erico2k2:
who are the legal and illegal immigrants?

The illegal immigrants will know themselves when time comes.

tot:
Just a single line comment, yet your response has gone from 0 to 100 in a sec, inferring all sorts. You better take it easy.

A single question could lead to hours of tutorial. If somebody lives in a house built by the oceans and you ask where is the ocean or oceans, it is important you start a tutorial to teach him lesson.

Going to Cotonou from Nigeria, you see a long stretch of beach with coconut trees on the left .This beach starts from Lagos.

Manhattan Beach in California does not come the way it is from heaven, it was developed with billions of dollars. This is the most expensive beach in US.

I was at Calabar when Duke was governor for almost one year shuttling Obudu ranch and Tinapa on projects. I know the amount of investment and commitment by Duke that went into Obudu ranch. Lagos has not taken those beaches as projects or invested on them. They are just there. Any private investor that invested there should be appreciated.

The lesson of Manhattan, Obudu ranch and Lagos waterfront and beaches is that natural endowment must be developed and managed to meet a predetermined purpose.

The natural endowment of Lagos - Islands, Peninsula, Beaches and flat land are yet to be fully developed because of Nigeria which Lagos carries. In future, they would be developed.

Excelinpages:
I was expecting to see beachfront pics first ..but hmm

Beach front is there. Lagos has beachfronts up to Badagry and Seme. The beach front continues to Cotonou. You find lots of coconut trees there. Development of waterfronts for recreation needs development. One thing is Islands with Atlantic Ocean and Lagoon.

People are just talking based on envy. The multinationals that developed the resort and those expensive yacht owners are not complaining.

In future when illegal immigrants leave and Lagos population reduces, the Lagos beaches can be developed.

Godfullsam:
He is from ilaje, and the people of ilaje are ijaws right?

Mind you, I am from Ondo state. There is nothing like Ijaw section in ilaje, idanre, ode irele, ikale or any part of Ondo state .

Go and do your findings very well.

Young man, why is it that Youth always argue blindy, did I tell you he is an Ilaje?
He is from Arogbo Ijaw community of Ondo State.

You are not from Ondo State and you don't want to learn.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arogbo_tribe

https://m.guardian.ng/sunday-magazine/arogbo-ijaw-11-years-after-tussle-new-king-is-crowned/

Godfullsam:
Mr Man I am from Ondo state. Are you now saying I am not a Yoruba man?

You can take SOWORE for all I care but don't group the good people of Ondo state with any other tribe .

Omo Yoruba ni wa!

OMOLEYE SOWORE told you in your private meeting with him that he is from Ondo but not a Yoruba

Funny man

He has said it severally on public fora. In the Riverine areas of Ondo State, we have Ilaje and Ijaws. During Obj time, they fought and killed lot of people.

Sowore is a politician. When he was at Unilag, he was a Yoruba man, when he made money and fame he is an Ijaw. Whenever he creates problem or runs into problem, people take him as a Yoruba man. He is from the Ijaw section of Ilaje/EseOdo area of Ondo State.

favor914:
Stupid analogy, at best ludicrous & senseless, explain what you mean by Southern Nigeria, in a Federal system of States?

It is a stupid analogy because you are stupid and see things the way a stupid man or a cow sees things. I can even call you a fool for asking me what do I mean by Southern Nigeria in a Federal system of States? You have Northern Nigeria Cement Company, Northern Peoples Congress - your ancestors political party, Northern Governors Forum, but to your nomadic sense and in your dictionary, Southern Nigeria does not exist. You have just exposed your folly, in your secret discussion , Southern Nigeria does not exist, only AREWA exist in Nigeria.

Yorubas and Igbos, all the social cultural organization in yoruba and Ibo land , the South East, South West and South South Caucus of the NASS should come together and organize themselves. It is the yorubas that put me and this animal in the same country.

Godfullsam:
OMOLEYE SOWORE an Ijaw man?

Anyway, come and carry him to Ijaw. We Don dash una..

Sowore himself said he is not a Yoruba man. He said he is from an Ijaw speaking area of Ondo State.

The Yorubas have serious problem. Yorubas inability to take a common stand has imprisoned the entire Southern Nigeria.

