JosephXavier:Please where did you get information about VAT generation among states? Can you share the link with me? |
PAWG:That you have great respect for an irresponsible terrorist/terrorism enabler shows how warped your mindset is. |
That characters like this terrorist and Miyetti Allah people continue to go about freely while supporting terrorism and insulting our sensibilities shows Nigeria is not a country. In a normal country this fool would have been in detention since answering questions but here we are. |
Ddokie:The man is a disgrace to his family, archdiocese and whatever he represents. The Catholic and Anglican Archbishops in Owerri were dignified enough to ignore the unwanted visitor but a fool was so shameless he had to come all the way from Enugu. |
blamingthedevil:It seems like Illiteracy is your problem. Anambra falls within IPOB region yet it got 4 times of what Ogun state received despite it feeding from Lagos. This ridiculous attempts of trying to hide behind Lagos is quite shameful. Lagos and Abuja are federal centers and no tribe nor ethnicity can lay claim to it. |
blamingthedevil:Always trying to take glory where there is non. Lagos and Abuja were polls apart and it was for a reason. Only Anambra deserve praise here considering it isn't Nigeria's political or economic capital yet it pulled such weight. Even Ogun that is feeding off Lagos didn't attract up to half of what Anambra got. What makes Anambra position more remarkable is the fact that it isn't oil producing until few days ago. Yet it got more than double of any other state aside federal centers of Abuja and Lagos. Again, Anambra also leads in local inflows/investments! Na wa for this afonja people and empty chest beating over rubbish. SMH. |
WriterNig:Lol, when they failed to get the rented crowd, they had to rush down to Ama awusa and Mbaise road to gather abo.ki people. Merely looking at those boys waving APC flag shows they're hausas ![]() |
giftibo:You guys can continue decieving yourselves. Ndoki clan is even bigger than all Ijaws combined yet you believe you can claim them? I wonder how foolish you guys can be. Former Senate president Adolphus Wabara is even from there, has Ijaw ever produced a Senate president? Ndoki people whose communities now fall under greater Aba will now leave the great Igbo race to join an obscure minority? Deluded souls ![]() |
Well, I don't really understand the need to attach ethnicity to the crime. This is a clear case of murder and the culprits must be apprehended. Okene is a very dangerous place, a Muslim town that is stagnated with dingy houses and wicked people. When I served in Kogi state many years back, we already learnt about how notorious and dangerous Okene while still in camp and corpers often tried avoiding being posted there. Even some of the most deadly Boko Haram and bandits members often come from there. Evil town!! |
ODJ124:So why are you crying more than the bereaved? I'm a businessman in Owerri and I'm home enjoying some quality time with my family. Everything is not money abeg, now we are proving that to you, you will still come tomorrow and start talking rubbish about how Igbos like money more than anything. SMH. |
They would definitely rent crowd and use police/army protection to guard them. Otherwise, it would only be Buhari, Hope, commissioners and a few others ![]() |
This unknown gunmen are gradually spreading across Southern Nigeria ![]() |
blamingthedevil:Stop peddling fake news!! Enugu and Anambra VAT are both bigger than Kano's respectively. Stop trying to decieve gullible people!!! |
Anago55:Lol, ndi conspiracy theory abiakwa. My brother nothing is happening except the stupidity of Imo State government and Nupeng. It's going to get worse in the coming days if nothing is done. Transport cost will tripple and many businesses and companies will face serious challenges. it's going to cause the economy billions of naira. It's really sad. |
BKayy:The Nupeng or whatever they call themselves are mad. The Imo State chapter is fighting Hopeless Uzodinma who refused to bulge so they decided to escalate it by involving the entire Nupeng SE. I had a heated argument with one fuel station management that closed their gate against motorists when I have been on the on line since. The situation is even worse in Owerri but I filled my tank when they gave the 2 weeks ultimatum and only wanted to top it today. |
