Am at the state schl board now. Am standing on the que now. The information is pasted at the schools board now since morning.

Is it true that government schools in Rivers state will be closing on the 10th Dec.@ pls any info let us know. My students told me in the class this afternoon.

Yesterday on 7pm news via the Rstv The Rivers state Govt declared Friday and monday work free day. But I still went to school to be sure on reaching there students and teachers who were already in school by 7:30am were going home. Quickly I joined back the taxi back home. I don't know where you got that information, we need our salaries(arears) and not inconvenience fee. Think positive and dont allow anyone to deceive you. We are expecting our salary as the Zonal Education secretary told us yesterday.

Pls my colleagues you need to be careful, I heard this morning that Amaechi the Governor visited some school checked the attendance for the new teachers. Those who were not around in the school at the moment he sacked them.

Serious cleaning up exercise in our Physics laboratory, ceiling eaten up by termites, tables damaged, no lab stools/chairs, there are no adequate (physics) science equipments.

I can't get money again for transport. I have borrowed and the distance is far and I can't rent an apartment there because there is no money. Make dem pay our salary ooooo

The principal that said that those that registered from 10th Oct. Will not be paid, is he the one paying? He forgot that some persons now has not been posted.

Am not used to staying at home since my name was omitted and quit the teaching that I was doing as I heard that posting has been done. Plz God come and here the cries of your children on this issue of omitted names. Plz if any info concerning the posting we will appreciate it house.

Goodmorning nairalanders, the information yesterday that said list was pasted at the board for the omited names made me run to the board in the rain. I reached the board by 2:30pm and I was told that there was nothing like that. Here and then I was told to go back and check online by 6pm or today being friday. One of the staff whom I met also told me to go and continue checking we are working on it. Lets keep waiting goodluck to all.
