Despair:
Thank you so much Sir for your input. My apologies for not indicating my gender...I'm a lady.

I was already moving on before the lies started flying around. I am hurt because she's someone I love dearly. I thought I'd be able to break that chain.

Her mother leads same life too. Sorry to say this here, she goes after people's husbands.
She was angry with her for pimping her friend to the married man instead of herself.

Just like you and some others have said, I'll try to cut them off and move on. However, I don't think that will be totally possible as her child is soooo fond of me. The little girl will always be in my life. I hope that I can take her away when I have the means as I don't want her to be influenced by their lifestyles.
There's no amount of good you do, they will still talk bad about you. Seems it's more complicated than I taught. Obviously, the girl took over her mother's foot print. This is just a product of bad parenting and lack of self discipline. The cycle might even continue if the little daughter stays among their caucus (some sort of generational curse as some people might say).

If you think you have the resources to train the child go ahead. But the family (husband and the girl must also share the responsibilities with you). It's just that there might be more family drama in the future if you choose this path.

The only person I feel sorry for her is the little daughter. You know your family better than us. Just make sure your relationship with them is from distance and not within your space.

@op careless about what people will say. The lady don't worth all this risk you put upon yourself. Just make sure you avoid anything with her and her mother. She has made her choice and she will bear the repercussions of her life.
FamilyRe: Family Problems by Professorcplus(m):
Humm. Sir, you can't help someone that's already determined to get herself destroyed. She has always been promiscuous right from teen and has made it her only ticket to fullfil her desires. To her, you are just an obstacle to her success and if you didn't leave her matter, she might lay false accusations against you which might land you to prison or early grave.

Even her mother who suppose to tell her bitter truth is endorsing her lifestyle because of what want to eat (iya oko bounvita). Mothers like this are always bias in judgement so far they get that goodie and money .

Obviously, she (girl) left your house because she isn't ready to stop her promiscuous lifestyle and her mother just want to protect her selfish interest. My advice for you is to cut tie with her and her mother. There are numerous men's house she can stay. If she want to perish she should perish in her mother's and man's place not yours. And make sure you gather enough evident in case something went south.

Christianity EtcRe: Spiritual Significance Of Semen by Professorcplus(m):
Did you know? In all species semen carries sperm into the reproductive tract of the female to facilitate fertilizations.

In some species the fertilization may take place externally. In external fertilization, the sperm fertilize the ova directly, outside of the female's sexual organs. Several fish achieve fertilization this way.

The internal fertilization is more common among mammals like humans. In this the fertilization occurs inside the female's sexual organs. The male needs to ejaculate and deposit the semen within the female reproductive tract through copulation. The sperms swim into the tract towards the waiting ova and fertilize it.

The World Health Organization (WHO) gives out criteria for semen analysis to detect abnormalities in the semen of the male partner contributing to infertility.

Normal semen and sperm qualities according to the World Health Organization are:

there should be at least 20 million sperms per ml for fertility
the total volume of semen should be at least 2ml
per ejaculate at least 40 million sperms should be present
at least 30 per cent of the sperms should be mature and developed
at least 75 per cent of the spermatozoa should be alive or viable
at least 25 per cent of the sperms should be swimming with rapid forward movement
at least 50 per cent of the sperms should be swimming even if it is sluggish

Hope you find this enlighten!

Janeberryy:
I have passed the era of sleepless nights when it finally dawned on me or when I finally succumbed to years of internal battles that have been raging on silently within me.

To help cease this battle, I gave myself to more study to convince myself, more prayers, more sacrifices, more services, I didn't want God to lose. I couldn't bear him to lose, my life, love, family, community and everything I cherish that money cannot buy, depends on it. I was fighting for my life.

I read, I learnt, I saw I became blind, ignorance is bliss. Now I know and I went through my heart break pretty bad. God to me wasn't the angry hell fire one, he wasnt the destroyer of the world, i could explain what happened to Noah! That wasn't God, I could explain what happened to sodom and gommoarrh, that wasn't God! He saves and doesn't destroy, Never has Never will.

So I wasn't afraid to think, because I was never afraid of him, because I know him and know his heart. He gave me structure, waking up to pray gave me sanity, gaurding my heart and mouth gave me wisdom, kindness opened doors to me, keeping my body gave me honor, walking around with my earpiece gave me security.

Now I have Nothing! The battle is over, I miss the sanity, I miss the community, I miss the sacrifices, I miss the labour, I miss the services, I miss the Joy, I miss the family, I miss God. Ignorance is the only bliss I pray for.

Lol. I get your view. I'm not disputing the words at bolded. My point is people only remember God when in unpleasant situation.

Hmm imagine a world where they are no challenges, problems, just as perfect as it could, people would forget God.

We only remember God when in troubles. Even if heaven is exactly the way it's painted, people will forget God when they make heaven.

