Nothing is free... Nigerian govt would have to pay for the "free" service... Even if the govt does not pay, it would mean indigenous companies like glo, visafone would lose customers and if indigenous companies lose customers it will lead to Nigerian losing their jobs...
If you did go through what i wrote you should have seen where i put it as, "almost free of Charge" meaning it is not totally free, like on facebook you can't view all pictures, stream or download videos and Audio files as well as going to any non-basic website using the freebasics. If you try to do any of those you get charged for crossing your bounds.
But you can go about any other aspect of the social platform.
And by the way, am using it right now to post this very comment. grin

I'm loving this guy every day, he is one single guy who revolutionises the face of the internet, influencing the lives of billions of people from around the world with his social platform facebook. He also came up with a great idea call Freebasics to get the internet to every part of the globe using drones to beam internet spectrum all over the world except in facebook ban countries such as China, here in Nigeria it is first piloted by airtel. The plan is to make Facebook and some selected websites such as Nairaland and Jobberman etc almost free of charge to access.

The last time he visited some time this year was for the launch of the Freebasics free internet here in Nigeria and was said to have met with top Nigerian internet gurus and top bloggers. Rumors has it that his current visit could be as a result of a launch of a facebook run Wi-fi hotspots project in lagos that will soon be replicated in other cities around Nigeria. And some are casting their radar beam to why he visit, that among his board of directors at facebook is a brilliant Nigerian who also happen to be his good friend.
RomanceRe: Leaked Conversation Between A Prostitute And A Client Will Leave You Speechless by Pylony(m): 5:59am On Aug 31, 2016
Fabulocity:
I'm still "speechful".

Everyone will come here and condemn the girl, while nothing will be said about the guy undecided.
The conversation was between a buyer and a seller, and why more emphasis were placed on the Seller (prostitute) was because she tends to hike her market selling price, i think this dollar matter should be the reason why.

grin grin Thank goodness for economic Repression Jare.

PoliticsRe: Economic Recession In Nigeria A Blessing – Utomi by Pylony(m): 4:23pm On Aug 30, 2016
Johnnyessence:
I want to thank, and appreciate the avengers for crumbling our oil sector. For so long our mis-leaders only converge to deliberate on resource sharing and allocation. The blowing up of oil pipe line and installations is now helping to remove scales from their eye's to see that a mono economy is doom.I am happy for this development because it will help the neglected sectors to grow.Believe it or not, Nigeria can survive without oil,and will certainly do better without oil. They should not only blow up the pipe line's, let them blow up the oil wells it's a blessing for the growth of other sectors.we have being waiting for this paradigm shift for a better economy.
Avenger or no Avenger, the sector has already lost its pass glory as the national Milk cow. A barrel of crude is now at about 30dollars some thing that use to sell at 100+

PoliticsRe: Akwa Ibom Women To Protest Unclad, So That God Will Punish FG by Pylony(m): 4:05pm On Aug 30, 2016
I still remember back then, when i talked about the ills of oil pipeline Bombings in the Niger Delta and how the environment would be polluted and degraded as a result, some Niger Deltan Militants here on NL attacked my opinion, one even call me Mr environmentalist for saying the truth. It's obvious now, they can clearly see what their mothers are about to do.
Why did they kept mute when their bomb loving son's were enjoying the views displayed from the mushroom flames of the bomb blast in the communities? They should rather go unclad in protest before their sons if they are really serious to see the end of the very predicament their sons cause the environment, Niger Deltans and Nigerians as a whole.
Tell your selves the truth, the oil companies are counting their loses nor did they or the government were responsible for any oil spillage from the bombs. Rather, the government has launch a clean up programme which the Evil Avengers who do not wish well for the Niger Deltans would not allow to kickoff as planned.

PoliticsRe: RE-IPOB Names Jonathan Kurubo As Leader, Lists Soyinka, Gana For Talks With FG by Pylony(m): 1:07pm On Aug 30, 2016
I only pity those who will carry them selves protesting over such rubbish. IPOB was created by desperado Politicians, realising that Kanu will not met up with their evil plans, they now sprouted up a new evil group to lead more youths to their early graves. Besides, we know that they are the same as their political arms-holding wing, the so called Avengers. The recent blowing of pipelines and other oil infrastructures in ND by the Avengers began not too long after IPOB group threating to start carrying arms-against the country. We've as well seen video footage, were an Avengeran criminal was displaying a Biafran flag behind him as he threaten the Nation and its leaders.

PoliticsRe: How Can One Legally Own Fire Arm In Nigeria? by Pylony(m): 12:31pm On Aug 30, 2016
khadaffi:
That's the painful part. Nigeria law does not recognize gun for protection of property. So you are not allowed to move with it. You have to be a hunter to own one or you can lie you are one just to get a license. Plus. those nonsense guns are what is permitted. What I see is that this is just a way of keeping the masses in check. Our elites are always afraid and they have guns regardless of what the law says.
In Nigeria laws are meant only for the masses.

Ahithophels aka afonjas wanted Kemi there as their own Iweala not minding she is not qualified...always dragging feet, fingers and phallic symbols with Igbos as if Igbos are their mate. You see them in Biaffran Invention thread doing the same. The kind of insults Igbos have received in this country cannot be expressed enough. The irony of all these is Igbos want to be left alone in their own country, these afonjas refused, they hide under One Nigeria...uneven playing field and marginalization, and propaganda to drag feet with Igbos.
When already its clear their is confusion in the tents of IPOB? You'll only end up like southern sudan.

Nigerians are always in a hurry to no where, we love to break the Laws of the land like this man who break traffic laws and pay with his life, most Nigerian deads due to mechanical accidents are as a result of human error, and failure to use safety gears at work places.
A good bike Helmet would have save his life but he thought FRSC officials were the number one enemies to his Okada job blinded by his ignorance to how important wearing one is, makes him the enemy of himself.
