If one can't live with the condition of the priest calling, one should leave. There are many ways to serve God not just in the priesthood...

Since you knw its not ever body that will have to get marry, then you should also agree that not every priest is meant to be keep away from getting his own family, quote or unquote it was never an obligation in the bible to be a celibate but a choice, to who ever finds it fit. The Catholic makes the decision for people when every man has the the will to decide how he or she works with God according to his or her capacity celibate or Married. And if not every Prophet of God was able to get married due to reasons best know to them, then it do not mean that celibate Prophets where made above all many others who did have families and still work with God effectively. Are you sayiny Jesus would support a man who will do away with his fatherly responsibilities just so as to become a priest, since you think Peter would have to let go of his responsibility as a husband and father to follow Christ?

May be you should go back and do the reading. The whole passage you quote, talk's about marriage, and it do not talk ill of one getting a family as evil as a clergy. By the way it is not only refering to one who keep to being a celibate to seek the face of God to be the only way to heaven! And just as it is in same 1COR 7:9, and it states, "But if they (PRIEST) cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with Passion". Thats why the catholic church need to open up its doors and windows, and allow those priest who want to Marry to do so, to avoid what we see happen with this single Priest out of many similar incidence. And stop forcing it down their throats as if Jesus ever forced it on any one or ever one.

Mind you there are many such cases in the catholic church, just do a little research and see lots of similar stories from around the globe. What do you expect, when the church set aside men and women away from enjoying "konji"? The bible never said that clergy omit be kept with out a wife or a Reverend sister the other way round not to start their families, it rather said that a clergy or Church worker begin his clergy work from within among his family members, Joshua said, "me and my household shall serve the lord".
The disciple Peter whom the catholic church call the first Pope was a married man as well, and it is clearly stated in the Holy bible when Jesus held his mother inlaw. Can you have a mother inlaw under your roof with out a wife? Here we have it, the church place that on the church clergy not Jesus or the bible giving such instructions, no wonder there was a time they were looking at if maybe to allow the priest to start a family or not. The catholic church should do the right thing, allow the priesthood to have families, families are a good thing and save the priest from committing secret sins as they call it, even though God is never against families.
