We are not keying into Akwa ibom seaport project. We are all here complaining about Lagos. If we can partner with the company building the seaport and we get 50years waiver from the port, this will push industrialisation alot. I am seeing Akwa ibom in the big picture soon. We need to outrun every other competitor now before we start from behind. |

When I was young, I had three neighbours; one from Agbor, the other from kwale while the third from Igbuzo. We were the only one from Anambra state then in the early 90s. Without any form of equivocation, these people speak Igbo with my parents in the compound and they keep say "Igbo people ehn" and "those Igbo people ehn". I was really stunned because I heard them speak my language and i could understand their language very well too. I was always asking my dad how are these people not igbos if they speak Igbo. He will just laugh and say I shouldn't mind them. What I am trying to drive at is that these people really at that time didn't want to be tagged Igbo. They made it obvious with their dealings with us. The only thing they said that came close to being called Igbo is the tag Delta-igbo. There is this denial and it pained the hell out of me because in some situations, I believed we could have shared the pains of being chastised as Igbo people but they keep saying they ain't igbos. We felt the pains alone but it didn't stop us from being what we are at the moment. The question is, can this trend be changed? Can these people find themselves back in the fold or are they gone forever? We need to get these facts right and being dragged back or our secrets being shared to their neighbours so that they will be seen as loyal to them too. We need to know, as at 2018, are you Igbo or are you Benin? We need to come to conclusion of this. I know that it is difficult supporting the southeast since we do not have power and we don't have oil as much as the people you guys might support. But as you all can see, the people in power do not measure up and the oil isn't the case anymore. You need to align yourselves now with the people who truly cares for you and ready to take bullets like 1966 progrom. I met a young man earlier this month, his name is Emeka. I said "Oh my Igbo Brother", he said he isn't Igbo but from Ndokwa. I just kept shut and treated him like he wanted to be treated. I brought the hand of brotherhood but he refused. I wish he had done the opposite but he didn't acknowledge me. This is a real problem and it's better we treat it as such. 7 Likes 1 Share |

My people, I am one of the people who loves talk and do. I have sent a mail to FOTO, a subsidiary of Gettyimages this morning. I told them that the southeast Nigeria has passed the era of war torn villages with underdevelopment but has made great leaps in technology, education, commerce, tourism and real estate. Though I branded myself as a brand Specialist, I asked them to reach me for updates on new development and exciting pictures of our people. We move only upwards. I am waiting for their replies. Their mail is: editor.foto@gettyimages.com. You are free to bombard them with photos. Company name is: Pan-igbo Forum. 14 Likes 1 Share |

When are we having a supreme Igbo conference where all igbos from all parts of Nigeria will be in attendance. This will be shown in all TV stations around the region plus south south. We need real talk and most importantly we need these constructive conversation come to limelight. There are many things we need to remedy in the east. We can't be having such intelligent posts here go into oblivion. We need to start expanding our focus to something more fruitful and forceful. We are gathering so much here and we are letting time throw them away. We need to leave this country behind and fashion our own route. We need to create our own image. Even as Hong Kong and Singapore are outlets of China, they have their own identity. I am impressed by the people who have been sitting close their laptops and phones to share real information. You all are the most patriotic set of people the universe have ever known. I know we are getting there but we all need to stand up. We need to start making our marks like Ojukwu, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nnamdi Many, Sam Mbakwe have done. We need to create a new strand of progressive awareness in the minds of ndigbo. We need to start fighting a real economic and developmental war. I plead to you all, this is not the Igbo land we want to leave for our children. The one that's been harassed by soldiers, the ones that are running to Lagos for jobs, the ones that are feeling that Igbo land doesn't have anything to offer, the ones that think village means a den of witches and evil uncles. No, we must leave an Igbo land that can boast of a standard educational system, the best health care system in Africa, a thriving commercial capital, a working judicial system, a power industry that can power thousands of industries, a big ICT hub, an agricultural village, a blissful entertainment industry and many more. We are a people with strength of lions and a skin of crocodile. We have been able to work through tornado and burns and though we have been burnt severally and wounded, we have come out in victory and our scars turned to beautifying tattoos. Let us have come together and have a strong discussion on how we can move ahead of Nigeria and Africa as a whole. We can make a difference, brothers. 4 Likes |