Lakeshizu:
I was at this beach march 2018, the op should have mentioned why getting there was difficult. Most of the beach houses are owned by multinationals operating in Apapa and environs. So staffs takes turn to get the services of their boat/yatch operators.
It was really interesting because I saw many companies operating in Apapa. For the beach house we lodged in we brought everything needed. They don't even sell pure water there, No light but we rented a tiger gen (3k) to power our sound system and charge our gadgets. I love the part of the trip where u will see hundreds of ships entering and leaving the shores of this country, very massive and gigantic. No MTN signal there o

From Epe to Seme after Badagry Lagos has long stretch of Beach and different Islands. The mentioning of Ilashe Beach somebody said it is expensive because it is on Lagos Island.. From Apapa where you have Snake Island behind Tincan up to Badagry and Seme you have Islands and Beaches. This is different from VI/Lekki/Epe axis.

Somebody said the place is closer to Cameroon Coastal Border with Nigeria which means both of you are talking of different places. Lagos Fairway Buoy is not around that place and Cameroon Water does not extend to that place. I know quite a lot of Islands and beaches along Apapa / Badagry axis, most of them are not developed. The population burden, industrial burden and Port/Maritime activities have damaged the environment from Costain to Apapa to Mile 2 and to Seme. Those areas were very beautiful in 80s and early 90s, very serene environments with low population. With the invasion of Lagos by population explosion and industrial activities, those areas have become jungles. Development of those beaches can only happen when the roads are fully reconstructed and the people organized which is beyond Lagos because of nomadic unitary system of government being operated in Nigeria. I intentionally refused to answer the fool who asked me foolish question that Ojukwu answered in 1967 and which is in Lagos and the entire Southern Nigeria submission at the last National Conference under Jonathan. Nigeria can never work under this system.

Multinationals developed that place for relaxation, some of them have their boats at beach land estate jetty, Apapa. This video which I got on nairaland about the beach, the first thing that surprised the lady was Cows at the beach, the guy diplomatically ignored the question

video
https://www.nairaland.com/4508558/ilashe-beach-lagos-nigeria

Lagos has no control over how cows got to the beach. Remember, those who owns the cow made laws taken the ownership of Lagos waters from Lagos. I believed on the Eko Atlantic City project, somebody has answered him. He said investors are pulling out. I believed the guy is a drunkard. All those comments are just to attack Lagos, the third economic city of Africa populated by strangers who hate her development but just in Lagos to make money.Lagos is in chaos with infrastructures under tension of over use and Lagos is enslaved by constitution.

Alaska90:
They are so so gullible....Reno, Jonathan and other criminals on that list can still sue Sowore today.

Why are they afraid to do so?

But they can go around reporting him.... please go to court if you are clean

I dare you

It is not only Reno that wrote letter. While FBI was conducting underground researches and monitoring, some Nigerians using different organization names wrote to FBI and other US Agencies with names of Nigerians they want investigated for cybercrimes . I believed this is done out of envy.

lexy2014:
But really is in Lagos to be envious about?

There is nothing in Lagos to be envious about because we don't operate America system of government - Federalism. If Lagos were to be a country of her own, it would be the fifth or fourth economy in Africa.

That place is just an Island or peninsula. The best description for that place is beach resort. From this nairaland video
https://www.nairaland.com/4508558/ilashe-beach-lagos-nigeria
it can be seen.

Lagos has so many Islands and peninsula. Lagos carries the burden of Nigeria without anything to show for it.

I saw a lot of comments just to discredit Lagos as a megacity overburdened by Nigeria problems. Between now and 5am tomorrow, over 5.000 vehicles (trucks, cars & buses) will enter and leave Lagos.

The person that said Eko Atlantic City has failed does not know anything and he talks foolishly. He can even claim he sleeps and wakes up in Robert and Gilbert houses and the houses of other promoters of Eko Atlantic City. Some people are funny.

techmo:

Which airspace are they managing? Sensible Government always use PPP arrangements, but Nigeria must get lazy quota system civil servants

.

They are just collecting big salaries. Some of them are on special high salary. The corruption is also very high. Contractors in those organization know them very well. They collect bogus salary, award contract to themselves through proxies and collect almost 50% share from contractors. Those guys are very mean. The DG or CEO does not know what is happening in that organization.

Aflix:
wow this is really nice coming from the North.
1.2 million daily is quite huge

This is very impressive. Nigeria is a great country. Kano is a center of Commerce. Business everywhere. Kebbi State is an Agricultural Revolution State
with lots of investment. Processed Rice and Tomatoes would be exported from Kebbi in few years from now.

Lagos is the worst victim of this corona pandemic in the world. Sanwoolu has closed major markets weeks before FG made total lockdown pronouncement. Self employed people have really suffered.

In my opinion, this is a very good investment to diversify from oil. Rice farming and production have saved us money and created jobs. Wheat is also consuming a lot of foreign currency, but the farmers in US with interest in Flour Mills in Nigeria may never allow wheat growing to record success.
