@ StarFlux I regret not being able to help more. I wish I could. I am a student of Yoruba culture and traditions, and for me it is essential to understand certain texts. I think the help of Africaman is very positive for both! The problem I have is that I'm not fluent in English, and development of Yoruba with Spanish is still far away. @ Africaman Mó Juba! Thank you very much for your input. I live thousands of miles from Nigeria, and is often difficult to find such collaboration. I am eternally grateful. Can you count on me to it as necessary. Alaafia lai lai! |
afam4eva: All the people that i know who have tribal marks are regretting the day they got it and all of them are trying as much as possible to remove. Go and ask KIng Sunny Ade how he's being trying to remove that scar from his face.It is possible, I do not know. Certainly Africans circumcised do not think a reverse process. I understand that integration into a Western society, with such marks can lead to discrimination. But discrimination can give marks for the different language, or the color ... The presence or absence of marks ensures that there is no discrimination. The xenophobic always find some reason, regardless of marcks. I see in Africa a deep sense of inferiority to the white and especially to Europe. The trademarks, playing a role at the time, now play another. I see with disgust, that inferiority complex, this need Europeanised, that taste for wanting to be what in reality is impossible to be. I feel sorry for the permanent sense of dependence and slavery of some Africans, for having forgotten their own roots and culture. Some say that slavery is over, but the chains are not yet broken, and no heavier than l chains as that self is placed. I hope I have offended anyone. My sincere compliments. |
@Shymmex I think, very wisely, we explained that is not the same royal lineage, as the people. As I have explained to me that throughout history, there have been changes (sometimes products wars) in the line of royalty, who do not have to maintain the original lineage or be the same as that of the people. Dear Shymmex, your article is very interesting. Thank you very much for sharing! My best regards to all. @Toppie2 I understand that at that time, the important thing was to destroy the culture and traditions. Cain's marriage with an angel is a simple story, but not much different from other stories that were used to impose a transplanted culture and destroy the identity of each African people. My warm greetings to you! |
Dear brother ezeagu. It is possibly one of the best historical items presented in this forum. Please accept my most sincere congratulations to both the material presented, for the seriousness and respect. Thank you very much! @ antivirus92. Excuse me my speech. But if you give your point of view, and makes a clarification, and fulfilled the mission. Do not think it necessary to include certain offenses, which definitely read them all. I know you are an intelligent person, so you've shown to expose the other side of the story. But the insult was not necessary. Please accept my warm greetings you all! |
Hello dear friend. Hopefully, one partner can advise you. In my experience, unfortunately almost all the threads that deal with issues of the Yoruba end deserts. Several years ago, looking for contacts I was informed that it was developing a Yoruba language software. Unfortunately, on that particular issue, it's all business, and that hinders development of language and cultural knowledge. In my case, I do not give much importance to phonetics, since I live far away from Nigeria, and I have not to talk to Yoruba, but if I have interest in reading and writing in that language. In the past, I contacted the University of London, in order to know if they would publish the English-Yoruba dictionary of R. Abraham, but they answered negatively. Thanks to the good will of a friend, I managed to get a photocopy of this voluminous book. The great difficulty that I found, is the tendency to get more words forming a single. That puzzled who is learning a lot. Moreover, it is a very descriptive language (one might say that is poetic). I hope one brother Yoruba aid contribution. |
OLAADEGBU: Even you are fulfilling prophecies if you don't know.Dear Friend Olaa, I can be wrong, and you can say I am very skeptical, but Africans have a tendency to believe amazing in such frauds, which limit an to say things, and if luck accompanies them, they will have won several fans that will keep them financially. It's amazing! In Nigeria should be no more prophets than people! hahaha! A hug! |
Dearest friend frosbel : If you read what you wrote, you will understand that their permanent items are just that: pearls to pigs. Therefore, I would advise (healthy, of course) to stop writing those endless articles that nobody reads, and furthermore, are riddled with grave errors. Instead, why do not you spend your time in learning classical singing? opera? ballet? |
frosbel: So the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of GOD , not a different person to GOD.Now ... The Holy Spirit ... Let's see what the dictionary says the word "holy spirit": "m. Rel Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, who proceeds equally from Father and Son." So, dear friend and never well weighted frosbel is on the left. You are wrong ... The holy spirit is the spirit of God ... Clearly, both with your explanation, as with mine (correct), Catholicism and Christianity are sects spiritists, who worship a spirit. Yours full of excitement and joy. |
