GREATIGBOMAN:I thought users that buy reviews on Upwork get banned. |
Chai, it's real o. Somewhere here in Abeokuta where I'm doing my service, a loaf which was #400 less than two months ago is now #700. The thing really shocked me. I've stopped visiting that bakery. Funny thing is that some places haven't hiked their prices from #400 ~ #500 yet. I don't even understand but I'm patronizing those ones for now. |
adeotiabdulaziz:Hmm, okay o. For WhatsApp? |
adeotiabdulaziz:Oh, okay but I'm still just in the "interested" phase and I don't have a laptop yet. So, yeah. |
adeotiabdulaziz:Saw this, but confused on how to reply. Wetin you wan talk about tho? |
Lmao, I miss the trollish nature of 4chan. ![]() Can be quite a toxic place, though. |
ObaKlaz:Na this one dey vex me pass, to be honest. In my current place of service, a girl asked me the same and started shaking her head at me as if I was an alien. They usually think we're creepy people living a boring or unfulfilling life. Why must I go to a cinema to enjoy a movie when I can do so with my phone? Meanwhile, I've experienced the extroverted lifestyle in my senior secondary school (when friends always told me to go out with them) and I can confidently say I much prefer the introverted lifestyle. There's also one very quiet girl where I serve. She said she's been like that since she was little. If you see how both the workers and corpers disturb her ehn, always telling her to change herself because her personality is not good. They just think we're abnormal in a bad sense. They used to bother me like that but they don give up for my matter. ![]() A lot of extroverts are very understanding of us, though. |

Well, I didn't mention everything that makes me (think I am) introverted. Many other traits mentioned here by other users have always applied to me as well. Pretty much the generic/classic traits of introverts you can find everywhere. I simply mentioned a passing memory from my childhood to contribute to the thread question of whether introversion can be an in-born trait. I tried the extroverted lifestyle in late secondary school when my friends would cajole or convince me to hang out with them, and I simply find that it doesn't really work for me. Not that I found it boring per se, but certainly not 'satisfying' if you can get what I mean. Sometimes even annoying. For another example, anytime the guys at my current place of service convince me to hang around, I always end up feeling mentally drained. |
Shanks has a daughter? Is this movie canon to the manga? |
Funny thread. You can use the money to easily get your spec anytime, lmao. First thing most ladies want in a man is wealth, even though most of them would like to skirt around this fact. |
airsaylongcome:Yes o, I've heard about some of these especially in freelancing. Even if it's Amazon KDP or ordinary writing of articles, I'm aware that Nigerians make six/seven figures monthly from them. I'm just trying to keep an open mind to several job opportunities in different fields. |
tensazangetsu20:Thank you for this post... My dad with 20+ years of experience in journalism is earning lower than my older brother, who has been a graphic designer for just a couple of years and he's not even doing remote work yet. He started with my dad's old laptop back then. I don't think we should discourage anyone cause you don't know their circumstances. There's nothing wrong with going into a profession for the money, provided you have the appropriate mindset to succeed and the willingness to put in the hard work. If you discourage them now and they don't make it in another line of work, they'd start regretting that they didn't try to get into tech (or any other line of work they were initially interested in) because of what internet people told them. It's true that success is never guaranteed, but whether it ends in success or failure, let everyone be responsible for themselves. Especially in this country where things are so tough and no improvement in sight. Just today, in an office where I'm doing my service, a worker there was talking to this girl and told us that some of his colleagues in university are hitting it big now cause they seriously invested in various sides of tech back then. He didn't do so because he was more invested in the conventional education pricess. Meanwhile, they haven't paid him a few months' salary as of today and he's barely getting along. He's really regretting it now. Like the head of their department actually gathered us corpers and advised us to learn in-demand online skills because there's no jobs in Nigeria today. She also revealed to us that one of her sons is in Europe today because of this remote work thing (I don't know what skill he learned though). Although I have a 2:1 in Accounting and planning to write ICAN after my service next year, I'm seriously thinking about learning this as well because of the state of our country, although definitely still going to learn Excel and QuickBooks for my course this year when I get a laptop. Me personally, I looked into a few online skills back in 2019/20 on the advice of my older brother (graphics, video editing, and programming). Programming was the only one I actually bothered downloading several videos on, but I eventually stopped because of no laptop. I didn't even know about this apparent high pay thing for programmers back then, just until April this year. I don't know what will work out for me but I just don't want to put all my eggs in one basket in this country, lol. Whatever case, good luck to all of us. |
Hannania:Thank you very much. I won't be able to save up for a laptop until around September tho since I'm currently doing my national service; I hope I can still register around that period if I'm still interested in this? |
Hannania:Hi, just wondering why you mentioned August for acceptance. Do they take several months to accept applicants into their program? |
^Both of you above should read earlier in the thread and find some info. Don't sweat about the details cause you'll naturally get better with time. No one really helped me out when I started in February and I cashed out $45 today for a month's work (not counting their silly 20% commission rate). Would have easily been $60+ with better circumstances. Just be patient and diligent with it. |
myrygurl:Well yeah, I simply mentioned decades as kind of an extreme example. Honestly, I think anything between 3 - 10 years is more than enough for people to start falling out of love based on too much exposure to each other. Inevitably, fighting will contribute to it because there is no couple that does not quarrel. From what I've seen in Nigeria, most married couples squabble on a daily basis. Once the honeymoon stage of the relationship is over, that's when the real test begins. And not many people can legitimately pass that. As someone said above, many couples are in unhappy marriages today and only societal backlash, or maybe consideration for their children, keep them from opting out of the marriage. Foreigners like the Americans are actually honest with themselves and their feelings, which is probably why they have one of the highest global divorce rates (not counting their high population number as well). |