I think it took place around 20th last year and after that we did not hear anything from the organization. I even sent a mail that i want to be a participant of the commission and try to put my effort the bringing bigger development into the region, I could not get a reply either. I do not know how they communicate with their members but they have not been active in the cyberspace for some time now. Nigeria has one of the worst health sector development in the world with 6 people dying every second in the country. The only saving grace we have in this country is the ability of giving birth more than the deaths. With an average of 28years, the country is gradually seeing the end of people living in their old age in the country. This health infrastructural deficit has opened the leeway for we igbos to invest heavily in the health sector of the country. If we readily build a health city that will cater for the high population of sick people in the country. Nigeria has the following statistics based health related issues in the country: 1. 21 million people with mental issues in the country. 2. 3.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS in the country. 3. Increasing number of cancer patients in the last few years compared with the last decades. 4. Very low access to pipe borne water in the 21st century. 5. Doctor to patient ratio is very low in the country. With 1 doctor to 200 patients per time. 6. Very low number of specialized doctors in the country. There are boundless opportunities in the health sector of the country which when taken seriously can generate billions of dollars through patronage and WHO aids in the region. If we build a health city where teaching and practicing of medicine take place, we will be able to have a greater amount of older generation, more money, better life expectancy, better homes and our culture will be better preserved. 2 Likes |

The only time we can be serious to build a sustainable infrastructure in igboland is if the diaspora (within Nigeria but outside igboland and outside the country) come together and decide to drive the development of the region. The number of people we lose yearly due to migration has cost us low revenue from income taxation and other value added tax. We are currently battling with so much and there is this much the governors of each state can do to push for development in the region. As I have earlier highlighted in this thread, we need a uniform purpose through conquering the political system of igboland and re-energizing our socio-cultural groups i.e umunna, igbo meetings in diaspora, age grade meetings, religious societies and other groups that can easily draw more igbo monies into the east. We also cannot over-emphasize the importance of education in the future development of the region. Igbos spend nothings less than 5billion naira every term in schooling their wards outside igboland. Those monies can make a difference in the development of the region too. We are losing so much in this country and we are doing nothing about it. 4 Likes |

Handsomegod: The quest for independence will always face stiff opposition if the world is seeing another third world country begging UN for yearly aids. We need to work on ourselves and propagate our identity so that we can be easily heard. Ndigbo do not have a single media company that even showcases us to the world. We are at best local champions. We have one of the least tourist attractions in the country. No one is coming from outside to check anything about us even archeologists! When you are fighting a bigger person, you either have a bigger weapon or have a bigger brother to help you out. The conclusion of what I am saying is this, we should be part of the electoral system that will generate s system that will push for the Igbo agenda. An Igbo nation will be birthed through series of processes that will take years to accomplish and coupled with crazy behaviours our neighbours keep showcasing, we will get Biafra. Nature is gradually dividing us and if we catalyse nature, it might come faster than we plan it. 3 Likes |

nnamdijonathan: ANPP was also irrelevant while it kept coming second in the presidential elections. A party or organisation can only progress through hardwork and not the number of top politicians in it. If we can work on the grassroots again and maybe work with a bargain with IPOB, we can get the numbers. If they find out the people are behind APGA, they will naturally want to join because they will want to win elections. The truth is that, we don't want them in APGA. |

We have to check the permutations very well before December. Will PDP win next election? We are not going to vote based on who will change this country but who will win easily from the look of things. That person, good or bad, we are going to meet so that we can meet them with our offers. We have been playing third fiddle all these years, it's time to be smarter. |

