Travel to Imo state and find out. You'd marvel.
No need for long talks.
I was at Owerri in December 2023 and June and July last year, I was confused. I could not recognize Owerri again. The development is so massive but I believe it must have started from Rochas because what I saw must have taken many years to build.

In those days Owerri was small and quiet. They called Owerri Civil Service town, we normally go to Aba and Portharcourt and traveling to Lagos through ONITSHA we see those crowded big houses. Now, what I saw at Owerri with Hotels, big houses, network of roads, I can say in all the Eastern States, Owerri is number one, I am not talking in commercial activities basis because of Aba and ONITSHA are there but in aesthetic design.

Good intentions are enough. With time, things will fall into places.
Things will surely fall into places. I believe God is with Tinubu. Tinubu's case made me to know Divine forces are not sleeping and that human beings are naturally wicked and ungrateful and very unreliable.

Tinubu helped a lot of people by God's divine Appointment with those people. When those people got to Abuja instead of standing with Tinubu, they betrayed him and joined Tinubu's enemies so as to make more wealth and fame. They never thought Tinubu will become President.

Painfully to me, one of them was disgraced out of power as governor and he left government house broke as he has used all he has accumulated to seek second term but Federal Government power humiliated him out of power. He left power broke without any dignity and friends. That was during Goodluck Jonathan's government.

Later, he became an unofficial Personal Assistant to Tinubu for survival up to Chatham House, UK. Immediately Power came to APC . Tinubu empowered him and repositioned him for recovery. He recovered . He forgot his benefactor and joined the Power Bloc at the centre against Tinubu. All of them have become irrelevant to me. This man was a teacher in higher institution in an African country whose physical infrastructure is not even qualified to be a Secondary school in Nigeria but was financed and supported to power from nowhere by Tinubu the first time he became a Governor.

They don't have anything good to say. God has grounded them. Tinubu should never give any of them space around him.

Laughing. Just watch how USA influence and dominance over the rest of the world will wane with time and that's what majority of the governments all over the world wanted all along. It has always been a trade by barter, every country that receives aid, crumbs or handouts from USA equally loses part of her sovereignty, independence, integrity to US.
What happens to those countries that took loans through overblown and overbloated projects executed mainly by Chinese companies? Didn't they lose part of their sovereignty and independence to China?

Everyone is screaming $15k is too much. Keep in mind that the guy most likely earns more than $30k per month, because the court cannot ask you to pay more than half of your income as child support. It was his decision to take his own life rather than give half of his income to his children, but that decision was certainly not due to financial inability because he was well able to afford that.

Also it doesn't matter if you are not married. You will still pay child support.
I Know you are a lady. All your concern is that $15,000 to be collected by a lady effortlessly. Now that he has died the lady should go and be collecting the money from the grave.

Several years ago in Nigeria when a serving President son divorced his wife. The wife went to Court to request for the custody of the two children and long list of requirements which are more than $15K monthly commitments. She requested for ownership of a house in GRA Ikeja, domestic staff, medicals abroad, etc which the son of the President can never afford through his work. The lady said she made the request because her ex husband is a son of the President of the most populous nation in Africa and being the son he has connections and exposure to make money. Mind you, the lady married the President's son when the father became President. Which means if the man's father were to be in prison or an illiterate village man she wouldn't have married him.

That's woman for you. You said she chose death to giving his children $15K monthly. Now she can collect the money from grave. So the children are his children and not her children? To worsen the matter, DNA test might even show that the children are not his biological children.

I thought of that too, why not relocate to naija and start a new life? Well guess he was probably born in the US and may not know the Nigerian terrain. Also the US justice system may declare him wanted since failure to pay child support is a jailable crime. The 15k will just be accumulating, waiting for him. They could even issue interpol warrant. The Dr probably has hundreds of thousands in student loan debt now joined with 15k monthly igbese, his mortgage on his house his wife will collect yet he will still be paying, the cars nko, the monthly payment, all these join with his loosing his licence to practice. Hmm, wahala..
I bet you, once he escapes to Nigeria, no interpol can arrest him. I can assure you that. He was probably scared of returning to Nigeria because of how Nigeria is being painted on Social Media.

He has a good profession and from Anambra. In future he might even be supported to establish an hospital. It is very painful. If he had come home for Detty December he would have still been alive because he would have gotten a girlfriend whose thought would have reduced depression from his divorce scenarios.

I believe some Nigerians in US secretly undergoing similar situation should be thinking of coming home especially now that Trump is in power.

It's a complicated story, but here's is a brief history of this conflict

Tutsi is one of Rwandan subtribe living in Eastern DRC since the colonial period. They own properties such as land , houses , farms etc but they've complained of marginalization from the government of congo, accusing DRC of treating them as non- residents or aliens.

The eastern Congo where Tutsi occupies is well endowed with natural resources such as Diamond, cobalt and Gold

Technically Kagame benefits from the minerals through his tribe the Tutsi living in Eastern Congo, the reason for his involvement in the civil war happening in Goma and North Kivu.