realunclej:I saw similar advice based on the user's personal experience in a Reddit thread; "How to actually learn CS." Thanks. I'll keep my mind on this in case I actually get into programming sooner or later. |
Are there any long-term couples that don't eventually fall out of love? For those that don't fall out of love in marriage, I really admire them and wonder how they do it. I don't think it's possible to feel the same spark, butterflies and infatuation with one person for decades, whether male or female, especially with all of the inevitable stress and quarrels that come with staying with a single person for extensive periods. Hence why cheating is absurdly common (at least partially). At some point, you'd probably just get too... 'used' to your partner. Or maybe they are conflating fondness, dedication and commitment with love? Not opposed to the idea of marriage, by the way. |
Lol, clickbait. ![]() Anyways, for CCTV... I think so. I don't really plan on getting into it, but during my orientation service, I and some others met a man who is into CCTV installation as part of our SAED. According to him, he has never used his university certificate because of that skill. I don't remember much of the details, but I know he claimed to earn between six to seven figures per month and the money he spends on fuel alone is more than most graduates with office jobs earn on a monthly basis. He has his own business which he showed to us and many proteges, who are doing well for themselves. Honestly, I was very surprised at his success rate. I think it's probably good if you know your way around it and how to network with others. You could start learning it on YouTube if you want, or somewhere else if you have the means and resources. |
Good question. I have a very early memory of my childhood, when I was in KG 2. Throughout the first day, I didn't talk to anyone or play with anyone. I've also had short-sightedness since I was little and I couldn't see the writings on the board, but I didn't tell anyone — including the teacher. I was just mute throughout the day and slept off at some point. A neighbor of mine later came to pick me up and told the teacher that I was always quiet like that. All through my school years and now during my service, it's been the same o. So I guess I would say I was born introverted. There's definitely many people that become introverted due to certain situations or circumstances, though. |
realunclej:So I'm just wondering; by the basics and the logic of programming, are you talking about the lessons taught in those courses/resources like Harvard's CS50, CS61A, OSSU, etc., and their related books? I'm somewhat interested in programming and I've heard the best way is to learn from those resources before/while learning actual programming languages. |
Imagine criticizing a woman for flaunting her natural hair, which actually looks perfectly okay by the way. ![]() Africans want her to use the hair of foreigners to enhance her beauty and still claim to be more beautiful than the whites. Lmao ![]() She looks gorgeous as she is. |
Seems some women think men are entitled to cheat as well. I was on a bus the other day, and I heard a woman complaining to the driver about her young friend leaving a rich young man because he simply cheated on her. According to the angry lady, her friend was foolish to do so because all men are naturally cheats and are inclined towards doing so cause it's apparently an inherent trait of ours. Funny enough, the married bus driver did not attempt to argue with her. ![]() |
etho0:Insensitive brother be that. Try and measure your thing when it's fully erect. You might be in the 'grower' category. There's guys on Reddit or other sexuality forums similar to what you've described, but with erect lengths of around five or six inches. And I've seen some who claim to be two inches flaccid, but seven or eight inches erect. You could also try stretching and jelqing for a year or two, I guess. There's anecdotal evidence of dudes with 4-inch erect length gaining one or two inches with constant exercising. IDK anything about surgery, but good luck with whatever you decide. |
Finesse1st:Just green light, as in, girls do not approach you and confess sometimes? I'm an introvert like you and girls have given me green light and also told me they like me several times after I didn't make any move, including one that was really pretty. And I don't even think I'm particularly good-looking. It's normal for them to play hard-to-get, as they do not want to appear cheap. Even if they ignore your existence or pretend as if they don't remember your face, just shrug it off and continue. It's just their way of not appearing desperate. If it doesn't work out, move on. If they really like you, they will come back to you. But don't worry, the ones that really like you will probably approach you even if you don't toast. I've never toasted a girl in my life. All I've done is to be playful and sarcastic with them and it works (though I've never actually dated before). Maybe you're making yourself too available or complimenting them too much, I don't know. |
Tokyo Ghoul is quite good but :re was disappointing sha. Haven't finished the manga till date. |
Nice. God bless all weebs. I've watched 270+ anime since late 2015 and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. ![]() house10s2:Hmm, have you tried taking a long break? I got burned out in 2018, took a break for a year until 2019 and then my passion came back immediately by watching Haikyuu. I'm planning to take this year off as well. |
Any guy that doesn't know this already must still be in secondary school. Most girls pretend as though the attention of guys is annoying, but they need it at a fundamental level even if it's for validation alone. And it doesn't need to come in the form of toasting or compliments. Just staring at a girl's face more than once is enough to give some of them the validation they want. Better don't think those love letters or love songs advice you see for wooing ladies in online articles are actually true, because most of them will quickly get tired of you as they don't tend to value what they can get easily. Speaking from experience (though I have never dated before), if you don't give them excessive attention and you're playfully sarcastic or funny, even the gorgeous ones will like you. |
Lol, this reminds me of a pastor I saw preaching on the bus some weeks ago. The guy said he was a cocaine addict and it was the most addicting thing on Earth for him. "Cocaine was so addicting and the sweetest thing in the world, e even sweet pass pvssy." That one off me ehn ![]() |
It's usually because they can provide ladies with the financial security and stability they always want as soon as possible. |
Correct for me. The last movie I watched was Thor: Ragnarok in 2017/2018 and I didn't even bother finishing it. Just went to my room and started playing with my phone ![]() Omo, movies no dey sweet person again. |
samiabigail:60 marks. I for score 70 but I just hugged a girl for the first time last year ![]() By gambling, do you mean only betting platforms like 9jaBet and such or casual bets with friends? |
