MS is fast becoming history for me, thankfully. Just getting headaches every now and then. The oza room activities have picked up too No shopping yet as I am waiting to be sure of gender to get shopping ginger.

January mamas for supernatural delivery. How's everyone doing? Trust all MS/spitting has gone and we are enjoying our second trimester. Any noticeable bumps yet? Baby kicks/flutters? Anyone started shopping yet? anyone else gotten TT injection shots? Anyone been able to check baby's gender?


I got my TT booster shot at my last doctors visit....I'd almost forgotten how uncomfortable that injection was, the injection spot irritated and itched me for almost 3days afterwards. The gyne did a scan to check baby but refused to tell me the gender even though my LO had legs open. He said the gender is either male or female so he's not bothered ...Im not sure if it was the bum I was seeing or the genitals but I didn't see balls so hopefully God has answered my prayers but I'd confirm at my next scan at or before 20weeks.

Nicoleswizzi how are you doing? Hope you're still observing bed rest and your LO is doing fine?
Iamhistreasure how are you and LO doing now? Are you still on progesterone? I hope the bleeding has stopped and you both are doing great.

Unfortunately i am no longer in the race. Scan done some weeks ago indicated no fetal pole but with gestational sac and subsequent scan weeks after diagnosed molar pregnancy. A suction curettage was done immediately after the confirmed scan diagnosis, the placenta and fetal tissues removed were sent for histology and analysis to confirm the diagnosis. Results from the histology indeed confirms its molar pregnancy luckily for me it's a partial molar pregnancy (2 sperms fertilizing an egg).

I am sure some may know a thing or two on the rigours and risks associated with molar pregnancy, so as expected i have been advised not to get pregnant for atleast 6 month.

Well i took the whole experience in good fate, at the moment i am primarily focused on my baby girl(she is 8 months old) while also working from home etc. I will Start trying again in January. I believe strongly by God's grace i will be part of team November 2021.

The main cause of mine was lack of sleep...so I’ve been consciously trying to sleep earlier but I use paracetamol 2tabs or one tab of Tylenol pm (it has sleeping aid)
Try and find out the cause of the headaches tho...and I don’t think you’re supposed to exceed 6tabs a day

Thanks! I will try. Its 1:14am and my eyes are still wide open...I really want to sleep but can't. I had a webinar at work for about 5 hours so maybe too much screen time caused the headache today. Paracetamol has eased it a bit tho. Thanks again.

2 x 3 daily... Two tablets for morning, two afternoon and two for night. Drink enough water, rest well, off d light when sleeping, stop pressing phone or watching TV for a long time. Hope these helps.

Good thing the nausea is easing off, ginger really helped me during those first few weeks.
The sonographers wouldn’t tell you unless they’re absolutely sure so they don’t get into trouble if the gender is different from what they previously said
I’ve only just finished my progesterone inserts so ozza room activity hasn’t fully resumed

Cappo, nawao. Just like you, my nausea has eased and its headaches now. What did you use for yours please? Also, does anyone know the maximum tablets of paracetamol I can take per day?

Cappo, present oh. My night shenanegans is definitely fading...I feel stronger and I am controlling nausea/vomitting with the ginger my mum loaded in my kitchen and the Metoclopramide given to me in the hospital. I registered for antenatal 3 days ago and got my first TT shot too. I told hubby that I felt a fluttery movement in my tummy a few days ago and he did not believe as he thinks its too early! So happy you are affirming it

By the way, I am with you on the gender curiosity...during my scan 3 days ago I was asking the sonographer if he could not just TRY and do the amebo for me I am jealousing your oza room energy oh. It's the last thing on my mind these days as I am still taking much effort to even keep my food down.

My bp is fine, at least the last time I checked.....my main problem is insomnia and I think it's the cause of the headaches.

Awww! So sorry. Please rest as much as possible. Also are you checking your bp regularly? For me, I am still having nausea and throwing up on some evenings. Can't wait for it to stop.

No it doesn't require prescription. You get it at any pharmacy and it's taken all through your pregnancy.