1. RUGA; South has been vehemently opposing this attempt to resettle Fulani herdsmen on Southern lands but North keeps insisting. Feelers on ground shows that South will never accept it and should North go ahead to use federal government to force it, it would most likely lead to an upheaval against North. 2. VAT; While Wike may have stirred the hornets next in his move to stop federal government from taking VAT from Rivers State, other states like Lagos and more have started making their own moves too. Out of desperation to maintain the status quo, following the outcry of some Northern governors, FIRS hurriedly rushed to the national assembly so they would armtwist the Southern governors. This move have shown very glaringly that North is indeed leeching South to death and coupled with general economic hardship and decline in crude earnings, Southern states are also desperate to increase their earnings. Worse still, the sort of rhetorics being thrown about also shows that Southern governors, particularly Wike won't accept anything on the contrary. 3. 2023; the North knows that Buhari has not only performed badly but also did terrible things that put South at the receiving end. They're afraid that should a Southerner succeed him, he is likely to reverse all those gains Buhari made for them. To avoid risking all that, they want another Northerner to replace Buhari. This is another potentially explosive situation that would not only destabilize Nigeria but could ultimately lead to its end. The North no longer has any leverage or even the capacity to hold South to ransom like was the case in the past and that's the reality they are about to wake up to. |
The party is now over, the hegemonic Northern control of Nigeria that began even before independence is about to be totally demystified. Right from the time of Ahmadu Bello, the North had always called the shots and the end of the civil war and successive military rule took to brazen heights. However, everything is about to nosedive for them as the South has finally realized they're being leached to death. Several factors contributed to the showdown we are about to experience in Nigeria and I will name them accordingly. 1. Insecurity/Instability in the North; the near state of anarchy being experienced in the North has sank the region. Boko Haram, bandits and fulani herdsmen are now having a field day, as killings and destructions becomes a daily affair. This situation was the first to deal a deadly blow on the famed "One North". Many Northerners, particularly the Christians and minorities became antagonistic and wary of their Muslims on one hand and the Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri on the other. Notable people like TY Danjuma, Obadaih Mailafia, Gov Ortom etc. not only distanced themselves from the North but even encouraged their people to fight against the establishment. 2. Economic Decline; unlike in the past when Kano and Kaduna were industrial cities and the military busy funnelling resources up North, the region has so retrogressed that Kano and Kaduna are no longer industrial centers. This has led to a reverse migration as more Northerners tend to be moving South to escape poverty and insecurity. 3. Nnamdi Kanu/IPOB Awareness; believe it or not, Nnamdi Kanu really opened the eyes of many Southerners and it was his passionate uprising against North and unrelentless churning out of facts and figures about how North was destroying Nigeria that later emboldened Sunday Igboho to rise up too. Together, they threatened the establishment and Southerners particularly Igbos and Yorubas began to habour the possibility of Nigeria breaking up. 4. Poverty, Illiteracy, Over Population & Religious Fanatism; these four combo combined to make an already bad situation worse. The North couldn't help itself as everything about it became a sorry mess but instead of having a sober reflection, they continued to intimidate South. Now these these 3 developments I'm going to list below are what will completely rout the North and make them grovel and gnash their teeth if they are not careful..... |
No source? No news?? Anyways whatever, everyone should answer thier father's name. |
So technically, North is now producing oil. Can we now split the country peacefully?? |
These Ohanaeze chaps must be made up of dead brains. What the hell is wrong with them? Why are they foolishly limiting Igboland to SE? They keep insinuating like Igboland is synonymous with SE when it is not!! These guys are drawbacks I swear!! As for this mentaly sick appology of a senator, karma is already dealing ruthlessly with you guys. All the evil wishes you harbour for Igbos has already overtaken and is now consuming you guys. That's why I don't even feel anything when I look at the carnage going on in that godforsaken region, they actually deserve it and more! |
