There are 3 factors to be considered here:

Time, Career and Finance.

Any woman who is into any form of business either self employed or working for a firm wouldn't have time for heavy make up or spend much on heavy make up unless she has been made which take years to achieve that. In which she would have grown enough to be called a woman not a girl anymore.

Career wise it's bad: Having heavy make up on in a firm or an enterprise could steer up controversies and hatred from colleagues, people would think she is seeking unnecessary attention thus leading to bad reputation.
If she's self employed, trust me, her focus won't make her spend unnecessarily or have time for irrelevant stuffs. Linda Ikeji is an Old lady who has worked so hard to be where she is now, had it been she spent her time with ephemeral issues like the one Op pointed out, she wouldn't be as made as she is now.

Finance: Every business person knows that, finance is very important in any business, why would a reasonable business lady spend her time and money on materials that wouldn't better her business?


The Op is right because her point can definitely be used to spot Broke ladies and Gold diggers.

I have girls like that as friends, their phones aren't more than 60k,while their Jobless counterparts would use IPhone 6+ and spend much on irrelevant things, well, like make ups. It's simple: they are broke and wanna score made men and that's an attribute of a broke, Gold digger.

Besides, that is not the only sign I've deduced to my assertion, she once told me that she knows I only want her cookie that she hopes I won't run after I've gotten what I want, and so many other signs I wouldn't wanna bore you with.
Her actions sometimes make me think she's pretty much interested but the issue I have with her is that she doesn't pick my calls most of the time and when she picks up, she'd give me this attitude like she doesn't wanna see me but whenever we see, her actions are always opposite of how she reacts to my calls or chats.
