Appreciation to everyone who has provided information previously that guided me on this path.

Got my offer of place in June 26th precisely. The dollar rate actually affected my already saved funds, so it delayed my process.

I applied for my visa September 14th it was a group application, my wife and two kids.
A week after application I got an email requesting I submit my research abstract and filled the form 1200.

October 12th my wife got an email requesting she proved we've been living together that they are already satisfied that we have a genuine relationship. They gave a 26th October as the deadline to provide this.
I went to the local government where we live and got a Domicile letter and we also added some documents like invoices carrying our address from the company she usually get her toiletries, pictures of our first and second daughter naming ceremony in our residents with family and friends, although we've provided similar pictures during the application.

She responded to the email same day which was 13th October on a Friday and on Tuesday 17th our visa landed .

Documents submitted
Proof of fund: I used a fixed deposit certificate
Proof of employment: I'm an entrepreneur, I submitted my CAC documents, 5 years Annual returns receipt from CAC, recommendation letter from a federal university I've worked for commending my company (I run a solar company), clients reviews, memorandum of understanding I entered with top leading microfinance bank with sole aim to sponsor anyone interested in acquiring solar in their homes, 6 months bank statement of my company showing transactions (I banked with a microfinance bank), my NYSC certificate, and CV.

Education: I submitted my bachelor's and master's degree certificate and transcripts.

For my wife: She's a professional banker, I submitted all her employment letters (3), nysc certificate, and CV.

Other documents: marriage certificate, wedding pictures, numerous WhatsApp chat conversation I had with my wife relating to our family, pictures when we had our first baby, Xmas pictures when we went out to with our kids, birthday picture of our first daughter with both of us, chat conversation when my wife was asking me to get baby food for my little daughter with date.

Family ties: nothing much here, I don't have any landed property. I only presented a picture I took with my mum and dad, and I already stated I'm the only son of my parents.

Reason to return back to Nigeria: I presented My company as my treasure, with my bank statement already shown and the partnership my company entered with a microfinance bank, I will definitely come back. I stated I have few staff with their names and information in my cover letter, they will be the one running the company in my absence. Although, they are great guys and I trust them (just two of them).

My cover letter: this was a long one, since I won't be there when my application is been reviewed, I made sure I explained in details and be convinced that there won't be any question regarding my genuine intention to study and gave a good reason why I'm coming with my wife and 2 kids. It was a long letter (9 pages )

Men and brethren, I was in doubt if my application would be approved, but I and my wife prayed endlessly, especially using a fixed deposit from a microfinance bank, No landed property and many more. God came through and helped me.

Application duration was exactly 33 days.


My program: PhD in mechanical engineering, Auckland university of Technology.

It was 10 days validity so it expires in 3 day 🤣🤣🤭. Waste of money and effort

They also asked me to report back when o come back from my trip. So I told them at TLs that I won’t be able to travel so they noted it

I’ll apply again . Hopefully they give me . This one wasn’t my fault

This guys are intelligent trust me, they don’t ask everyone the same question. It depends on why you are here and everything about your application
Hey bro, no matter what be bold, don’t panic
Once ya agent told ya all the information he fill when he or she was applying, then have some funds with ya, your return ticket and hotel reservation bro you’re good to go
They might like to see evidence of most of the info you gave them or most things you claim to be in Nigeria
Bro I will advise you to pass through Montreal if possible, Toronto immigration will delay you, they will tell ya to go and sit down so they will be watching ya on camera but you won’t know, just to see if you’re panicking, they will threaten with entry refusal to see what you gat up mind, of course they did to me, That’s when I brought out my business card and show him, he asked me if am the one that booked the ticket, I said yes, he asked for prove, showed him email on my phone, then he now say he wanna see my shop pic, I showed him then he looked at me and tell me, “am not refusing you entry, just wanna know your guts. got lucky, I didn’t spend up to 10mins while been interviewed and no one asked me to sit down and wait so everyone with his or her GOD

tips to cancel for free LOL, tell them you want to reschedule your check in to a later date after they have done that.

I really appreciate, those that said that Toronto POE is very hard believe me is nothing but the truth, two guys was sent back before me, one guy use para declare asylum before everybody immediately, the office was like you came with visit visa and you’re here talking about asylum, the guy no gree listen to an oh, the officer no get option than to give am one paper to fill
We landed by 8:30 am and I was stamped by 3:59pm
That’s to show how dull they are just to make sure everything is right with ya papers
Someone like me was checked twice before I have someone’s luggage
But by the mercy of God I passed and here I am inside Toronto

Let me use myself as example. I used micro finance as PoF. Visa officer sent a request letter requesting to see my funds in commercial bank.that micro finance is not acceptable. So pls don’t go near micro finance bank at all. I was lucky, u might not be with that. Just transfer your funds from your micro to your commercial bank and explain. Wish you best of luck!

