Lovely conversations going on... and trust we are enjoying the long weekend.. Twist/turn/Ignore facts won't change the truth....... There is something wrong somewhere.. and you can't keep giving excuses or ignoring it.. it doesn't change the truth Even if you mention slavery as an excuse for why the black communities haven't prospered, who sold their own people ? We did.. our ancestors sold their own people for mirrors, tobacco, jewelries, commission from both buyers and sellers, etc What excuse do you give for a country blessed with natural resources not excelling when countries without a single natural resource have excelled tremendously (Switzerland and Japan as examples) What excuse do you give for House of Reps member empowering his people with shoe shining kits in the north? What excuse do you give for an oil rich country of over 200m people that has grown poverty rate from generation to generation and from government to government across different political parties? What excuse do you have for a country that the Senate approved N82.5bn to construct 427 boreholes? I can go on and on.. I saw Vision 20:20 The real example of having a vision and following it up with a strategy is Dubai, UAE for example... it was just bare sand.. desert... but they had leadership that cared and had ambition to prosper its' people.. selfless leadership.. to serve and not to just be served There are documentaries on how they achieved it... you will shed some tears.. something must drop down your cheeks Excuses excuses and more excuses I don't care about LL or whoever.. |

add the owed pension.. a lot of their pensioners died waiting for their hard earned money... Lexusgs430: The main reason Nigeria cannot have a main carrier, is due to the historical debt, hanging on Nigeria Airways neck + all the unpaid hotel accommodation debts + landing charges debt, logistical debt, broken trust issues etc etc ........

that's why i always ask people to watch UK Border Force shows.. You see it live.. with faces of the Nigerians (in our own context) shown... You also see some of the raids done by Immigration live Where they hide, sleep, conditions they live in, how employers are arrested and charged not just for employing illegals but for lying to the police, etc.. Then one can make a judgement for themselves if it is worth it or not Zahra29: 💯 💯 💯
And even when people are minded to tell the full story, it doesn't mean that their way will work for someone else. Once it's a discretionary application (i.e. outside of the immigration rules) then there are no assurances. It depends on the case worker, it depends on the exceptional circumstances of the case and so on. |

pls let him/her explain oooo.. Maybe it is another Home Office.. get job and be given Leave to remain just like that?? On a real, let's be careful sha.. some people don't just intentionally overstay/become illegal It is all the "i heard someone did this or did that" stories they hear and believe it will work for them.. and then.. eventually it hits them in the face.... Also, people don't tell the full story.. they tell the parts that suits the narrative Reminds me of the "stay lowkey and away from authorities for like 7-10years" discussion some days ago.. it is easy for people to type and say people should do it from the comfort of their homes.. The overstayers are the ones feeling the heat.. they can't legally work/rent/buy or do anything... because every data is tracked and evaluated.. Even those with visas and work are struggling to survive in this cost of living crisis.. Imagine what overstayers who earn way below the minimum wage will face (Thats for those who are lucky to find an employer to risk giving them a job) Make we dey careful dupyshoo: I am not sure this is correct. One can be given leave outside the rule but it is not as trivial as you stated. There is a guidance for that.
I strongly doubt if someone will just be given leave to remain because the person gave birth during her study. If the child is British, then that explains it, if not then there will be other compelling issues. It is also not correct that you just need to get a job and then you will be given leave to remain. What's the need for COS then? |

this bullying thing.... always been there.. i'm happy that this somehow leaked/released for people to see.. and happy he got arrested
Bullying is a No No..... irrespective of race.
Those boys are lucky... if they tried it in South London, the black boys will run them over..
I don't even know what the best way to handle this is..
teach MMA? self-defense?
Bullying also makes kids join gangs for protection (especially kids that can't open up to their parents Or those who open up but their parents don't listen/have their time)
The gangs become family....
It is a tough one |

