I support Wike on this, Umahi needs psychiatrist evaluation for being such a ridiculous sycophant and for talking without reasoning well.

If he thinks Igbos will defend him then he will be shocked when we will first throw eggs and tomatoes at him for being a source of unnecessary embarrassment to us.

Meanwhile, why is that former cheif of army staff and potential crimes against humanity criminal doing all over the East? Few days ago he was in Anambra now he is in Ebonyi, it seems he is trying to famz his way to our politicians. However, he should know that when it comes to the East, it is the masses that weild the power.

You sleep and wake up hating on other Igbo states but whenever any Igbo state (including Anambra) is attacked by either North or West, the same Igbos you hate will defend Anambra but you imposter will go to sleep or just wait to see how you will conveniently side with them to attack Imo, Enugu, Abia or Ebonyi.

Go to threads about these Igbo states and your different monikers will be everywhere spilling bile against them.

You're not smart enough to pull off your impersonation, because anyone can easily see through it.

Stop decieving yourself and return to the North where you come from. Anambra people are not known to be foolish. Do you see real Anambra people like attacking other Igbo states? No! Nwa bingo from almajiri states claiming to be from Anambra. Look at how he is trying to reduce this to a contest between Igbo states when it's a national problem between North and South.

Only an ignorant fool who doesn't know you're an imposter from parasitic North.

I asked for the source because I have been searching for data on VAT generation among states. How does that indicate I'm not happy for Anambra?

Anambra is probably the most Industrialized state in both SE and SS, but you will always limit it to SE just to sow seed of discord among brothers and not promote SE.

Your hate for anything Igbo is known by all, you can't love Anambra and hate Igbos because only an imposter will do that. You with your 100 monikers and that guy that calls himself juliusmalema are hateful imposters using Anambra to attack Igbo interests.

But east has been doing back to back seat at home, even during the ESN problem no sector of Nigerians economy was affected, no single price of any goods went up not even innoson motors…

Analyse the 2 regions and tell me which of them is really contributing?

Reason despite me being Igbo I am always weary of supporting anything igbos support I discovered that alot of igbos just know how to be hardworking without much sense, igbos are scattered all over Nigeria, then we have a VAT system that collects tax from all the states in Nigeria and distribute it to all the states, and u I repeat u people are against it?

A tax system that enables somebody from ebonyi to benefit from his tax even if he is based in Lagos or Kano or Port harcourt?

SE got least cause both population and derivation wise it’s the least
You don't even get the point at all. The argument is about parasitism, states VAT earnings against VAT generation and SE is being short changed!

VAT is not necessarily about population but about purchasing power and economic activities. Northern states claim to have huge populations but brings next to nothing to the table. Anambra and Enugu both generate in excess of 20 billions which is in the top tier, while the other SE states generate close to 20 billion including the least Ebonyi. Non is among the least generating states yet you will find them among the least VAT earning states!

Once VAT becomes a state affair, just watch and see how all SE states will jump in the rankings due to competition among them.

This is the beginning of the end of the feeding bottle syndrome. Again, this is the time to know how smart or dull the northern and South East governors are. They must think out of the box to be able to run their states. For instance, el-Rufai is doing a great job with IGR improvement in Kaduna. Others have to take a cue from him.

After VAT, some other governor should sue for a total resource control and another should go for state police. We need to empty the so-called exclusive list. People who are not intelligent and creative shouldn't have any business with politics. The revolution has already begun.
Don't worry about SE, as you can see from the data, we actually receive less than what we generate as VAT. SE got the least from VAT allocations when we don't generate the least.

You won't find any SE state among the least generating states yet you will find them among the least earning states. Even Ebonyi generates more VAT than lots of other states.

SE will benefit massively once states are allowed to keep their VAT earnings.

I was flabbergasted and asked them what was wrong with that since it will bring development and they said their women no longer have lands to farm.

Now this is a university project that will bring development o, and Lord Chosen Charismatic Church paid the asking price for those lands yet the community were complaining. Now compare that to giving scarce lands to terrorists that bring nothing except deaths and destruction.

Forget it, those Oguta people will rather die than see their lands given to terrorists.

[s]2024 Imo Guber: Owerri Zone Group Disowns Ihedioha

The Owerri Zonal Development Union has advised all gubernatorial aspirants from the Mbaise clan in Imo State to drop their ambitions and support aspirants from other parts of Owerri zone who are yet to produce a Governor.

In a press release signed by the Publicity Secretary of the group Chief Stanley Onyechere, the group stated in clear terms that although the people of Owerri zone are determined to ensure the emergence of an Owerri zone candidate as the next governor of Imo State, it is very important that such governor should emerge from other parts of the zone who are yet to taste the position. According to Chief Onyechere, the decision was taken at the General Meeting of the group held in Owerri the Imo state capital on Wednesday 8th September 2021.

