Yes, I am. Classes are online for now until mid-February. People move around when they have to and no one stops them. I haven't started looking for a job yet (putting that till next month) so I really don't know about part-time jobs.

If your course is for a year, then you have paid the right amount. IHS will be £(470+235) which comes to £705. You'll get roughly the amount you paid of you convert to USD

I think i might have made a mistake in my application. Ukvi calculated IHS as 994.68 USD and visa as 491.00 USD. I have already made payment but when i went back to my note, i noticed IHS is usually higher since you’re meant to pay for a year and 6months. My course is for a year by the way. Please how do i rectify it? Abi is my God favoring me already? Should i sleep tight or start crying?

You’d either download the Vodafone app or login to your account on their website. It’s an add-on. It won’t work on pay as you go sims though.

I used Vodafone and it was far better than lyca. I was using lyca at first but it was really expensive because you had to buy data, national minutes and international minutes separately. When I discovered Vodafone, I ported my lyca number over to Vodafone. I used to pay either £3.50 for 100 minutes or £7 for 500 minutes to call Nigeria. And my contract came with unlimited data. You could do some of both.
Advisable you check your bank's limits on transactions with its naira card abroad (which are ever-changing), open a domiciliary account, convert [some or all of] your naira to sterling, then get a debit card for that account.

Put it on a card and be in serious financial predicament..... You would only be able to withdraw $100 pcm...........

Carrying cash, it must not exceed £10,000 (or else, if found by those funny sniffing dogs).... You go explain or money seized.........

Your best option if over £10,000.... Leave in Nigeria and do trade by barter (ensure you have online access).......

Visa Alert!!!
TB Test: 16th December IOM Abuja
Application: 16th December
Biometrics: 18th December TLS Abuja (priority)
Decision Mail: 23rd December
Collection Mail: 30th December
Collection from DHL office at NAHCO: 31st December

DHL received my travel document from TLS at about 6pm and tracker shows it was received in Lagos at 7:44am but for whatever reason, they didn't bring it to me. I called their customer care number around 430pm and the lady that answered said its already at their NAHCO office and will be delivered on Monday. I ended the call and went straight to their office. Though I arrived after closing hour, I was able to get my passport and visa.

I'm headed to Staffordshire University, anyone going to Staffordshire or Kelee?

If you can, please call them. They didn't deliver mine too and when I tracked I noticed it was already in Lagos. I called and was told where it was, I just went straight and picked it. It was even past closing time.

Thanks, I think you might be right though. I received collection mail shortly after I sent the paid email.

Interestingly, I also received a response from the paid email asking me to provide further details about my application. Apparently the paid email I sent had no influence on the collection mail I received.

Calling ukvi about your application is a waste of time and money.

You don’t even get to speak to the folks handling your application. You just speak to Indians who’ll most likely give you a case number and ask you to wait for another 15 days.

Relax, these people know what they are doing, you’ll get back your passport soon.

I see mimilyrics has responded to you. Once your 28 days count is complete, you can apply for your visa provided you have received your CAS and tuberculosis certificate

Hey guys, has anyone been able to reach UKVI on phone between yesterday and now? I've been trying but was not connected to speak to someone even after selecting that option, rather I was given an email (didn't even hear it correctly) where I can reach them.

Paga verve will save you some money as official exchange rate is used.

No, it doesn't have to be in your name, but make sure its not a fraudulent card.

I didn't pay for it eventually cos I went on my appointment date but you should be able to pay with your debit card at their office
