Edipet:Download WinRAR and follow this: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/unzip-file-using-winrar-53603.html Should be simple and straightforward enough. |
Do the SEO tasks very well and you can get $40 - $50 monthly. Decent side hustle sha. |
Technomics:Congrats and good luck. |
I understand your sentiments, but where do you think you're going to find a laptop for free. Not just for anything, but for programming. People are begging everywhere on social media everyday. ALX's curriculum is even fullstack and you're going to need a lot of programs if you want to scale through. Nobody will give you in this place unless they are your relatives. Some options: 1. Follow those tech influencers on Twitter religiously. They do post openings for free laptops every now and then. This Agbá Akin guy gave out free laptops some months ago. Low-end laptops tho. 2. Go on Nigeria's tech space on Twitter and pose as a female if you have to. If you don't want to pose, try and get a female friend that can help you. There are several programs that offer females free laptops to get into tech. I just saw one last week, but it has expired. Don't remember the name. I don't know why they don't do this for guys, who are every bit as desperate as the ladies. 3. Check out those online vendors that allow you to buy laptops on the condition of repaying after a couple of months. It's unfortunate, but nobody will give you something like this for free. I guess it's technically not impossible, but it's very unlikely. |
Who knows, but I've seen Asians selling their Pi for thousands of dollars on Twitter. Best to hold it and hope for the best rather than waste it on useless naira — unless you've been mining for years and have hundreds/thousands of Pi by this point. |
Don't do too many 7-day tasks as a beginner o, unless it's for SEO tasks. Cause it usually takes time to be approved and will make your temporary success rate low, and then you won't be able to do jobs for a while — until the tasks are rated successfully and your success rate goes back up. |
odinson1:No, sorry. I've never had to do that. |
LUAN1:Yeah, it's possible. My brother's HP Folio lasts around that amount of time cause it has suffered a lot of degradation. Between 2 to 3 hours. Although I personally wouldn't buy anything with less than 4 hours backup with the terrible light we generally have to deal with, it depends on your budget and circumstances sha. |
Thinkpads are generally good if you can get them. I have a foreign used T460, 8GB RAM with 256SSD and a core i7. Fast and the battery lasts for 7 to roughly 8 hours even with constant WiFi and watching videos. Got it for 180k+, but in Lagos though. There's a couple that don't come with keyboard light, so watch out for that. |
Fremantle:Happy new month. I don't attempt tasks like that again. I tried three times and all were fruitless. The first one, the website didn't quite get to the KYC stage no matter how much I tried. Like a perpetual loading phase that didn't end. The second one, my NIN didn't work after I submitted it. They also asked for a face caption, but I didn't do that cause the NIN wasn't going. This was for an app, so I just uninstalled it. The third and final one, another app, the NIN did work but then they started asking for a face caption and driver's license which I didn't have. You could always just try it; I don't think anything terrible will happen at least, lol. |
Fremantle:Like seriously. I got $40 and they just removed a whole $8 as commission. That's without taking into account that Airtm will remove around $1 o ![]() Even other foreigners are complaining about the high rate. But this is still the best beer money platform I've come across so far. Kudos to the OP. ![]() |
Seems like the website wants to change their name to SproutGígs. Make them sha no spoil anything for there ![]() Their 20% commission still seems too high sha. |
Please, is it possible to register on Binance and buy crypto with a virtual credit card? Whether for HODL or regular trading. If not, which reliable crypto platforms accept virtual credit cards? Asking because I remember trying to register on Coinbase in June with my credit card, but it didn't work since our government has too much wahala. How do you guys bypass the current restrictions abeg. |
Not that I'm really a programmer, but I've seen Indians and other Asians on Twitter getting remote frontend jobs with projects and designs that are honestly not any better than what the OP has. They just do a Udemy bootcamp and put generic projects on their portfolio and they get remote jobs. I mean, stuff like calculators and random quote generators. Sometimes, I see amazing web apps from Nairalanders and I wonder how they're not as fortunate in their job search. The thing is that they always make sure to learn DSA and advise their followers to do the same. So I think that's the most important thing for programmers first and foremost. People with apparently subpar frontend skills are getting jobs out there with DSA. |
