Chylo: First of all, before I am crucified, let me say that what I mean is in a comparative sense rather than an absolute sense; I believe he's performed far better than the others since democracy, and here's why:
He established the EFCC, the ICPC and strengthened the Code of Conduct Bureau to fight corruption in Nigeria. Convicting for the first (and only) time, high-ranking government officials like Tafa Balogun and Alams, albeit politically motivated, I wish the tempo could have been maintained subsequently.
When he left office in 2007, the growth rate of the economy had risen from 3% to 7%, making Nigeria one of the fastest growing economies in the world. He did this by finding really excellent people to work with him eg Ngozi, Ezekwesili, Ribadu, Soludo, El-Rufai, Dora etc. He discovered all these people and convinced them to contribute their quota.
The Nigerian foreign reserve was only $2 billion when he came into office in 1999. By 2007, when he left office, the reserve had risen to a whopping $43 billion and he secured $18 billion debt pardons from the Paris and London clubs and got Nigeria free of debt!!!
The banking consolidation and reform, the telecom reform, the education reform (with Obi's UBE), the due process office reform, the servicom reform, the privatization reform, the NAFDAC and NDLEA reforms and finally, keeping the peace, both internally and in our international peace-keeping mission that always brought us glory, were all from this administration. I wonder how we were surviving without GSM in 1998, and how many jobs that revolution created. All this in 8 years, while Jonathan has been there since February 2010 (4 years plus now), with absolutely nothing to show for it except corruption and insecurity. Jonathan's locomotive trains I think is a good start sha.
He wasn't perfect, but I think to have achieved all these is somewhat commendable, especially the institutional strength he built in the country. I'm always in tears when I compare that to this near-imbecilic government that people are shouting all over the place about because of rice and beans they will get. We deserve much better.
-Chylo May God bless you. |

Missy89: only East timor was a proxy. the rest had us military involvement.
When Russia invaded Georgia in 2008, how come the Republicans didn't put Russia in check then even thou Georgia was an ally?
You must really think the Republicans have some special powers. I dont think they have special powers, I think they are more militarily aggressive and unpredictable and are more likely to engage russia"s continued international aggression compared to the more diplomatic democrats.Obama talks too much. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Republicans Win Control Of The US Congress by publicenemy(m): 12:30pm On Nov 05, 2014 |
Missy89: Vietnam, Libya, East Timor, Kosovo,Korea, Somalia, Yemen were all spearheaded by Democrats These were proxy wars or military operations not direct confrontational wars. The republicans are more confrontational and they being in power would put Russia in check. |

If you woke up tomorrow with a cardiac condition, wouldn't your own father or family take to social media soliciting for the same amount to help save your cheap life?
Would giving a little alms hurt you? Would giving 1naira or 100naira or 1000naira make you broke?
It's obvious you don't know where the offering box is in your church! You should read the post I replied to before concluding.she needs help and people should help but you can't insult people that refuse to help or those that are yet to help. Its not bby force to help. |

Kenneth205: I have a girlfriend. She is 21, while I am 25. She is using Blackberry and iphone while I am using Nokia torch. I bought the phones for her because I love her so much. I send 500 naira card to her everyday but she doesn't call me. She only flashes me. Whenever we go to restaurant I buy maltina and fried rice for her while I drink only pure water and ground nut. One day I bought 500 naira card for her; when we were together, she called another guy and told the guy that she loves him and will marry him. When I asked her who she was calling, she said that she was only joking. She has never ever visited my house and she doesn't allow me to visit her house. Whenever I want to hug her she would shout at me harshly. What should I do? Should I increase the recharge card I buy for her to 1000 naira? or should I buy another Blackberry phone for her and ipad for her too? I know that she loves me very much. ? #Fake story. |

@op that absolutely true, modern day God fearing men know the essence of satisfying their wives, and not all wordly men know how to satisfy their women.
However if a woman is not being fvcked well its her fault.some women don't tell their men what they want becos they don't want to be seen as indecent and some men don't get creative or dirty in bed because they feel they would spoil their wives.
As for me... I loooooove sex but I'd rather marry a woman who doesn't fancy sex like me. |
