TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by proeast(m): 5:51am On Oct 11, 2021
fkj950ax:
Your brother is not honest with you. You need to have a deep conversation with him. Someone giving you zobo about work and travel will not accommodate and feed you for 90 days.
You cannot work in the US except you have work authorization or you are a citizen. A visit visa doesn't allow you to work. If you even get the visa and you are questioned at PoE, your visa will be canceled and you will be deported. 3 year ban will follow.
No company will even employ you without SSN or EAD.
This is grounds for the embassy to deny you and flag your profile for subsequent applications.
No VO will approve an application if your intention is to go and work for 3 months. And "Summer" is over. Its Fall going to Winter in the US right now.

You have the right to apply for any visa to the US, but there are conditions you must meet to get the visa approved. A visit visa is for holiday purposes. Not work.
There are work visas available for you to apply, but do you qualify. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wizard.html
He is my immediate elder brother so I don't think accommodating or feeding me for 90 days would be such an impossible sacrifice, even though I can still contribute.

He has been working in America just like many other Nigerians who are not citizens. He told me of different people he has met that came to America and worked for a few months before returning to Nigeria and they all came with either visiting or tourism visa. He has absolutely no reason not to be honest with me.

Of course, I won't tell them at POE that my intention was to work in the US, that will be foolish na. If summer is over, I can wait for another summer.

Thanks for your inputs, I'm not desperate anyways just that he told me about it during one of our conversations and I decided to research more on it. I will also check the link you provided.

Travel experience has nothing to do with being able to obtain a US' visa for whatever reason. What matters are money and intent. Regarding such countries where you can teach English to pass time, aim at Asian countries esp South Eastern and maybe North Asia. Another place is South America but expect stiff competition from Americans. The issue is that those countries prefer westerners aka oyibos over blacks let alone black Africans. Also, young westerners especially British and Americans flock to those countries to teach English and let's be frank, 9 out of 10, most non-English speakers or tutoring agencies will prefer them to learn English from or teach their students over black Africans. Moreover, they and not Nigerians have easy access to those countries because of their passports' strengths.

If you intend to do "periodic visits" to the US, you don't have to try to recover visa/flight expenses via working in those countries. What that bold says is: you don't have the money to perform periodic travels.
Thanks for your detailed response. However, I was going through the US Visa thread and I found out that one of the reasons for rejecting visa seekers aside money and intent, was lack prior travels. Also, before my sister travelled to US, she first went to Dubai and some other African countries and when she eventually applied for American visa, it was granted at first application.

On the last paragraph, I certainly don't have the money to just go to the US for tourism purposes alone.

The price of beef will soon rise in the South East while it falls in the South West and South South.

A win win situation for all of us grin
You guys are obviously shortsighted and deluded.

A win win for you? Sorry!!

Yes, the price of cow meat will skyrocket initially once the ban is implimented since only smuggled ones will be available. However, it is high prices that will help to attract lots of investors to establish ranches in the East to take advantage of the now extremely lucrative industry of cow ranching. And trust me, many Igbos will key into it thus creating lots of jobs and economic activity.

Give it a couple of years and everything will stabilize in the East and the win win will actually be for us while you guys in the sad waste will continue gnashing your teeth and suffering endlessly.

The joke is actually on you grin grin

Epon agbo mi you forget that cow rearing is also a business just like fake tyres and fake products your people are selling in northern states.
Something is fundamentally wrong with people from sad west, I don't know if it's due to the sewage soup they eat.

Most people from middle belt to South have been advocating for boycott of blood cow meat that is causing deaths and destruction. Now that Igbos want to implement it, you started foaming in the mouth. The reason can only be either envy since you can't achieve same on your own or just your normal sadistic way of life.

Now, peradventure the blood cow becomes banned in Igboland. It will create a huge market for alternative sources of protein such as chicken, fish etc. Secondly, it will also create huge job opportunities since many investors would be forced to go into ranching of other types of cattle including the indigenous ones or other hybrids that are resistant to tsestse fly.

It will surely create difficulty initially but eventually, market forces will prevail and alternatives will spring up. Igbos are reverred for their ability to thrive in difficult situations and also for being able to make wealth out of any given opportunity.

Don't cry for us please, instead reserve all your tears for yourself and region because you will be needing every drop of it.

Please which countries can one safely travel to for purposes of gaining travel experience (I realised it is one of the basic prerequisites to increase chances of getting American visa). I ultimately intend to travel to United States for periodic visits but I don't have prior travel experience.

I know about Dubai as good for this, however I don't intend on going for just tourism or for shopping, but a country where one can stay for like 6 months and maybe teach English (in non English speaking countries) or any other job to make the experience worthwhile and also recover some of the visa/flight expenses.

Like I said earlier, I don't intend to live in such country beyond 6 months. Also, how much should one budget for it?

Its a B1/B2 Visa.

