jobs have lost its attraction due to low wages, at least in the East. I can take you on a tour of Aba and I promise you, you will weep at the opportunities wasting away due to irresponsible governance. The entire areas known as Kent in Aba, that includes Azikiwe road, Asa road and Shopping centre is where you will find hundreds of tailors producing all manner of clothing in commercial quantities. You will get shirts, trousers, boxers, suits, overalls, labcoats, bedspreads etc. They ship them from there to all parts of Nigeria and ECOWAS region! Go to Bakassi area in Ariaria, and you will see hundreds of small scale producers of shoes, bags, belts and all kinds of leather materials. From there they send the products to all parts of Nigeria and beyond! If only they're putting made in Nigeria label on them, you will be shocked to realize that most of the things we wear in Nigeria were actually produced in Aba! It didn't start today, if we could produce all those semi advanced war equipment as far back as 1967 during the civil war, with next to nothing, is it now that we can't do more with little encouragement? The reason why we keep agitating for Biafra despite all the challenges that will come with it is because it will enable us to carry our destiny in our hands. |
ceeceeuwa:The fat fool can't have a reasonable opinion on Igbos because he is just a mere tout. His worthless message is irrelevant because even the least Igbo man in the street is far more intelligent and reasonable than the fat fool. If he is sensible, he would be channeling his grievances against those that milked his region dry and left on pollution and hopelessness for them! Both his worthless self and his minority ethnic group will forever be irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and they will always be lost under our shadows and would never get to our level even in the next 1000 years!! |
anorexicmuster:Most of you are full of shiit and ignorance yet you keep deluding yourselves as informed. What China and Asian Tigers did to become great are exactly the same things Igbos are doing but unbridled hate won't allow you to see it. However, I will enlighten you other hate filled bigots for free. 1. The economy of Igboland was wiped out in 1970 yet decades after we have bounced back to the top despite all manner of state sanctioned policies to keep us down. 2. How did China and Asian Tigers become great? They are naturally smart and creative and kept producing inferior goods while copying the West until they perfected in many areas. Is this any different from what Igbos are doing today? Most Igbo industrialists today started off from 1970 as petty traders, buying and selling imported goods. With time they were able to amass enough capital and started going into industrial production of same goods. Go to Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha and you will see many of such industries! Innoson, Ibeto, Coscharis, Udeagbala, Chicason, Tonimas etc all started as petty traders, but today they have grown to conglomerates! Innoson is today the first and most viable indigenous car maker in Africa! 3. Outside Lagos region, which other places in Nigeria are more Industrialized and commercially viable than Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi? Can you name them?? 4. The only reason why Igbos haven't gone into full blast industrial production is because the Nigerian economy is so uncondusive with lack of electricity, bad roads and unfair government policies thus competing against cheap Chinese imports becomes almost impossible. As capitalists, we engage in what brings the maximum returns on investments! If half of Nigeria are as illustrious as Igbos with good governance, no country in Africa will see our back and the Asians won't be any better. Talking down on Igbos is what many Nigerians now do as a coping mechanism to cover up for their own flaws. |
criuze:Every irrelevant fool in Nigeria now believe that insulting Igbos is the easiest way to gain attention. A mere tout whose only achievement was to organize juvenile delinquents to bomb pipelines and kidnapp oil workers for ransom thinks he has an opinion about Igbos. This fat fool and his entire ethnicity can not stand Igbos in anything of worth but he hides somewhere to utter fabricated gibberish. If this fat fool has an iota of sense, he would be channeling his energy in fighting for their rights. The oil is mainly in the Niger Delta yet there is no development of worth in the region except pollution, poverty and deprivation but they keep seeing Igbos as their problem and easy way to gain cheap attention. Even the least Igbo man has more sense than this fat fool. He has gotten his 2 minutes attention and soon he would fade into obscurity again. |
Etche and Egbema should be brought back to their origin. Imagine treating a woman in such a disgraceful manner. Tufiakwa. |
The country has totally gone beserk. For those that claim UGM is synonymous with IPOB, all these ones happening in SS, SW and North by same UGM are they being done by IPOB too ![]() |
Look at the idiat. What we are currently facing is fake anarchy by fifth columnists who are writing a script they hope to nail IPOB with. All the shenanigans is just force a tag of terrorism on an otherwise peaceful group. So I don't understand what this man is talking about, if the fulani herdsmen terrorists have left our region then that's good news, they should continue to stay away, period! |
Lol, the federal government is really becoming very desperate. They're now paying foreigners to write tarnishing reports against IPOB all in an attempt to decieve the United States. However, they forgot that US government already has Intel and knows the truth ![]() |
Igboid:I hate it whenever we tag ourselves with ports in other people's lands when we can have ours in our own territories! Building a viable port in Calabar or any other place outside Igboland won't have any significant benefit to us except reduced haulage time! We will still pay tax and boost the economy of others and not ours! On the contrary, we should be sitting with those in control of Nigeria's affairs and negotiating with them to build a port in Imo or Abia State and have the federal government dredge it fully in partnership with investors. Edo state is building a port that is more inland than a port in Obehie, Abia State would be! They passed through Delta river channels without any issue so why can't we pass through a channel in Rivers State? Give us all our stolen oils and a port in Igboland and we will forget about Biafra. That should be our elite stand while negotiating with those controlling Nigeria. Let the government |
Igboid:You are right. When the war ended, Igboland was stripped of anything that would help it economically and politically. All the oil producing communities in the old Imo State, particularly Egbema and Etche areas as well as Obigbo were all taken from us and handed over to Rivers State. The loss of those areas must have cost us billions of dollars in terms of revenue and economic development. Back then, the Northern rulers thought that only Igbos posed a significant threat to them while the minorities would always be pawns. However, recent developments has shown that Rivers State that robbed us of all those assets have now grown into a behemoth largely based on those spoils. So they have no option now than to cut them to size by revisiting those crimes and handing over to Imo and Abia States what rightfully belongs to them. They can start with the oil wells that have been ceded to Imo State, extend it to Abia by ceding back Obigbo to them. Then sit back and watch Wike or any future governor cut to size. If Hope is street wise, he would have rallied SE governors to reach agreement with the FG that would back the status quo on VAT if only our lands and oil wells are given back to us. |
Tranquill:Stop fooling yourself and get some education please! Your problem is largely inability to read and comprehend. This article was obviously written several years ago, the fact that Asaba airport was under construction as stated by the writer proves that. Secondly, the writer mentioned ijaw just to state facts about oil and gas production and nothing else. Thirdly, most of the things the writer stated are verifiable facts yet goons like you will ignore it to start wanking on your unbridled hate and Igbophobia. Rubbish!!! |
