Oga, there are many forms of correctional measures depending on the offence, the institution involved and also what society's law stipulated pertaining to such offence..

Some ppl are in the prison today for an offence that they would have just be pardoned and counseled. Why haven't you rant and shout to the Judge or the law of the land.

Listen, some correctional measures may not just be to correct that particular offender, rather to deter others that may have such intention in the future. Someone can be sacrificed just to save the life of many others.

To me, I don't beliv that every offence should be forgiven without punishment. If you don't want to be punished, make sure u stays out of the way of the law.

This is just sad, they could have definitely handled the situation better. Expelling the girl isn't the best decision. I mean we really lack human feeling in this country. This is something that did not occur on campus and the school wasn't in session. No crimes were committed. According to the law what happened was legal, although stupid but legal all the same. Babcook name was dragged through the mud, but they could have redeemed themselves in a more humane way.

Now, you want the good name to be second class in this issue so that the name of the student be protected at the expense of the university name.