Deep Sight: What nonsense, everyone knows its Frosbel that's seated thereJesus is on the right of God the Father, and frosbel is on the left, drinking a rich mate Uruguayan ha ha ha ha! |
Let's see. I'm not Christian nor Catholic, but the bible says that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father dew ... Heb. 10.12ss 12.2, then it follows that there is more than a throne. This is part of an elementary reasoning. Not that I believe that there are three thrones, or that I support to Christianity or Catholicism ... just is what Judeo-Christian mythology says. Like it or not. Friend Olaa , yours drawings are simply abominable. My respects. |
I do not believe in a religion forum, you can convince someone to change their beliefs. I would like to make a call to peace. I do not think that atheists are fools, nor do I think anyone who believes in a god is silly. The problem arises when fanaticism us makes us believe we have the whole truth, and the others are enemies. That is not so. I do not think that atheists or Catholics, or the Islamists are my enemies ... Simply, they think differently ... and they have every right to do so, and I have my right to think. The issue is not to convince anyone, but to exchange opinions and information. I do not agree with the "capture" of followers, I believe in self-determination of each person. |
mikeujoel: You must be high on some cheap weedSurely you are a Christian. Your rudeness and ignorance, gives it away. I will not respond to an ignoramus. |
I do not like men. I'm straight. (I have nothing against homosexuals). What's more, I think that the thread does nothing more than feed the rivalry between the two groups. If we unite rather than separate?. Possibly so we benefit everyone. No? |
Well, I have not understood the question (my translator is not faithful today Lol) African culture has left a great legacy in South America, particularly Brazil, which is a neighboring country Uruguay. Mainly in Bahía de todos los Santos (San Salvador), the yoruba kitchen left a deep imprint . Preparations of fish (Moqueca) vatapà, Amala, acarajé, feixoada (a dish made with pork and black beans) topped a long list of delicacies, most of them made with palm oil. In times of slavery, Yoruba women was highly coveted as a cook, to the extent that, cooking and selling meals most of these women managed to buy his freedom and then of their husbands. Often the various issues are intertwined, in this case the culinary and historical. I hope my comments serve as a cultural contribution. Best wishes! |
fumisko: Because the church of God which include men of God must suffer persecution for Christ sake in the end times. Dint you read it in your bible? All we need do is pray for them. Remember Paul, Peter e.t.c it's just the same. But you know what. The will always be victorious at the end. All this will make sense later onNo one is persecuted for believing in a god. Christians worship feel victimized. I applaud what you said MacDaddy01. "the pastors needs a prison sentence" |
Let's see. It was not my intention to insult. Just wanted you to understand that you were insult'm all atheists. You doubted that atheists have early mor als, and that's an insult, disrespect ... I do not doubt that atheists are immoral, but not any more than Christians are without morals. It seems that you live in a world of black and white. You believe that all Christians are good and others are all bad ... You are totally wrong, or they sold a mailbox. Well, I do not entered the forum to make enemies, quite the opposite. |
OLAADEGBU: Did you mean a typical African drum like this?Well, well! That's another thing! So if ... I really like ... Thank you very much! A big hug Olaa, beyond some discussion, believe me, I appreciate you! |
gzib: I think the witchcrafts copied it from Christianity and not the other way round.Yes, witches were possibly the first Christians. That reminds me of San Cipriano ... gzib: Why don't we leave what is written on the bus and be concerned about what we receive in terms of godly edification from the church..The problem is: what can be learned in a Christian church? ... A tithe?; To misinterpret out of context biblical passages? ... The only thing important is the economic ... You do not pay tithe for six months and see how the pastor cease to smile at you, you cast it to kick in ... |
Mr_Anony: an atheist who isn't bound by any moral codeDefinitely. 1. You are absolutely stupid and not understand what you read 2. You do not read or not read. In either case, now I understand why you are a Christian. Be happy and do not forget to pay tithes. |
Mr_Anony: ............bla bla bla bla, just answer the simple question. What is the moral code of atheism?Mr. Otario Anony. The answer is as follows. ATHEISM MORAL CODE IS JUST THAT, LACKING THE CHRISTIANS. I repeat then, Christians are immoral atheists are just the opposite ... I hope I was clear now, though I'm convincing myself that your single neuron has difficulty ... @MacDaddy01 Yes it's true. But the Bible also has other uses ... I have always been very impressed by the paper thin and silky. |