As a firsttimer your bump might not start showing till about 18-20weeks.... depending on your weight/body type.
Ah, thank goodness I didn't know the fibroids were back, I would have been worried sick and that might have affected conception. The doctor i'm seeing to seems to have a lot of experience with fibroids in pregnancy so I feel confident but also trust in God for a smooth journey

I am plus-sized, so I imagine I would not show very early. Fingers crossed for the bump �� Trusting God for you too

Please what did you use to clear the patches? I’m 13weeks and I have them on my neck and face.
Also, I have been eating a lot lately and when I don’t I start having headache... should I be worried?

Initially used Daktarin (see photo attached) every morning and night. Then my mum gave me some of the facial scrub, cleanser and cream that were made for her routine use by one of her friends.

I envy your appetite oh. Haven't been able to keep anything down today. I don't think it's a cause for alarm...just eat small portions regularly since you have noticed the headache comes when you don't eat.

My cappo, I hail oh. Thanks for checking up on us. I am now 11 weeks gone and our MS patterns and symptoms are really similar. Also started with all day nausea/vomitting and now dealing with evening shenanegans...Like you, I don't eat anything after 6pm nowadays. Heartburn, bloating, food aversion, super painful breasts and mood swings have also dealt with me. Then I had these strange scaly patches building up all over my face but they are beginning to clear up with aggressive use of facial scrubs, cleansers and creams. As a first time mum, it has indeed been overwhelming, but like you said I am grateful to God for this gift. Massive twale to every mama who has experienced this at least once.

No bump for me yet. I keep checking to see my own and DH keeps laughing at me and saying there is nothing yet

Thankful that the fibroids did not get in the way of your Agenda 2021 Sounds like you are on top of things with the scans and prescribed progesterone suppositories. Please keep us posted.

Hmmm...I also do not support self medication. However, my doctor prescribed and administered quinine on me when I was admitted in the hospital for malaria last month...I was about 4/5 weeks pregnant then. Me and the pregnancy are perfectly fine. As far as quinine is prescribed for you by your Dr, it is safe in pregnancy.

People get worried when they don't get MS, I did too initially until I was assured all was well.

Sorry to burst your bubble momma but this isn't really correct. Every pregnancy is different even with the same woman. Vomiting doesn't assure baby is fine, some people go through pregnancy without vomiting. My first pregnancy I had absolutely no MS/heartburn/constipation or anything else that comes with pregnancy. It was smooth sailing all the way and my boy was fine.

Yes, of course I know everyone's experience is different and definitely did not mean that the baby is not fine if you are not vomitting. I have read several medical articles that described vomitting in pregnancy as a side effect of doubling HCG levels and great development of the placenta which is a good sign. Only referred to it to encourage her

please, i need advise on what to do. i am battling with vomiting, i eat knowing that 1 hour later, i will still throw up. it is exhausting cos right now i am in the office and very weak. i dont have a single strength and i just resumed from leave today. i have vomited like 5 times today. i am 10weeks gone.
please any advise on what to do or take will be highly appreciated

So sorry sis. I totally understand how you feel. I am also 10 weeks gone and was in your shoes 2 weeks ago. I tried to find specific triggers for the vomitting and also figure out what I could tolerate. For me, peppery food works best. Cold drinks and sucking on ice cubes has also helped me so far. You can also try eating food cooked outside your home but in a hygienic environment. Regarding the weakness, try sipping on lucozade boost and resting as much as you can...I had to take sick leave for 2 weeks to get myself back a little bit.

Looking at the bright side, vomitting assures you that your precious little one is developing well and things are in order. Sending you love and hugs

But that bitter taste may not go completely. It would now be an on and off something.
Even at 36 weeks plus I still get that bitter taste sometimes.

In all we pray it ends in praise, easy delivery to all of us.

Hope we are all doing great?

I am still in my first trimester (about 8 weeks) and I have this persistent bitter taste in my mouth...regardless of what I eat, it never goes. I was admitted in the hospital and treated for malaria about 3 weeks ago, so I know its not malaria. Please is this normal and are there any known home remedies I can use? It is really making me uncomfortable, making eating a chore and disrupting my sense of taste.

First time mum to be here! DH and I really got busy throughout the lock down Got my BFP last month and I am about 6 weeks gone now.

Already feeling overwhelmed as I was admitted in the hospital last week for malaria and only recently stopped throwing up everything I eat. In all, I am thankful for this gift that is growing within me and I could really use the support from this amazing thread.