At PEARSON AIRPORT Toronto POE

1 wicked lady and two other gentle men...

I noticed the lady was taken time questioning people and the other men's line was moving fast.. I was hoping I don't get to her cubicle but yoo, I was asked to go there..

Questions she asked..

1. Why are you in Canada

2. Paper that backed up your church program

3. Do you have a returning ticket

4. How many bags did you come with and what are the contents...

5.You mean I should grant you access into Canada with this your invitation letter.

6.. Your program is on the 25th and why do you want to stay for more 3weeks before going back to your county..

7.. where would you be staying in Canada..
As she was questioning she was asking to see the proofs that backed my claim...

She didn't stamp the pepper the machine generated after scanning my passport in ARRIVE-CAN machine but my brother's pepper was stamped because one of the gentlemen in the cubicle interviewed him and didn't ask him much question and didn't request to see any peper from him..

She sent me to other POE agents where many other people mostly blacks were sent too...
Meanwhile my brother was freed and has gone for our bags..

When it get to my turn, the officer asked why are you in the country and requested for my passport.... Immediately he saw my green passport, he shouted, Nigerians ..... They always claim to come for a conference and program and never went back to their home country and he knows i wouldn't go back too.... I acted surprised to hear they don't go back and said I have a job in my home country and won't abandoned my job... He said that's what they always say, that do i know the number of Nigerians he sees weekly that says the same thing, that I should come out plain and say the truth so that the government would help me... I told him that the truth is that after the program am going back to my home country to continue with my job... He said he is certain, I'm not going back to my country.....I told him a Catholic church invited me and the church can't be involved in anything illegal...He said people don't have shame anymore, they will claim they are here for a conference and wouldn't return back to their country and he is very sure I'm not going back and commanded I keep quiet immediately and said if I go back, he would become the president of Canada ..just that there is a policy that if a system has approved a VISA they cannot decline, he stamps it and and asked me to just go go go.. like saying carry your wahala and go🤣....

At murtala muhammed airport... We refused to pay at first and we were sent to their Boss and there the wahala started... He said we won't join the flight he requested for every pepper we have and even the peper of our invitee..We provided all and yet he didn't let us go...He insisted he knew we weren't going for any program and says he is uploading all our documents to their Canada site for verification ,that we should wait for their response..... Almost 1hour and it was almost getting late to board, we ended up paying 100k each for my brother and I and 50 us dollars for excess load.... 250k in total..

I actually applied for a PhD program in one of the private university at Sao Jose do Campus supported with a fully funded scholarship.
Documents presented:
1.Visa application form
2. Online form signed
3. Passport page
4. Bank Statement
5. Flight ticket including itinerary
5. Self Letter of introduction
6. Letter of introduction from my University which affirm that I am an academic staff of the University.
7. Accommodation/Hotel reservation.
8. Degree certificates which must be notorized
9. Visa Fees printed
8. Authorization message from the embassy
The last one which is very important was missing and I was told to submit it which is the police character certificate which must be notorized.
NB: My visa was approved for just five working days as at the time I submitted the police character certificate.

There was a time I was really desperate about travelling and them kept jaming me rejection but now na them dey Sponsor na! For this life just work hard and focus! BTW I should have made it MULTIPLE ENTRY but I didnt want to be too GREEDY!

The whole application took around 2weeks.

I wrote all my life history 🥲 i nearly wanted to die while writing my SOP lol. Omo 20 page SOP 😂 first time application.

Thanks to the knowledge of this forum.

1. I need help with accommodation in Toronto, I’m starting in January.
2. I need help with starting my wife SOWP please.


For the SOWP, will I use my IRCC profile to file her application or she will need to create her own profile ?

Fully paid Hotel reservation and 7 days Barcelona pass which I think is very important....but please ensure you do the hotel that can give you free cancellation should incase they refuse oo and some do not refund your full amount, sometimes they can charge a night from it.

Hi everyone! am here to ginger some of us never to relent or give up....like i said in my previous message here that Spain do give first timer if you try and pay half or full payment of your hotel reservation and sightseeing pass, also try and include some proof of your income.....also Spain like make you get enough money for account, cos them be wayrey! well i got my 3 months Spanish visa today.

Good evening everyone! they are giving, cos my cousin just got a Spanish 2 year Visa last week and they also gave his mom 6 months.....if you are a first timer, id advise you make full or part payment of your hotel reservation cos Spain do call hotel sometimes if you are a first timer! they actually done it for my wife before.....and also Spain likes when you have enough funds in your account...hope this information helps.