I have heard and listen to many radio programs from well experienced people about restructuring/ development /better leadership of this country with different solution and ideas to execute these plans. No doubt there are many problem looming around Nigeria. Modestgal, in your view what solution do you suggest to start with?
PoliticsRe: How African Culture Promotes Poverty And Corruption by Professorcplus(m):
Many will see this as an attack which is not so. So many things have gone wrong in this side of the world. So many mediocracy in the society. We desire the good life and effective governance system of western countries, good social amenities, law of equal right, a good working system in every sector of the country. But can we have all of these. Maybe not yet. Not when we have so much PROVERTY. Proverty affects generally the physchological behaviour of human. Proverty promotes more superstition, leads to CORRUPTION. A mind driven by proverty promotes more wishful thinkers than free thinkers. A man who is uncertain about his reality and next meal will clamore to hopes that bring assurance. Hope has come to us in form RELIGION. No wonder religion trives on ignorant and weakness of people. To couple it up, only a few who substantially have more than enough wealth are adore in every institute. More pressure is upon those with only few resources to acquire more which will never be enough. This cycles continue with different ideology coined from it. It's just a matter of time before corruption sets in. Corruption slows nation's development. Little or no development increases proverty. Proverty promotes different religion. Different religion creates different ideology. With wrong ideology corruption sets in and the cycle continues...

The cycle has to be broken but how?

FamilyRe: Hidden Life Rules That I Learned Too Late In Life by Professorcplus(m):
Here are mine when it comes to friends.

1. Know when to smile to prevent trouble and when to keep silent to avoid trouble.

2. Never take a bullet for anyone that's not ready to do same for you.

3. Some friends are only interested in what they can get and benefit from you avoid them.

4. If you lick a.s s of people because of their favour and likeness, you will continue to be a a.s s licker for long.

5. Always put your head high and never take bullshit from people especially in a formal environment. It shows your self-confidence and respect.

6. Respect is reciprocal. Show it.

7. Your only true happiness comes from you not outsiders.

8. If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go with friends. But know when to keep limit to friend so you don't become a follower.

Science/TechnologyRe: Correction: “today Is The Longest Day Of The Year...” by Professorcplus(m): 10:00pm On Jun 21, 2020
CanadaOrBust:
This thread is to correct misinformation and confusion contained in the thread “Today Is The Longest Day Of The Year...”
https://www.nairaland.com/5939166/today-longest-day-year-there

** There is no shortest or longest day in Nigeria because Nigeria is close to the equator. Close to the equator the days (daylight in a day) are about same length all year round.

** June solstice (called Summer Solstice in Nothern Hemisphere, and Winter solstice in Southern Hemisphere) is the longest day of the year ONLY IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE; it is the shortest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere.

**December Solstice (called Winter Solstice in Nothern Hemisphere, and Summer Solstice in Southern Hemisphere) is the longest day of the year in the Southern hemisphere and the shortest day of the year in the Nothern hemisphere.

**On June Soltice there is 24hr daylight (“midnight sun”) at the North Pole (Arctic Circle), while South Pole (Antarctica) experiences 24hr darkness. Reverse is the case on December solstice.

Lalasticlala, Seun and the mods, I respectfully suggest you remove that other thread. Otherwise it continues to misinform and confuse lots of people, and gives the false impression that Nairaland is a willful purveyor of misinformation and fake news.
Thanks.
No need to take things personal. The op in the formal thread have corrected himself in his subsequent post. To avoid misunderstanding, simply copy the original post and strike out and readdress any misinformation. That will be more presentable.

To be Honest with you sir , with the way you are going, you may be back here with tears and stories that touch the heart in no distant time..

If you are Genuinely seeking a Spouse , my Advice to you is to ask GOD ALMIGHTY in prayers to show you your wife!

Not all these fairytales!
You are right bro. Not all these fairly tales angry .This is the major problem with Christianity marriage. We spiritualize relationship. Relationship is more of canal than spiritual. Why don't we seek God when making new friends? Why must it be in relationship. Even in the holy book, there's no where God told Someone this is your wife, right from Adam, to Jacob, to Joseph, to Isaac, to David, to Solomon. They all went to search for what they want in a woman. Even the greatest plan God have for mankind which was Jesus Christ, God never told Joseph this is your wife Mary; marry her. So why must we ask God to show you want you want? Is it God that want to marry her?

I don't blame you, I blame most of these pastors that see visions for other people. Imagine a pastor telling a grown up guy to go to street x, he should branch after the third turning. He will see a house painted brown. He should find the door made of iron. He should knock and enter. The lady wearing pink shirt with white skirt is his wife. I just laugh.

Even after seeing some red signs, they still stick with the relationship. Afterall, it's God that showed me and my pastor approved it. No wonder Christian marriages have the highest number of divorce.

Op.. Go for the lady you want. I hope you find your suitor
