Anyone please.....

Psychosocial:
Hello, I'm resuming in University of Calgary Fall 2021. I book British Airways to Calgary through Toronto after 3 hours layover. I fly on 31st August 2021. I'm a bit confused as to the quarantine protocol. Do I come out to get my study permit at the Toronto Airport and quarantine in Toronto. Or layover at Toronto for my Calgary flight and arrive Calgary first before I get my study permit and proceed to quarantine there.

P.S. I haven't been vaccinated. Suggestions from anyone who has traveled from Nigeria to any province
in Canada other than Toronto and Montreal, after 9th August 2021 would be very helpful.

Thank you.

Please guys, I need help o.

My PPR package has been refused twice by the VAC, without any reason at all. I enclosed my passport along with all the required documents, and proof of payment of the Transmission Fee, and addressed it to the Abuja VAC office. I paid for a return-courier via UPS. Funny thing is the package easn't even opened before it was refused, so I cannot know what the exact problem is. Even reaching the VAC by phone is almost impossible because the call goes off once you select the option of speaking with an agent. The email I sent when the package was refused initially has still not been replied. This is quite a strange case.

Apart from trying a different courier service, is there anything I can do differently??
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Psychosocial: 5:22pm On Apr 27, 2021
I got my PPR, and up until now, nothing was updated. ELIGIBILITY, BACKGROUND CHECK, MEDICAL, everything still looking like a fresh application. Funny right?
Teenie19:
Thank you for sharing your timeline and congrats again! The fact that your eligibility never changed till you got your PPR confirms my question yesterday in regards to the fact that IRCC sometimes do not update these things! Please what program are you going for?

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Psychosocial: 7:13pm On Apr 26, 2021
I made the payment and included the receipt in the package. From what I was told, the package wasn't opened and was refused at the gate. Without any explanation. The courier office I called yesterday said they'll try delivering it again tomorrow. I asked that they say least hey an explanation from them tomorrow as to why it was refused. Hoping for the best

Hello Psychosocial,

Where was the rejected written on? Did you make the transmission fees payment?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Psychosocial: 1:05pm On Apr 26, 2021
I paid the transmission fee, and included the receipt in the package. Funny thing is I hear, the package wasn't even opened. Is there anyway I can reach the Abuja VAC office by phone??
Joyousgem:

That is strange. Did you pay the transmission fee since you didn't do your biometrics in Abuja? If I remember rightly, you had misplaced your biometrics slip.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Psychosocial: 12:49pm On Apr 26, 2021
I sent my passport to Abuja in response to PPR, the package got to the office, but they didn't even open it and they wrote "REJECTED" on it. What didn't I do right? I had my Biometrics done in Lagos two years ago. Or didn't I get the Abuja VAC office right?

I did, for tuition deposit in January. Took between 4 to 6 weeks before payment was received. If you have time on your hands, I suggest you try it out because it saves you a lot in FX.
Rootiab:
Who else has used first bank for form A??

Hello,

Usually it should be on hold until you submit the required documents, or until the 30 days deadline elapses.

But nobody knows what goes on in the background.

For the First Bank statement, you can have the bank stamp all the pages of the statement, attach a reference letter and forward it to IRCC.
That's what alot of persons have been doing to tackle that.

I'll advise you submit the statements so you can meet up with the deadline.

IT WILL END IN PRAISES
Has anyone here been successful using bank statements not from "mybankstatement", and also do they expect the statement have to reflect through the 6month and 12month period

Hello Friends,

I received NOI letter from Ontario for PNP, Can I edit some little information on my EE profile to suit the documents I would be submitting in the OINP EOI Like dates of Work Experiences/ History??

Any red flags here??

Hello Friends,

I just got the NSE request letter. I am self-sponsored. They said I need to provide a bank statement for 6 months and 12 months of bank history.

I submitted 3 statements, 2 from First Bank, and 1 from UBA totalling #5.4m and $10,000USD. These funds haven't all been sitting in the account for 12 months o; in addition, I have also made tuition deposit of about $18,000CAD even before submitting my application. First bank is not listed among the banks that subscribe to the mbankstatement facility.

They said if I don't reply to the request in 30 days, the application would go through the normal process.

Does this mean my file processing would be on hold pending when I supply the statements or not?

My program is for Spring 2021, starting in May. What do you think I should do?

Hello Guys,

I got refused study permit in 2018. I am trying to apply again. In the denial letter I got in 2018, there was a UCI number on it. Should I use this same number in filling out my IMM forms? or does IRCC give every application a UCI number??

