FamilyRe: Are You Enjoying Your Marriage? by profola2be(m): 2:36pm On Oct 10, 2013
kofsy: I just feel like asking this question from married folks cos these days, marriage scares the hell out of me. From stories about infidelity, physical/emotional abuse to incompatibility and family issues. I'm starting to feel it doesn't worth it. That institution called marriage looks overrated to me.

If you are married and you are reading this, in sincerity, are you enjoying your marriage? Do you think you'd pick the same partner if given the chance to start over. Are there lessons you feel unmarried folks should learn from your experience?
If given the chance to start one Billion times, sorry, uncountable times over again, honestly,God is my witness,I will endlessly choose my Darling Wife(Oluwatoyin Ayodele Arike Precious and my children)
Define joy and comfort in whatever term;they surely represent it!

Keep indebting your state.
Bro,atleast this one(Okorocha didn't borrow because he wants to build stadium and eat the rest,he borrowed to give comfort to humanity!
He's a lot better than Olagunsole Oyinlole, the former governor of Osun state who borrowed 18 Billion naira to build 6 stadium across Osun state!

Falana, the only Question I will ask u is this: what are those deported to their state of Origin doing in Lagos in the first place?
Do they have any work doing in Lagos?
Do they have any place to reside, besides under the bridges in Lagos?
If the answers to the questions are No,then,I do not see anything wrong in their deportation,as a matter of fact, they should go back to the villages and contribute to the economy of their states through farming!

Christianity EtcRandy Bishop Paraded In P/harcourt For Molesting Girl, 15 by profola2be(op): 3:12am On Jul 03, 2013
A Port Harcourt-based bishop (names withheld) was, on Tuesday, paraded before the media by the Rivers State police command for allegedly raping a 15-year old girl.
Although he claimed to have both been hypnotised as well as set up by a colleague bishop, the cleric confessed to having a “carnal knowledge” of the teenager in question.
He said his ordeal was orchestrated by another bishop in whose office the immoral act took place, adding that plot to ensnare and embarrass him followed on the desire of his brother bishop to displace him as the chairman of all bishops in the state, a post he (the accused bishop) currently occupied.
The accused also denied reports that he assisted in aborting the pregnancy that resulted from the illicit act with the teenager, alleging that it was the girl’s father who did the abortion, while he, the bishop, paid for the cost.
“We have different colleges of bishops. I am the chairman of Communion of Bishops in Rivers State. Well, what actually happened was a set-up. It was set up by my enemies. I have so many people who are my enemies. The man who is in-charge of where I went to minister is my enemy. He is the person that set me up.
“He invited me to his church for a programme. And, after the programme, he set me up because of what we are dragging. We are dragging chairmanship of the communion and that was why he set me up.
“I was surprised when I saw her pulling off her skirt and others. But, before you knew it, I had a carnal knowledge of her. That is the truth of the matter.
“She started laughing at me. She said ‘are you angry?’ I told her that I did not know what she had hypnotized me for. She said I should not bother. I was so angry and annoyed that I called some of my pastors and made a confession that I did not know what was happening,” he said.

CelebritiesI Was Once A Casual Worker -yinka Ayefele by profola2be(op): 5:08am On Jun 26, 2013
2013-06-25 23:00:54

Celebrated artiste, Yinka Ayefele, returns as a teacher at a counselling programme organised by Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, writes AKINWALE ABOLUWADE

Tungba gospel/juju artiste, Yinka Ayefele, had an opportunity to recall his turbulent past recently. He and other professionals had a mentoring session with a group of secondary school students in Ibadan, Oyo State. The event was organised by the Nigeria Bottling Company Plc.

The youths, who converged on Jogor Centre, Ibadan, had a fun-packed moment listening to several professionals from different disciplines. The programme brought together pupils and young professionals for career counselling, motivation and brainstorming session in a relaxed atmosphere.

On his part, Aiyefele told the pupils that he initially planned to be a lawyer but ended up as a broadcaster. Though he is now seen as a successful artiste, he explained that the road to fame was tortuous.

"I worked as a casual worker at Eagle Flour. I joined Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in 1989. I was there as a Father Christmas and I used to earn N50.''

Recalling his experience when he had an accident and sustained a spinal cord injury, he said, "I spent nine months in hospital and I knew there was no remedy for spinal cord injury. I had a choice - to die or to live. I chose to live. I didn't want to become a liability. I decided to live and make it.

"I learnt how to play all musical instruments on my own. I was in persistent pains 24 hours - five of my ribs got broken in the accident, but I had to forget my pains and forge ahead".

He urged the participants to aim high and refuse to allow anything to stop them from reaching their goals in life.
PoliticsWhy Obama Won't Visit Nigeria - US by profola2be(op): 4:56am On Jun 26, 2013
2013-06-26
The United States on Tuesday hinted on the reasons why President Barack Obama won't visit Nigeria during his upcoming three-nation trip to Africa.

According to US officials, the ongoing insecurity appeared to be responsible for the exclusion of Nigeria  in Obama's second visit to the continent.

Obama is scheduled to visit Senegal, Tanzania and South Africa.

The US government said the trip would focus on trade and investment, democratic institution-building, young people, and enhancing  economic growth.

American Deputy National Security Advisor, Ben Rhodes, made this clarifications at a briefing on Tuesday.

The briefing was addressed jointly with the Senior Director for African Affairs Grant Harris and Senior Director for Development and Democracy Gayle Smith, on Obama's upcoming visit.

The text of the briefing was made available to journalists in Abuja by the Information Office of the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy.

Rhodes said, "With respect to Nigeria, we certainly believe that Nigeria is a fundamentally important country to the future of Africa. We've put a lot of investment in the relationship with Nigeria through their leadership of ECOWAS, through the significant US business investment in Nigeria and through our security cooperation.

"Obviously, Nigeria is working through some very challenging security issues right now. And in that process, they're going to be a partner of the United States. We certainly believe we'll have an opportunity to further engage the Nigerian government through bilateral meetings going forward. But at this point, we just were not able to make it to Nigeria on this particular itinerary.

"I will say that we purposefully designed the  itineraries to be able to reach West Africa, South Africa and East Africa, and in West Africa, to visit Senegal, a French-speaking, Muslim-majority democracy that is an important partner of the United States and also provides a platform for the President to speak to the broader region.

"We are also looking at ways, at the President's town hall in South Africa with young African leaders, to draw in through technology young people in Nigeria and in Kenya, among other places, so that the President is using this trip to speak to the broader African audience. We recognize we'd like to go to as many countries as possible.''