Mr_Anony: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights prohibits such things? Hmm...Which article of the declaration exactly?Estimate. In another thread I already told you being a xenophobe and a segregationist. But now I must add that you are a real ignorant. Art.20 Inc.2 These are children who have no right to choice. There is also the Universal Declaration on the Rights of the Child (1989), which clearly states that children should not be used for this purpose. principle 9 The child must be protected against all forms of neglect, cruelty and exploitation. Not be subject to any question. No child should be allowed to employment before an appropriate minimum age and in no case will be allocated or permitted to engage in any occupation or employment which would prejudice his health or education, or interfere with his physical, mental or moral. principle 10 The child must be protected from practices which may foster racial, religious or other reasons. Must be educated in a spirit of understanding, tolerance, friendship among peoples, peace and universal brotherhood, and in full awareness that he must devote their energies and talents to serve their fellowmen. |
Mr_Anony: LOL ROFLI do not doubt that you will not laugh. You secretes, to insult, disqualifies and then laughs. Well ... I come in to play. I will say that this is the moral code of all Christians. You, and all Christians are xenophobic, immoral, segregationist and phonies. That is your moral code. Also, you did not have the slightest humility to apologize. You know you offended for free, but proud, proud as all Christians ... That is sin, but Christians do not care. Have this double standard not to drink, but get drunk, to criticize the sins of the flesh, but paying prostitutes ... Follow that path. It's all good Cristano. That is the moral level. Otario! |
It is outrageous to see how these mindless fans used to the innocent children for propaganda. That should be prohibited by the law ... In fact, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights prohibits such things. But no one can ask these moral ethics or religious fanatics. |
Niflheim: beware of spaceship pastors like reverend jimmy jones who preached about rapture by spaceship, same as the california cult 'heaven's gate' and cult leader david koresh.now creflo dollar has a church shaped like a spaceship...........CIA mind control cult!!!Dear Niflheim: Mr. Anony has been shown to belong to a religion of xenophobic, and scavengers. I understand he has offended all atheists, regardless of distinction, in an act of hatred that could be challenged in court. But I beg you that you forgive him. She is very ignorant, surely was raised by shepherds, whose only education was to attack all those who think differently. That is very typical of those fanatical Christian sects, who brainwash and ciinvierten the faithful in true idiots. I beg corresponds you to forgive Anony. Anony possibly, beyond ignorance and bigotry is a good person. I beg you to forgive him! |
Mr_Anony: No need for a long emotional rant, just tell me exactly what the moral code of an atheist is.Yes ... you have shown that the guise of religion is a xenophobe segregationist, shrink from yourself and your worship. I repeat to you, I'm not an atheist. |
Niflheim: beware of spaceship pastors like reverend jimmy jones who preached about rapture by spaceship, same as the california cult 'heaven's gate' and cult leader david koresh.now creflo dollar has a church shaped like a spaceship...........CIA mind control cult!!!A circus, attended fools to deposit money. But keep talking about morality Anony ... none of these pastors know what the word moral, or ethical ... laugh even the Bible and Jesus Christ ... He has many more moral an atheist than any of these frauds . |
Mr_Anony: I didn't mention morality as such but now you bring it up I'll ask you like this: If atheism has no moral code, how can an atheist fail morally?First, you are disrespecting the atheists (I am not an atheist). You are saying that atheists are immoral, that lack a moral code. I ask you to retract. You have been very rude. Second, both the prosecution of pedophile Catholic priests, as theft and adultery many committed by Pentecostal pastors, show that religion does not provide any moral or ethical people. You are totally wrong, and I've proven with facts and evidence. Morality and religion are not related. Now, I reiterate that corresponds you retract to the atheists. You have no right to say that they all lack morals. That's xenophobia ; segregation. Excuse yourself |
Really interesting ... But ... not have you any more classic version? ... say with typical African drum ... I love African music. Also the tango, of course ... |
Niflheim: pat robertson was the guy who said that there is 'a blessing in disguise' in the death of multitudes of people.this was during the time of the tsunami.also when bush invaded iraq to steal oil and rape men, women and children, pat opened a verse in the bible which stated that god will wipe out babylon so therefore bush was being directed by god.Exactly. All public event can be used by them to become famous ... But see the comment that Mr. Anony fool just made ... saying that only those pastors have ethics! By God! They are all criminals ... Jimmy Swaggart was arguably the world's most famous minister, until in 1988 he became embroiled in a sex scandal. The explanation of it was that Satan had tempted him ... ha ha ha ha! Enjoy the story ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Swaggart |
Mr_Anony: First of all, not every pastor is failing. But then, the reason why pastors can fail is because they have a code of conduct by which they are judged by.You are wrong. I am not an atheist, but morals and ethics have nothing to do with religion. I know atheists who are morally upright people, also know pedo.phile priests and pastors thieves, adulterers ... Religious belief has nothing to do with morality. You missed the shot. |