@Slayerforever, also ensure that the group is 100% apolitical. The easiest way to destroy this noble cause is to allow political views to be aired. Anything about PDP, APC, APGA or Ohanaeze, IPOB etc must not be tolerated. It must be clearly stated that such discussions are not allowed. Instead cultures and traditions as well as challenges being faced by any Igbo clan can be freely discussed. Giveaways should also be encouraged particularly to people who are able to distinguish about their written Igbo fluency, knowledge of Igbo culture and traditions, Igbo quizzes etc. Those are the things that will help make it fun and attract lots of youths. |
I'm happy with the progress so far. However, with time as we progress, we will have to draft a list of all the Igbo clans and communities wherever they are found in Nigeria, be it SE, SS and NC. We would have to conduct a research and also as new members join on Facebook, they would mention their village/clan as well as LGA and state. Then communal assistance through freewill donations will be to offer assistance to those clans at the fringes of Igboland, by popular vote, after the admin must have listed the clans that could be assisted. The account that would be receiving the donations would be managed by the Catholic/Anglican Church to aid transperancy. Assistance to communities could be in the form of bore holes, health centre renovations and stocking of basic drugs, donations/grants to needy widows and orphans etc. With time and depending on how donations are coming, we can expand to other areas. Such donations would be done in the presence of the community Eze and the banner clearly written that it is coming from the group because the community is part of the Igbo nation. Any Eze or community that is still suffering from identity crises or doesn't want to belong or be seen as Igbo would not enjoy the benefits. With time, the national Secretariat would be in Enugu with state Exco members that would be registered in all the states that have Igbo clans in it. It would be the duty of these registered exco members to organize any visitation or supervise any project going on in their domain. They must also be Igbo indigenes of those respective states and they must be passionate about Igbo affairs and be ready to defend Igbo interests at all times. Otua ka oha m n'onu. Ka anyi bidogodu ebea. |
Wetin person no go see, this lizard dey do exercise too ![]() Meanwhile, how can this old man be having such little kids as children? It seems like sex and procreation is what these abo.kis live for SMH. |
These terrorists audacity in insulting and threatening everyone is what baffles me. Meanwhile, Masari must be having a very tough and depressing week, all these attacks on his person is too much ![]() |
Lol, that's Buhari home state yet he wants to force it down our throats in the South |
SlyDev:Are you okay at all? Igbos said they want Biafra so they can leave your land yet same you is fighting against it and at the same time crying about non existent resources. You can't eat your cake and still have it, if you fail to support Biafra now, I can assure that a time will come when most of you will be operating from Ogun state and you can't do anything ![]() |
dallasi:Get out of here now, this thread is not for children and ignorant folks. |
A new and all embracing Igbo umbrella association need to be formed now. Ohanaeze has proven to be ineffective and disgracefully timid. Also, IPOB on the hand is not a pan Igbo movement as they are more concerned about uniting with these minorities than to fight for Igbo interests alone. So, the two groups can't achieve this objective. A new pan Igbo movement that would be aggressive, firebrand and all Igbo inclusive. This group must be made up of well learned intellectuals that won't be afraid to challenge any cause that is seen as anti Igbo. This new group would ensure that all Igbos are part of it, including the Opobo-Igbos, Bonny-Igbos, Ekpeye-Igbos, Anioma-Igbos and all others. While every single Igbo clan is crucially important to us, those in present day Rivers State is where the battle ground is because the criminals that tried to seize our territories are still present. However, unfortunately for them, the era of old Rivers State that enabled the Ijaws to intimidate our brothers and force them to relinquish their proud heritage and identity is no longer available. The ijaws no longer call the shots in Rivers State since Bayelsa was created for them. So, in effect, the odds are now balanced. They're now outsiders in Rivers State. However, while they're desperately trying to reintegrate any group that is close to them, while hiding under the banner of South South/Niger Delta, our own leaders seem to so disinterested and aloof. It is this attitude that is now giving the Ijaws the effrontery in trying to claim traditional