There are, but they are rare. In my place of service (a ministry), the men openly admit to cheating and most ladies there don't see anything wrong with it as long as the man is still taking care of them. Both the corpers and the workers. I was really surprised at how casually they laughed it off. But even if a lot of women see openly faithful men, they will be deemed as boring or unexciting partners anyway. Bigdicck:You get am. According to research studies, Nigerian women are in the top five most unfaithful partners worldwide. When men are cheating, they are obviously cheating with some dating/married women. ![]() |
Borntosmoke:Save it with a platform like Cowryrise if you don't want to be tempted into spending it anytime soon. You can set a timeframe for whenever you think you will need the money (ex: 2 weeks, 6 months, etc.)... but you won't be able to withdraw the money until your set timeframe elapses. For example, if you set it to one month, you won't be able to withdraw the money until one month has passed. They'll also add a very small amount of money for you as a bonus. It's a good platform for people that don't know how to save their money. |
elpochas:Same, I even looked forward to it more than Superman and Ben 10 on STV back then. ![]() Other favorite was Powerpuff Girls. |
Savagr:Ah, you get mind o. ![]() I don't even qualify as a beginner yet — planning to get a laptop in September hopefully — but I can tell you that you can't learn CSS frameworks and JavaScript in just one week now. Have you downloaded a doc or ebook of JS before? That thing almost made me cry in the first two weeks of reading it. Got better along the way, but still looks very very hard and scary to me. I'm still looking at it today. You'll definitely need a couple months of constant practice to get comfortable with JS alone, not to speak about its other frameworks. I think you should focus on one aspect of development and try to download one of those structured Udemy courses, so you can stay more disciplined. |
I thought I was the only person missing iLegendd. The guy was so smart and funny with his cruise format ![]() I'm not a redpiller but I also prefer his posts on women to the other redpill threads I've stumbled upon here. |
Fremantle:Yeah, you should be able to send and withdraw smaller amounts. Yeah, use P2P for the black market rate. Official exchange rate no help anybody abeg. ![]() |
Fremantle:Really? I use Airtm and they haven't asked me for any identity verification for my transactions yet. I thought they only make it compulsory when you want to make transactions of over $1000. Not for smaller amounts like tens of dollars (which is what I deposit). I only have NIN as well but I've been making transactions without uploading that yet. |
Fremantle:They just approved it yesterday after I posted here. I used that NIN card, laminated sha. |
Fremantle:Lmao, don't mind them. The jobs are mentally stressful because of how long they want you to stay on their site. But technically easy. I avoid the jobs with codes or timers tho. |
These guys have started asking for government ID before you can withdraw, and na only NIN I get sef. |
She may or may not stop eventually, because it's a subconscious thing. I was sucking my lower lip until my junior secondary years and I could never control it. I didn't even realize it anytime I did so, unless someone alerted me to it. It stopped when I was close to entering senior secondary and I don't know how. It's not her fault sha. |
Savagr:Yeah, maybe someone knowledgeable in the house can help us out. |
I don't have a laptop yet but I've been taking notes when reading through docs or watching videos on mobile. It has been more convenient for me, personally, so I'll also continue with it. Also, I want to ask what kind of ID these foreign companies accept from Nigerians? Like, is NIN acceptable for them or is it just the usual trio of PVC, driver's license and international passport. |
qtguru:Hi, where do you find resources to learn how to build themes and plug-ins for WordPress and the others? The courses at Udemy don't seem to have been updated from a couple of years back and I've heard they're outdated. |
BoredBerry:You've put it well. I really hate how Nigerians leave everything to God. Atheists and non-believers in our world are filthy rich. I'm not saying one doesn't need God's favor in life, but we're way too sentimental with religion. Any little thing, on God, on God. Part of the reason our country is in a terrible state is because we leave everything to religion instead of taking action. I'm also guilty of that, sometimes. That's why some foreigners mock us for making churches while they're building infrastructure. Same churches where pastors are scamming Nigerians of their hard-earned money. ![]() I've seen the way Nigerians treat Whites in factories and online spaces like Twitter, and yes, we also subconsciously see ourselves as inferior to the Whites, yes. Whether we want to openly admit to it or not. |