been trying to avoid replying directly but it is hard.. . m*lested? mocked? picked on? This is a lie from the pit of hell.... If there is anyone that scares people away, it is people like you that are jealous and showing signs of inferiority complex Like i stated, i asked Lexus to modify the Rent is Dead money slogan so people don't mis-read it.. Do i carry any beef in my heart because of it? Noooo Have i gotten way more benefits from Lexus before and after that? Yes.. even this week Fix your jealousy, inferiority complex and hatred.. that's ur battle to fight.. not Lexus or anyone here... Jealousy won't let you see what's working great in your life, because it keeps you focused on other people's lives You have a problem and you just prefer to run from it and face others ehizario2012: Oh oh good, since you mentioned this, I'll now make my comment.
Looking at my previous posts, I'm always against people "hiding" even on a faceless forum whenever they come to seek for advice.. you hear things like my friend, my brother, my colleague etc. Most people don't come straight for fear of being mol*sted, mocked and picked on by the likes of @Lexusgs430 in the guise of providing advice. So if anybody is chasing people away from seeking advice here, it's not me but the likes of @Lexusgs430. Some people leave this forum more depressed whenever they come to seek for advice.
So, if I was to envy anybody, @Lexusgs430 is not in that league. I've seen people get top end jobs, I've seen someone buy a house after just 2 years in UK, I've seen guys get distinction, people pass practical driving tests at their first try and so many other motivating feats. The only thing @Lexusgs430 has is early mover's advantage and enjoying student loans, public funds. That's nothing to be proud of. By the time the smarter guys spend the number of years @Lexusgs430 has spent here, they would have achieved way way more than he could ever dream of. They'll be in the top echelon.
I'm tired of this discussion but I'm never tired of saying things as they should be. Greetings. |

what i learnt here from Lexus, Ticha, etc helped me save thousands of £ in solicitor fees, etc and i also advised 3 people with the same use case as mine who weren't on NL... People don't understand the goldmine we have in the info we get here.. and it has a ripple effect to others not on NL wonlasewonimi: Tbh, we are learning from each other. You see once you don't all your papers, everything immigration ceases to be your worries. I have people asking me questions regarding immigration tiers and I'm clueless cos we didn't use tiers then. I come here to read about everything. I have 5 TVs all powered by iptv, how do you think I got to know about it. Someone just mentioned visabot the other day, I felt like a guru when I told someone to go use it. So, we are all helping and leaning from one another. Another people fail to know is that most of the AIs popping up theses days, the LLMs are trained by information from places like NL. You can Google all you like but individual experiences can't be matched. |

of course, he knows... we know.. Lexus wasn't even the only one cautioning him.. but agenda must agend.. Jealousy is an ugly trait... . It steals one's joy and leaves a bitter taste.. missjekyll: Absolutely not. I trust justwise will be along shortly to remove all the nasty comments.
You can call out people ,thats fine. Name calling is not okay .
I did read through the thread in question (rather traumatic read, gentleman splashed his toddlers face all over the internet). It appears Lexus's grouse was that this gentleman had been disruptive in the Living in the UK thread while not yet ,in fact, living in the UK.
We will keep this thread open because as more and more nigerians migrate here, they ll turn to us for advice. We will never become a force to be reckoned with in the UK if we do not stand together and share experiences. |

A lot of people projecting their frustration(s) on someone else... Find a way to release the tension and vent.... Take a trip.... go to the beach.. climb mountains.. do something.. don't get eaten up There is a way to communicate.. There is also a way to read/listen I have also asked Lexus to modify the Rent is Dead money slogan so people don't take it the wrong way, but yet again, my communication style was different... What i have read here since yesterday shows some people have a lot of hate and some level of envy in them.. Someone who has actually used abusive words here on someone else is accusing Lexus who has never attacked or cursed at any one ?? Highest level of hypocrisy Lexus has done what many of you/us haven't and probably won't ever do... Same Lexus i have heard from another guy who I met at a house party saying good things about him.. and he has never met Lexus physically Unless it is another Lexus Lexus owes us nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! yet gives everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for yearssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @Lexus ride on!!! Love how you don't take things to heart People need to smile more.... laugh more... one day we wont be able to... because we will be dust.. Smile/Laugh while you can.... your problems will feel lighter.. |