Igbo groups that have nothing in common with them. We Igbos act too gentlemanly and aloof, but such worldview is dangerous and self defeating in a jungle like Nigeria. Our people were intimidated and coerced into claiming ethnic nationality. After considering what they faced immediately after 1970, I don't really blame them. Also, we Igbos were too wounded and too weak at the point in time, following the civil war that we couldn't do anything to help them. This sort of crises often befall any nation or group that emerges from any major conflict, holding the short end of the stick. Same happened to Germany after WW11 to the extent that they didn't only lose all their colonies but even had Germany itself split into two. The era of the iron curtain with East and West Germany as different nations!! I'm not against IPOB, they've trying in their own way, with all their imperfections. But who says we can't have 3 groups existing side by side with their respective objectives? IPOB can exist. Ohanaeze can exist too. However, we desperately need a firebrand pan Igbo group that is aggressive in pursuing Igbo interests without fear nor favour. They should have the sagacity and intellectual wherewithal to challenge any federal government or state government policy or move that is percieved to be anti-Igbo. They should be able to challenge such moves in courts, debates and protests while brandishing irrefutable facts. Igbos wake should wake up now!!! |
All historical evidences since recorded history proves that Igboland stretches all the way from present Benue to Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers State. However, revisitionists immediately after the civil war used scotch earth policies to start redrawing our boundaries in the most bizarre and brazen way. The major culprits here were the Fulani who in 1970 and afterwards felt the only way they could punish Igbos and stop our progress was to align with Ijaws in taken over our territories. They provided state backing for Ijaws and allowed them to commit attrocities unhindered. Most of these attrocities were committed under the old Rivers State when Ijaws were in control. Some of the attrocities they committed include the following: 1. Trying to seize Obigbo and in the process changed its name to Oyigbo. 2. Declared Igbo properties in P.H as abandoned properties and followed it up by changing names of roads with a prefix of R. 3. Tried to annex traditional Igbo towns like Opobo and Bonny. 4. They also rode on the anti Igbo sentiments championed by Fulanis to intimidate all Igbo/Igboid groups/areas in old Rivers State to either denounce their Igbo heritage and claim ethnic nationality or face dire consequences. Those that accepted to do so were empowered while those that refused were severely punished or coerced into accepting it. Remember that this was happening at the end of the war when most people were hungry and in survival mode. Again, there was the oil boom era during that time that made it easy for them to use money in achieving this evil moves. 5. There was two agenda on the table by the Fulanis and it was thus: ensure that all Igbo oil bearing communities were ceded to Rivers and for Igboland to declared landlocked. This move was targeted at making Igbos/Igboland unviable. This was the time when Egbema from Imo State was divided into two and the parts where oil has been discovered in commercial quantities were ceded to Rivers and others left in Imo State. It was also this period that Obigbo was carved of old Imo State and given to Rivers State. After committing all these attrocities, and hoping that future generations of Igbos will not find out, they then banned the teaching of history in our schools so that the next generation of Igbos won't find out. Unfortunately for them, they never envisaged that something called the internet will later emerge to expose all the evil they did. What Igbos must do now..... |
bobowaja:You're so irritatingly dense!! Jaja was an Igbo man! The language spoken in Opobo till date is Igbo!! The culture, people and tradition in Opobo is also contigous with that of other Igbo clans!!! Nothing in Opobo aligns with ijaw both historically and present!! So what the hell are you arguing?? What's the basis of your senseless rants?? Anu ohia!!! |
Ariani:Never knew that Chibudom Nwuche is Ekpeye-Igbo. Seriously, how can one bear a name like that and someone will still have the effrontery to question whether he is Igbo or not?? Can one bear a name like Olusegun Obasanjo without everyone knowing he is Yoruba or can one bear Nsikak Akpan without it showing he is Ibibio? Why all these attempts at breaking Igbos apart? Is it because we lost a civil war or what?? |