But what will you tell the VO is the reason to be in the US for 90 days? How will you attend to your business in Nigeria while away?
How are you going to fund your feeding and accommodation for 90 days?

There is nothing wrong with seeking 90 days, but the probability of approval is extra slim.

Amd in your 3rd paragraph, you even qualified the 90 days with "at least."
Thanks so much for your response.

As per your questions, my brother in US advised me to come over and work within that 3 months during summer.

My wife will be in charge of my business until I come back.

I will be staying with either my brother or sister while there so accommodation and feeding is taking care of, besides I will be going with some money as well. However, reason to give for my 90 days stay is what I haven't figured out.

Please what type of Visa can I seek that will allow me to stay for 3 months or thereabouts in USA before returning back to Nigeria?

I have uncle and cousins over there that have papers and direct siblings that don't.

I only intend to stay genuinely for at least 3 months and wouldn't overstay since my wife and child are in Nigeria and won't be going with me. I also have a business in Nigeria I'm running.

N/B I have no travel history yet.

Help me with your advice please!!

Hmnn. Sh1t is about to real shocked shocked

Time is past when IPOB threats can be taken for granted but not anymore. If I'm to advise Miyetti Allah, I will tell them to find a way to reach a consensus with IPOB and promise there won't be any form of attacks or destructions anywhere in Igboland.

Why I'm saying this is because, once they lose the SE market, it will be a massive loss to them. Igbos are among the biggest consumers of fulani cattle in Nigeria. Almost every occasion here in Igboland requires cow; be it burial, weddings etc.

Secondly, the ripple effect on SS can't be overemphasized. Once cattle is banned in the SE, it will technically be banned in SS too since you will have to pass through Igboland before accessing many SS states.

Typical Iliterate almajiri, they can't read nor understand. The article is talking about bandits in the North West yet he is mentioning SE and NE.

Anyways, the Northerners brought this upon themselves so I have no pity for them. Poverty rates there when bandits and terrorists hadn't taken over was around 90% but now they're extorting them on a daily basis with no significant economic activities and grossly reduced farming activity, they would soon have 99.9% poverty rate with the remaining 0.1% rich being kingpins of bandits and terrorists.

The funny thing is that they're not even all that bothered but instead more concerned about SE cheesy cheesy

Igboid:
There is nothing to gain from all these minorities.
Nothing.
Ndiigbo have to learn that lesson fast and hard.

We have to learn to stay neutral in any issue involving these minorities and use their penury when possible to further our own interests.
We simply have to learn to be more ruthless and strictly Igbo interests protection and advancement driven, irrespective of what group gets annihilated in the process.

In summary. What FULANI is doing in Benue is non of Igbo business. Our business is how to play a good politics to effect boundary adjustment between Ebonyi and Benue that would result in all those Izzi and Ezza communities trapped in Benue returned to Ebonyi state, and thereafter fully fund our already formed *three dragon militia" to make sure Miyetti Allah that have been chased off SE , remain contained in BENUE and not cross over into SE from Benue/Enugu and Benue/Ebonyi borders.

This is how a wise people should behave.

If we play our politics well, we can even negotiate with Miyetti not to interfere in their issue with Benue, if they stay off Northern Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra forever and not encroach as well as help us recover those Izzi and Ezza communities trapped in Benue.

This is what I call pragmatic leadership, politics and negotiation driven by interests and not sentiments.
And you can only get this by playing the neutral card, keeping all your cards close to your chest and all your options open, by not rushing to pick any side in any face-off between two non Igbo groups or zones in Nigeria, after securing your own patch.

Such that the Benue Minorities will be co
ming to you to plead for help to push off Fulanis, while FULANIS will be coming to you to offer you incentives to stay off the squabble.
You then weight both options and choose the one that serve Ndiigbo most, not minding the plight of Benue people.
Your idea is undiluted Machiavellian approach and it may seem heartless but sometimes can achieve better results.

If the part in bold is your basic reason then Egypt should be ideal. Turkey will definitely have a much higher cost of living since it's located close to Europe and is relatively more developed than Egypt.

Egypt has a huge population and is surrounded by relatively less developed and less prosperous countries. Egypt is also likely to lag behind Turkey in terms of amenities.

If I were you, I won't go to any of the two since you just need peace of mind and relaxation. My ideal prospects would be either Cape Verde or Seychelles

Nigerians will forever regret allowing this man to preside over their affairs, including his fellow Northerners. Bulhari will join the likes of Abacha, Idi Amin and Mobutu in eternal hall of shame.

Under Bulhari, every institution in Nigeria became totally bastardized. Today, Nigerian police is seen as a terrorist organization in the global community. It is all these madness that will eventually make the US to support balkanization of the evil contraption.

There lives are not important to those ruling Nigeria. Only Igbo lives matter to them, that's why they would contemplate state of emergency in Anambra that withnessed few political killings but turn a blind eye on Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kaduna and the other Northern states where hundreds are dying everyday with terrorists and bandits carving out territories and obtaining tax from locals.
