The battle will be very sweet and the victory will be even sweeter.

Head or tail, SW wins this one for PMB.

Should Atiku pick his VP from SE, it's a straight battle between SW and SE/SS.

Should he pick his VP from SW, the SE/SS will feel shortchanged and Buhari will even have it easier.

Note: Atiku will not see the tail of PMB in the presidential election in the North. It will be something in the ratio of 3:1 for PMB.

I think you don't know igbos. We don't like him and we will never like PMB. Stop all these permutations. Even if the vp is from Niger republic, we won't vote him. Don't you get? We hate him.

Purehuman remeber that we have never had someone who represented us well in Aso-rock since 1970, remember that the fight against Igbos by the FGN is not slowing, remember we have bunch of visionless looters in our mist.

Chineke nyere Ndigbo aka.

That's is the problem. The vision less we have aggregated in the federal level have been our bane since then. If we had gotten more igbo nationalistic people there, I believe we won't be having this kind of conversation now.

They are so greedy and love to be seen as political correct people. Nothing than concerns us concern them and we have been failing every single turn.

To be frank, it's their problem.

My problem is that we are doing nothing in getting our position right in this world. Yes, individually we are making progress but as a people we are still struggling. It's been all too glaring judging from the level of industrial development we currently find in the east today.

At the bold. Truer words has never been uttered.
Those who don't want us to face facts, but would rather cling to their sweet fantasies amongst us, are constituting themselves enemies of Igbo progress, without knowing it.

If we keep building unity in our heads and not with reality, it will land us a devastating blow in no time. With a concerted effort geared towards standardisation of our education, industries, tourism and commerce, no tribe or country in Africa can rival the spirit of an Igbo man.

They call ikwerre migrants. Lol

Migrants who met people in their present location still feel they are migrants. How can one man born in the 15th century has spread to over 3million people. Even if he was Solomon, the exponential population growth just doesn't correlate.

This is why I get angry when we engage in unnecessary arguments because it will not change anything in the long run. If one says he is igbo, let them be and if he isn't, it should be his problem.

We have the advantage to not being spoiled by crude too much and it has given us the capacity to be multi-dimensional. We can use this opportunity to develop ourselves and sell quality humans to the world with rich human endowment while they keep selling the earth crust to the world.

Since they are still in the belly of the oily cow, we can make them dependent on us forever in other sectors of the economy. What we need is a concise effort at making this a reality. The best time to leverage on these politicians is when they are seeking for offices.

We need to start building a system that will not fail. We need to infiltrate the political ranks and file and change things in our favour. I don't like the way things are going and we do nothing about it.

An excellent educational system that will churn out quality graduates that can handle projects, construct roads, automobile, houses, etc are what we should be looking at. We should be able to bury commerce in our deep pockets by now and let the entire Africa depend on us. That is what we should be looking at and not unnecessary bickering.

There's no time seriously.

Yes, the oil money they get freely also affects their mentality. They feel that they rich and they don't need anyone. You cannot blame them because they are feeding fat from the system while they lay docile without divesting it.

Port Harcourt is a dead end, nothing good can come from Port Harcourt.

Enugu bu ebeano.

I told my uncle in 2005 when I did my IT in the state at the time. My uncle was building his house there and I was his part time engineer there. I saw first hand how they discuss issues and when they mention the name of my uncle, the look on their faces were not welcoming at all. I didn't pay attention to those details because I wasn't really into politics and nationhood like I am today.

Even my friend then was always critical of me whenever I say they are igbos because they spoke a dialect of Igbo. He will always make it evident that he didn't like being called one and that he wasn't Igbo.

Yes, Ikwerre have oil and some multinationals in their domain but they not indispensable. They will not go with the ijaws because those ones do not like them either.

Leave Don wanny and his Ogba people.

Those ones hate for Igbo, Ikwerre Igbo hate is child's play to compare to Ogba Igbo hate.

In Ogbaland, they don't sell lands to Ndiigbo. It's a community wide decision, borne out of deep seated resentment for Ndiigbo.

Don wanny isn't different from his Ogba people. His death was deserved and has nothing to do with Ndiigbo.
I was surprised he was in Enugu.

Ogba call us Isoma too. And they say it in condescending manner.
Yes, I'm in Ogba facebook forums. Nope! I'm not jobless. grin

The Ikwerre, ogbas and ekpeye people are the same people. Their educated ones didn't read about hatred in schools because they even show it more.

If we will ever make a head start towards development, we should stop fantasy and face facts.

Where i take fear Ikwere is the way Wike nearly finished that Igbo speaking Militant group of Don Wanny.

Even followed one of them to Enugu.

Okorocha had to step in to save them.

Now, wat stop Wike from doing same to his Ikwere or even Kalabiri Militant who are more in numbers?

The only problem I have with we igbos is our lack of a cohesive front. These people we love to romance see us as a side-chick at best. They will love lick the feet of others but try to form hardness when it comes to dealing with us.

I was stunned when I saw Wike licking the feet of sultan and other northern leaders. He doesn't see us the way we see him. But we are here chanting his name all over nairaland because he bears Wike.

Ndigbo should map their territory well and start doing something about creating a livable economic epicentre for us all because we don't have friends in this country. We can keep fighting ourselves till "thy kingdom come" but the present situation will still linger.