One of the brightest part of this messy situation Please get well soon.. Dappy25: I understand that Lexusgs430 finds humour in everything and some people might not like that understandable. But there is no evidence to accuse him this way. I’ve been following this thread since 2022 and he has been providing lots of advice and information, things more experienced UK people won’t even bother with.
His advice with getting life insurance is one I took and I’m happy I did because I’m almost in a bleak medical situation now. |

that's an issue.. just increasing without any regulations Lexusgs430: Withdrew from the purchase...... 😁

so what did your friend do? not even one car park space is somehow Lexusgs430: Would others have a parking pass, with your registration embossed.........😁
You don't own the land, Infront of your house........ All you can do with that space is, walk on it + temporarily drop your Tesco shopping bags......
Or they charge you for illegal trespass...........😁😂 |

lol this parking thing what if I don't have 3 cars, can others parking pay me? My current apartment is 120 quid a space per month Lexusgs430: Since we're learning, I would give you a recent example........
I was chatted up by one of us here ........ He/She was about to buy a newish build....... The property in question had a parking space for about 3 cars ........
Now the clincher......... The property owner would not own those parking spaces, those spaces are owned by management company, you would have to pay, to park your cars, in front of your own house (not off street parking)..........😁😜 |
Travel › Re: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by profemebee(m): 11:32am On Mar 13, 2024 |
thanks for this example in this example, why will management company's own quote be more expensive tho? deept: Depends on what needs doing. Unless there is a sinkhole or something major damage I don't think it will get to that.
When I say high, let me illustrate, a job that will cost let's say 5k if you go to get a quote from a contractor, the management company could do it for 10k and give you all your share of the bill and there is little you can do about it unless things have changed |

Travel › Re: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by profemebee(m): 10:54am On Mar 13, 2024 |
pls what is tp1? something major like road fix right? so it won't be like a yearly thing deept: Annual service charge should cover recurrent expenses eg street light, common areas, etc. then if something major happens, the cost will be shared amongst all of you |
Travel › Re: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by profemebee(m): 10:52am On Mar 13, 2024 |
is this going to be covered in the management service fees that's paid annually? Or another cost factor? Pls what is tp1? Yes, it is a new build deept: This....
Plus they would pass your case on to debt collectors...
...plus, you can't sell unless you get a management pack(I think that's what it's called) |
Travel › Re: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by profemebee(m): 10:49am On Mar 13, 2024 |
how much can road maintenance be though? how often? Isn't this already tied to the annual management service charge? Lexusgs430: If the unadopted road is managed by a management body........ They might have the financial leverage, to offer you a pocket friendly loan, if you refuse to pay .......
Litigation would be engaged and a charge would eventually be charged to your property (you would not win).........😂😁
Your solicitor CAN only highlight and inform prior..... If you decide to exchange....... You already exchanged your rights.....😂😁 |
Travel › Re: Living In The UK: Property,Mortgage And Related by profemebee(m): 10:40am On Mar 13, 2024 |
is this going to be covered in the management service fees that's paid annually? Or another cost factor? Pls what is tp1? Yes, it is a new build deept: For new build estates, the builder usually set up a management company to look after the estate. Councils usually do not adopt some of the roads in new builds because they do not want to take on the liability plus sometimes the roads are knot built to standard, the builder cutting costs so the cost of maintenance will be passed on to the residents via a management company set up by the builder. If you look in your tp1, it should all be there. The Management company in this case will be responsible. They will fix the road and send you your share of the bill. |

me sef cant be forced to pay/contribute then lol What should the solicitor do in this case? Lexusgs430: People that reside on unadopted roads, would be responsible for all the road........ If your neighbour is happy with a battered/flooded/potholed road...... You cannot force them to pay/contribute....... 😁😜
That's why your conveyancing solicitor, is worth their £......
What's in it for the government, to adopt it....... (unless a top politician buys on that road)..... 🤣 |