We also have other local and international actors who are fighting for their own interest in DRC

Both the M23 rebels backed by Rwanda and Rwandan soldiers are fighting Congolese government in eastern DRC

Similar to what happened in eastern Ukraine when Russia invaded and took crimea in 2014, Putin felt the ethnic Russians living in eastern Ukraine were being persecuted by the government of Ukraine

But I don't support what Paul kagame is doing, he's destabilizing that region

Paul kagame is from Tutsi tribe
OK. I can now understand. Long time, ever since he became Rwanda President, I was thinking he is from Hutu tribe.

Africa problem is almost the same. My friend who is a senior official with AU in Addis told me few years ago when the late Ethiopian President fell sick about the ethnicity arrangement for power in Ethiopia. Till date, there is crisis in a part of Ethiopia

Yes. They have to praise him. Soludo is an economist, a First Class economist. He was an Economic Adviser to Federal Government and Chairman, National Planning Commission and later, CBN governor. Soludo knows under the situation that Tinubu came to power with Fiscal and Monetary policies crises, it takes ingenuity to start new projects less than 180 days of assumption of power. Also, with his exposure they can read the direction of the government.

All the issues mentioned have been on ground without any hope of resolutions. The fact that there is development commission and there are people working behind the scenes to kickstart one or two of those project are success.

that's why it was thrown out. Again police acts is subject to public service rules.
7 Rule 020810 of Chapter two (2) of the Public Service Rules (PSR) states that the compulsory retirement age for all grades in the service shall be 60 years or 35 years of pensionable service, whichever is earlier, and no officer shall be allowed to remain in service after attaining the retirement age of 60 years or 35 ... That guy won't survive it in court.
You are just talking nonsense. The Police Service Rules you mentioned here is the same for Armed Forces. The Service Chiefs may be retained by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and nothing will happen. He can carry out retirement and appoint those loyal to him and nothing can happen. If retirement is done and another set is appointed is it not the same?

Donald Trump can carry out appointment of all the heads of the critical US Security agencies loyal to his Security Strategy and there is nothing anybody can do because he is the Chief Security Officer of the US.

The time the Police Act is amended is of no relevance here. The IGP is an appointment by the President ratified by the National Assembly. The President is just taking his time. He can retire a set, and make an appointment of a competent trusted person as IGP.

For some of those who don't understand what aids means. Is not a physical money but goods/services rendered.

US has been sending tons of drugs and some other products as foreign aids to African and Middle East countries for years.

African countries should rise and take care of their citizens and stop been wasteful by depending on developed countries.
Most of the people making comments on popular social media platforms are youths and mainly inexperienced and exposed. Having said that, consultancy services and money for running the overseas offices of the International NGOs under USAID are charged to the project. One of the good things is that those American International Agencies (NGO) administering these funds employ Nigerians and pay them very well. Also, local salary for the officials , logistics for projects and several funds for running the Projects and Project Management Office are paid directly in US Dollars . Aids that come in form of good and services now add to the project office cost.

Some Agencies under USAID also provide support to CSOs and government agencies, this is also in US dollars.

My concern is that US buys our oil. What is the amount of Aids received from China?

How much Aid has been received from China in the last 10 years? I am not talking of executing a project already inflated by 150%, then decided to give a grant to cover about 50% of the project while Nigeria only pays 50%. At the end, the 50% counterpart funding from Nigeria already covers the entire project.

You are 100% correct. When I was using my personal account on nairaland (babaolofin) I have written extensively several times about several shady deals going on in the cash transfer scheme, school feeding program and N power. Humanitarian ministry of the last administration was a corruption bazaar.

CSOs are not exempted from corruption in Nigeria. Those who are very close to some NGOs know what is happening. I don't blame Governors at all.

What are the criteria for selecting those vulnerable Nigerians. CSOs cannot solely generate names. In the past, most of the NGOs that were funded by International Donor Agencies or organizations on good governance advocacy programs used such programs to enrich themselves. They collect BioData and account numbers of those ready to play games and those that can easily be manipulated. So many things happened.

For instance in IjebuOde, we have Bilikisu Sungbo Temple. Ijebu people in Ogun State believe that the Queen of Sheba is actually Bilikisu Sungbo, a wealthy and childless widow from medieval. A very respectable old IMAM was telling us in 2023 at IjebuOde while at Muslim Burial Ground which is few metres adjacent to the temple that what we have here is not valuable to us. He said this is similar to what they travelled thousands of kilometers with foreign currency to observe in foreign countries. We have a lot of these shrines in Nigeria.

We know your hatred and that was why Lagos State properties and Tinubu properties and that of Gbajabiamila were destroyed during the Endsars riots propelled by your people.

I intentionally avoided making references yesterday to barracks named after serving president for personal and professional reasons. I only made reference to the one named after Jonathan by Ihejerika as COAS because of my experiences in the University in IBO land several years ago. Till date the behavior has not changed.

It takes any government at least 12 months of coming into power to start any major project. Despite inheriting a government with 96% devoted to servicing debt and collapsed fiscal and monetary policies with comatose economy where cash is being sold by transfer of 8K to buy 5K cash and no physical cash for domestic usage except to queue for hours at Banks ATM to withdraw 2K, the Tinubu government kick-started projects less than 180 days of assumption of office and stabilized Fiscal and Monetary policies, serviced backlog of foreign exchange commitments to Airlines and multinationals and serviced debts while projects are going on everywhere.

No government in Africa has performed like this government. This is high level of ingenuity.