Why should I kill myself with a person who doesn't love me. I didn't birth anyone of them and I can't change their preference without looking like a beggar. I will really leave you to think of the possibility of bringing them into the fold rather than arguing with me why I didn't fight an army Ikwerre who were not interested in reading a single letter from my long manuscript.

Your experience.
Your badluck
Your business.

At this stage of my very existence, I have learnt to know what I can fight for and what I can just overlook. I was once a hardcore pro-nigeria before I graduated to pro-southern Nigeria. I also graduated from southern Nigeria to the SS/SE before I learnt the hard way and returned back to my village in Anambra to be team alaigbo now.

I have had better arguments and like every positive minded person, I thought everyone was like me until I found out that the direction which some of these neighbours want to ply isn't in consonance with what we want in alaigbo. So, it was better to stretch the hand of friendship from afar and stick to my hamlet.

If Ikwerre wants to join the rest of us, no one will stop them but if they are in denial, I think they will be better of in the arms of the ones.

Are we weak?

We igbos are only industrious when we chase money. We do not care about anything else if doesn't bring money. The kind of infrastructure that we get doesn't concern us. We only come online to pay lipservice and speak big big grammar.

If we really want to change things happening in the east, we can start the process. But we are too concerned about other things so we do nothing. Most of us here use this thread as a pass time not as a rallying point for a new Igbo nation.

To answer your question; we are not weak but we love to be stupid.

I didn't runaway. In fact I had to educate them on the issue and how funny their stories sounded. What you have to understand is that these guys have been programmed to hate us. The ones who don't hate us are like programmes that are unsuccessful. For you to rewrite their history and all of them accepting it will be extremely difficult.

If Tonto and Chinda did not tell u something, then u are sleeping.

Alot of the people running around with Igbo names married to Yoruba are actually Rivers and Delta.

If you really want to sleep well at night, just forget about Ikwerre. Some of them who are IPOB members were preaching about unity with us but they weren't having it. They hauled insults on them and were advising the admin to remove them. These were adults in their 30's and 40's. A woman said if her daughter brings an isoma to the house, she's going to disown her. I was very surprised at the level of hatred shown by them.

Just forget about those people, we can do better with better alliances than those guys. They even believe they are better because of the prince story they added to their history. They were really hilarious most times though.

One Igbo lady was trying to defend us because she married from Ikwerre. They lambasted her there to the extent that they insulted the husband of the lady. They said the man lacks quality to have married an isoma like her. I got annoyed and left the group.

I only joined the group because I was trying get some info about their toward alaigbo. Those guys really have strong allegiance to the Bini kingdom and it's history. To me, Ikwerre will be difficult to bring back and we should dust our sleeves and move on.

I joined an Ikwerre group on Facebook. The way they took turns in insulting Igbo, you will be forced to slap one of them. Some even said they prefer to marry Hausa than marrying Igbo from southeast.

I am happy that some of you know how to praise the Igbo spirit. I am also happy that some of you know how to critic the Igbo people.

The only problem I have with you all is that none of you have done anything about the present situation we are finding ourselves now in Nigeria.

None of you are saying anything about the primaries today.

None of you are saying anything about the political exclusion of our people in the workings of this country. I know we don't want to be part of it but gaining nothing is next to stupidity.

None of you are talking about the lack of new things happening in the region.

You all are here, brandishing your grandiloquent use of Oxford dictionary to outdo the next person's stand about our people.

None of you are seeing the infrastructural decay in the east. None of you are seeing that we are at the mercy of the people we choose to chastise. They are going to decide who will rule us, the kind of security we will have, the kind of project we will be having and other things in our own land. Those are not our problems, our problem is "who is igbo" and "who isn't". So much braggadocios over nothing. A complete third word region doing nothing about its people.

Bloody internet Jews!

You have to be friends with someone and not everyone. We should not because of what people perceive about us every quarter to alienate ourselves from everyone. The ibaka seaport will in no small measure increase our export, manufacturing and market capacity more than the other two options we have presently and it will be at a lower cost.

We need to start wooing these neighbours and form a symbiotic relationship with them. We keep hammering on industrialisation but we haven't taken time to look at our options very well. Abia state is set to be one of the biggest manufacturing grounds in the near future if we can start doing things right. It has a huge external economies of scale only behind Anambra state at present in the southeast.

That Ibaka seaport project is a PPP project involving the federal government, state government and private investors. We can work on the private investors so that we will be able to gain from it when it starts running.
Politics / Re: . by Purehuman(m): 3:56pm On Sep 23, 2018
The Obuaku river is small and we should stop all these emotional stuff. Except you will expand the river, the amount ships alaigbo will be needing will supersede the carrying capacity the Obuaku river can offer us. We should stop acting as if we are Madagascar that's just going to stay alone and play developmental politics.

I was thinking that we should be plotting possible ways of cornering Akwa ibom seaport to our advantage and possibly link it with our industrial cities and river ports. I am of the opinion that even if we will use other river ports, the deep seaport will generate lots of advantage for us in terms of heavy imports.

We have been wooed countless times in terms of this port. The Hausa people have started thinking of linking the port directly to the north through rail. The only point of contact with the port is Abia and these people have still connected the Abia rail straight to Maiduguri. We are keeping quiet and not working of feasible plans of cornering the port and it's industrial city. So that it will be our economic outstation incase things work out in the state. Akwa ibom people do not have that bad feeling against us unlike the rest of SS tribes, so let's work on this available window for our use.