"We resolved that the next governor of Imo State should come from Owerri Zone, in the interest of equity and justice. However, Mbaise should be honourable enough to stay out of the contest as the immediate past governor Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha has taken the turn of Mbaise".

The group insisted that other parts of the zone such as Mbaitoli, Owerri West, Owerri North, Owerri Municipal and Ngor Okpala should be supported in the next election. "If we will support any aspirant from Mbaise, it could be from Ahiazu or Ezinihite, but definitely not from Aboh where Ihedioha comes from". They noted that there are hundreds of qualified aspirants who can be Governor from Owerri Zone and wondered why Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha should even think of contesting again after carelessly losing the mandate at the Supreme Court.

The highpoint of the general meeting was the constitution of a Contact and Mobilization Committee to commence consultation with stakeholders from other Zones in Imo State and leadership of various political parties towards the realization of the Owerri zone agenda. The Owerri Zonal Development Union also instituted a scholarship scheme which will cater for the university education of indigent orphans from the zone.[/s]

Igbo's in Nigeria, started having problems as soon as they started calling themselves Biafra. That name have no Igbo meaning.
What is the meaning of Biafra in Igbo language.
Why adopt a name that has continued to bring an entire ethnic Nation Sorrow, Tears, and Pains.
Igbo Nation haven't known Peace, since they adopted Biafra as an identity. From which evil coven, did Ojukwu bring this name, that have killed over 4M Igbos from inception?
Once you associate Igbos with Biafra trouble starts.
Why do we love a name that brings us, Sorrow, Tears and Pains, Please let us consult the gods (Afa) and find out the evil associated with that name before going further.
Bia- Come
Fra - Trapped
Even the man who baptised us with name, later dropped it, and became a Nigerian, and died, a Nigerian.
Chinua Achebe capped it all, by saying there was a Country.
Doesn't all these resonate something?
Just mention Biafra, everywhere in Igboland will be in disarray, and backwards will set, blood will start flowing, and there will be no more peace.

Everyone knows the region that has more people sending money from diaspora...

Now when this money is sent, for withdrawals to happen there has to be bank charges, stamp duties, etc...this goes to the government.

Some of this money are used to buy shares in banks and companies like Dangote sugar, cement, MTN, etc...the pay taxes on dividends to FG which are shared to you in Kano, etc...

Also, when they build or buy properties, it goes to the local economy, etc, etc....

So how come you don't know these and you claim they contribute nothing to the economy?

shocked shocked shocked
Don't mind these ignoramuses ranting so unintelligently. Remmitances is the only reason why naira is not exchanging at 1000/$. Without remmitances, Nigeria would have been a far poorer country.

Remmitances is even more important than oil going forward since it is sustainable while oil income is not.

I was just thinking about a regional system and how each state today would fair

Let's forget about the oil from the south south that undoubtedly fuels this nation

From the expose of Gov Wike Rivers brought ₦15billion and got ₦4billion in june

If it decides to share that as a region it can comfortably give ₦2.5billion to Cross River, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and still be ok

Mind you this ₦2billion is the same one the king of the north kano with its huge population could manage let alone less populated states

In the West Lagos can comfortably give times 2 of that amount to Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and i have not added Ogun that is reliable on its own and can help

In the East I won't argue with you whether they can survive on their own, i would simply say just give them their region and watch part2 of how a grounded levelled region in the 70's can be thriving today

In the North unfortunately the king of the North with all its quota system prefential treatment could muscle up ₦2billion a month

Meaning it is going to be sharing ₦90 million a month to 18 states and it still won't be enough to go round
The North no doubt have been a perennial parasite on South since the 1800's. However, you're biased in your analysis above. They don't have to rely on Kano alone since Abuja is also in their domain and FCT generates more than Rivers State. So, if Lagos as a former capital will be allocated to SW, why won't Abuja be allocated to North?

Having said that, I believe that all states in Nigeria must collect VAT in their respective states and use it for themselves. However, certain sectors like seaports and interstate transportation must be exclusive to ensure fairness. You can't build seaports in two states and still allow them to pocket excise duties/tax. If that should be the case, then Abia, Imo, Anambra, Bayelsa, Edo, Ondo and any state with access to the ocean should be allowed to build and manage their ports. Also, states should be allowed to establish international airports if they want and have the capacity to do so if tax from airports like MMAI will go to Lagos State. Also, all oil companies both major and minor must have their head office in the oil producing states.