Please guys, does anyone know of a convenient way of getting the best forex rates to pay tuition? Western Union is pretty high, and Schools these days don't give out banking details to enable using CBN Form A.

Thanks

Hello guys,
I am preparing my online study application. My program starts May 2021. I have been denied once already in 2018 on the grounds of personal assets and financial status (I got my GCMS notes). At the time, I used an agent then, but I’ll be doing it myself this time.

Since then, I have acquired some personal assets with tangible worth.

I have well over double what it costs ($24KCAD) for yearly upkeep in all my accounts put together.

I plan on applying as a sole-sponsor.

I’m thinking of paying my tuition before applying; but this transaction is not going to be made from any of my accounts

How would this fly if I present the receipt of payment from the school for a full academic year and tender my bank statements that show well enough money for upkeep

All other supporting documents are in order, including Employment letter, Employer references, 5 months payslips, Pension statements, tax clearance certificates, Statements on all my accounts, and property documents and their valuation documents, even an Affidavit of Return, lol…

N.B: My program is a one year M.Eng program to my B.Eng.

Hello dannybomb,

Just like @lekkiboboe said,

To apply for your Canadian visa, you need to show your 1 year tuition and 10,000 cad for upkeep.

10,000 cad alone is 3 million Naira. Your tuition for a year would be 10,000 cad or more (so budget should be 3 million and up for 1 year tuition) When you add both of them, that’s 6 million. So the minimum amount you should have is 6 million. The tuition can even be more depending on your school.

And your sponsor cannot have 6 million exactly, because it’s not possible for him to give you all his money. So he should have way above what you need. The canadaian journey is expensive. If you’re looking for something more affordable, check Europe.

All the best

I am Sefl-sponsored. I have about ($14,000CAD approx) in my accounts statements put together, and I am planning on paying my one year's tuition from some other source. Is it mandatory to show the mode of transaction as to how tuition was paid??, or would providing just receipt of payment from the school and my bank statements suffice

Hi, few things you can do, first, go on twitter and message them there, let them know your school replied already, why is your account still showing on hold. If u don't get a response after two days, message them again. It could be a human error.

They will tell u what is going on and why they need another verification.
Done.... Thanks a lot
Education / Re: Am Having Issues With Wes by Psychosocial: 7:05am On Jan 16, 2020
I have been having slightly the same issue, but a bit worse. I submitted all my documents, and my institution has sent verification to WES. WES confirmed receipt of the verification and updated my status to "Evaluation in progress" without a due date of completion. This was on the 30th December 2019. Since then my status has from "Evaluation in progress" to "On Hold" two times now, each time WES sending me this email:

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for submitting your credentials for evaluation to World Education Services (WES).

We are committed to preparing evaluations based on documents that are accurate and valid. Due to the increased incidence of fraud, WES conducts a secondary verification of documents.

This is to advise you that WES has sent photocopies of your documents for verification both electronically and by standard postal mail to University of Benin. Your WES file is on hold until we receive a written response from this institution.

Response times vary and can take just a few days or can extend to weeks. If we do not receive a response from the institution within seven weeks, we will automatically send another request. There is nothing that you need to do at this time. This communication is strictly between WES and the institution.

Please note that you are responsible for the documents submitted under your name. If any document submitted under your name is found to be fraudulent, WES will not evaluate any other document you submitted. It is also WES policy not to issue a second evaluation report once an account has been closed due to fraudulent documentation.

For more information regarding the verification process, please review this article: https://www.wes.org/advisor-blog/verification-status/

We appreciate your patience in allowing your former institution sufficient time to respond to our request.

Sincerely,

Director of Evaluations

Right now my account status is reading "On Hold". I am confused as to what to do, because each time I call to ask what exactly the problem is, the guys on the customer care line have no clue, they just give you rehearsed responses and read exactly what you can see on your screen, as if you don't have access to your account undecided undecided . If i ask if the nature of the verification sent by my institution was adequate, all I get is "We cannot ascertain that, as that communication is between WES and the institution". My school is yet to receive any sort of re-evaluation of any sorts. Please, can anyone explain to me the hell is going on, this whole WES episode quite frustrating; to even think that I had crossed the greatest hurdle of getting transcripts and verification sent from this our quack Nigerian university offices.

Wes is just fraustrating me.. Since 30 of dec they acknowledged my Verification reply...I am yet to get a date of completion. I have called and called, sent emails, chatted them on messenger and twitter.yet they stay they are still reviewing? Abeg i dunno what else to do
