I'm sorry to hear this. Do you have any evidence of the failed transaction: such as a screenshot of the page when the payment failed. It may help if you send that to GTB
Oggg: I have spent money on calls and transportation to the bank but yet these 3 criminals, GTB, PAGA and FLUTTERWAVE say the transaction was successful. I have asked for them to provide a document stating this in clear terms as my visa application payment is still pending. That payment was unsuccessful. My account was debited. I honestly do not know what to do again. No payment ref on my visa form as the UK visa page still states I should make payment. No document till date. This is the worst I have felt in a long time.
jay3012: I am going to Edinburgh Napier university In January MBA leadership practice. I want to pay tuition deposit tomorrow. Having a hard time doing that.. Form A wahala. Have you paid yours? How did you do it?
Don't be quick to let go of your money. Card refunds can take up to 28 days. What was their response when you contacted them about the failed transaction?
Oggg: I write this with a bitter heart after what I have passed through in almost 2 weeks now. This should also serve as a warning.. When your online visa transaction payment fails and you are still debited without value provided by PAGA/FLUTTERWAVE/GTB , forget that money.. it is gone. These 3 criminals are worse than the present govt in Nigeria. Thieves = Paga, Flutterwave and Guaranty Trust Bank.
Why not find out from your cousin since s/he's already in Hertfordshire. S/He should know schools that are close by.
Gracedom: Pls who knows any Uni closer to or around University of Hertfordshire (aside Bedfordshire). I’m trying to see if I can stay not too far from my cousin already attending the University of Hertfordshire as the Hertfordshire Uni don’t offer the course I wish to study.
Vatsyayana: Good evening respected advisors. I have a quick question regarding the proof of funds. My question is: "Can the said amount which is to be retained in my bank be in any currency other than naira?"
Mindlog: @mimilyrics, please for one presently legally residing outside Nigeria and is eligible to apply for the Tier 4 Visa in the country of residence, can the person combine the bank statement from the bank in the country of residence and the one from the bank in Nigeria and submit as POF, both bank statements bear the same name?
checkmateman: The total of my school fees is £15,000, and £7500 per year, Am I going to show the total £15,000 in my bank account on only the £7500 for the year + living expenses for a visa application?
May I know when you paid and the exchange rate (£ to $) used? I have a funded dollar card and I'm contemplating using that for tuition deposit instead of form A.
senator77: I used Mastercard dollar card to pay my 50% deposit. Its within minutes & school sent my receipt in less than 1hour.
Yes you will pay. And it's no longer £300 but £470/year. If your course lasts for 12 months, you will pay 470+235 which comes to £705. If your course lasts 2 years, you will pay 470+470+235 which comes to £1175
GHJOE: Good day pls I’ll like to confirm if I will be needing NHS to apply for Student Visa... I saw something like dat on the website of my school Thanks..
If they take the funds, how then do you intend to pay for your education in the UK?
Its better you receive your visa before touching that money in order to avoid stories.
teepapi711: Good morning people, happy new month. Incredible thread I must say. Few details about me: 1. I'm applying to study MSc management and finance at Birmingham city university 2. I have my TB test certificate, paid tuition deposit, UO in the bag, account statement would mature in another 14 days exactly. I'll apply for CAS immediately My question and my worry: I got the funds from a finance house and they'll take the funds as soon as our contract expires. My fear is does it affect me in anyway if go for biometrics and the funds isn't in my account. However I plan to submit immediately I have CAS.
AltMon2: Desmond Elliot has broken down in tears on Live TV, following the backlash he's receiving from Nigerians over social media regulation.
Recall that the former actor, at the Lagos State House of Rep in his submission, pushed for passing if social media regulation bill.
the controversial statement received lots of criticisms, as many Nigerian youths boast him for referring to youths as “children” and for also pushing for the regulation of social media.
Desmond Elliot in a new interview on Arise TV broke down in tears. This came after he apologized for his statement earlier.
Hi @kaylov12, are you in Staffordshire now, how's the school and area? Was hoping to read your application TL. I hope to be in Staffordshire in January.
With the new student visa rules in place, you can apply six months before course start date instead of the previous three months with tier 4 [ author=adeniyy01 post=95132752]
Please which session are you going for, that's, October intake or January?
I thought January intake Visa process starts from November. If the amount in acct wasn't lower than required amount in-between.. the counting is from September 9th.
Use google to search for sample SOPs, you'll get templates that you can customize. Beyond that, its very important that you understand what your course is about and why you're studying it, so you can be able to convince whoever is assessing your application
saipn: bro I need a guide or sample on how to write a good study plan and SOP for msc artificial intelligence
Not sure if you can get study visa for part time, I think it was mentioned in the newly updated student visa document but I'm not sure of the details.
If you're going for MSc, you have to compete your studies before you can switch to Tier2. Only PhD students are allowed to switch to tier 2 after 12 months of PhD study.
I'm headed to Staffordshire Uni for MSc Software Engineering in January. The course comes bundled with AWS Cloud Certification; you may see the link below to see if you may be interested
xyz123456: Hello All, I am an experienced software engineer working in Dubai. I have decided to migrate to UK and want to do it via Msc route. I want to do Msc software engineering at a top university in UK and I saw one from oxford university that I am really interested in. But the program is part time for about 2 years. My questions are 1) Is it possible/likely to get student visa for part-time Msc program? 2) If yes, Must I finish the part-time program before I can convert my Tier4 visa to Tier 2 visa even If i get a job during the program?
Its official, student visa replaces Tier 4. Thankfully, IHS is still £300/year and maintenance is still £1015/£1265. I hope both fees remain so. https://www.gov.uk/student-visa
Living expenses,if going by the new PBS system for international students from October 5,it would then be = 1,023 x 12 =12,276 pounds
Total amount needed in bank statement = 22,856 pounds *I like calculating by 12 months cause i am factoring in currency fluctuations*
The issue now is how much would the dependents need.
I am aware the maintenance fund per dependent is £680. So 680 x 12 for dependent 1 = 8,160 So x 4 dependents for 12 months is = 8,160 x 4 = 32,640
So now the ,maintenance funds for the dependents should it be added to that of the principal applicant which would be 22,856 +32640 = 55,496 pounds
Or i just have to add the difference which would be 32,640 - 22856 = 9,784 pounds
So i would just add 9,784 to principal applicant tuition balance and maintenace cost which would be a total of 32,640.