Handsomegod: That will be the best way forward because we have always played the third feather in all political parties we have joined. Even in the so-called PDP, our people seem not to be powerful in it while the northerners and south south people have taken the whole juicy positions. We need to re-identify ourselves and regroup for us to make any headway in this contraption. |

nnamdijonathan: As you see APC winning elections in the west even with the opposition having better candidates, APGA will win elections in the east because even unintelligent politicians will look intelligent under a platform that has a working template. This political force is for us to get something from the political side of our people and always make our interests heard in the federal level. Our major aim is to get an atmosphere that can make us thrive easily without any stumbling block from the centre and also get a piece of the cake from the centre too. Our major source of funds for development will come from the people and that's where the other options will come into play. |

I am not a member of the party, I am only of the opinion that we can start by political coup d'etat of all our politicians. This is to enable us recreate a working template for our development. 1 Like |

Afam4eva: First of all, we wait them out. In the coming months we will start seeing who will edge the other out. All we need is pay attention. Secondly, we are not going to be APC nor PDP in 2023 because those big regions will want to use our heads. We will need to revive APGA. The power of a party is in the number of people who supports them. If APGA can carry the grassroots again through our collective contribution, they will be powerful come 2023. Thirdly, we are going ask ourselves these questions; are we going for the presidency or we are going for projects completion in the region and favourable policies for us. We need to know which we can get easily and which has a better advantage in the long run for our people. 1 Like |

Afam4eva: I am of no support of APC but for us to chase out these crop of underdevelopers, we need the political power and will to do so. You cannot arm-twist the government of any these states if u don't control the house of assembly. We need to take total control of how things are done and not manage what comes to us. For our immediate survival instinct, let's not vote against who will eventually win. Let's give them votes so that we can be considered and a number of life-saving project be done in the east first. Are we not tired of the incessant accidents along the eastern expressways? We should bring those ones as our beginners package to first save lives and businesses. Even if it is to give them 5million votes, no problem. Second step is to decamp enmasse to the preferred party that will usher in the new regime, APGA. It is our party and if we infiltrate the party without any form of pity, we will kick out every rival party in the region and Igbo land in general. Third step, we are now going to lay down our own laws and interests that will push for our own agendas. It is either we push for Igbo presidency or we keep pushing for projects that will develop, open and secure our region better. Fourth step, any member coming out of that party for any political position will sign an agreement that his constituency allowance and a percentage of all his benefits will be given to SEDC (we must have created then) for the development and expansion of the Igbo economic space. The SEDC, APGA and in conjunction with socio-cultural organisation will come together and levy igbos on some major projects in the region that will further expand the economy. I can't say too much but if we put our heads to this, we can make a difference. 2 Likes |

I find it difficult to understand our ways of ridiculing those who are calling out our deficiencies. If we are not up to date about the Igbo plan, let someone start educating us. I find it funny that the so called Igbo warriors know how to shut anyone with dissimilar view with what the majority have in this thread. Now, if anyone can educate me, an illiterate of primary 6, what is the Igbo plan come next four years? Note: I have been reading this thread since page one and I have not seen any single plan and we keep insulting people here because we all have big heads. The people we love to insult and parade that are holding us back are working tirelessly to maintain power and economic interests in their region and we keep saying those guys are stupid. I know one thing for sure, APC will win next election and it's either we rally round APGA so that they can come to an agreement with these folks or we go apolitical and vote 60-40 in the next election to be in the safe side. If we want to get our pound of flesh back from these guys, we must learn how to camouflage and get the political power to change things ourselves. We are just here calling out everyone when some people are already laying blocks for 2023. The whole game of who is Igbo and who isn't won't matter when Okowa is thrown out 2019. The whole game of which tribe is bad and which is good won't matter when the west and the north keep cornering most projects to their domains while we keep waiting for Biafra. The whole game of APC being the worst party will not matter when they keep rotating power between them and we keep crying like babies and coming here to create phantom development for ourselves. I am going to be an idiot, stupid, a fool and most probably a non-igbo because I am coming with an unpopular view. Someone will come with sweet English to cover our senses again because he knows more than reality. The reality is real and none of you can do anything about it. 2019 is all about interests. It's either your interest is immediate or its futuristic. It is better you start playing now or else, we will be giving these men another 8years to get all the over 20trillion budgets that will be budgeted for the next 4years. 2 Likes |
