For the first time in 12 years, I have agreed to use IDE to write code. Prior to now NOTHING on earth would have encouraged me to use IDE whether eclipse, NetBeans or IntelliJ.

No IntelliJ for Java, strong man, I dare not try that. IntelliJ is an amazing IDE but Sublime Code works well sha if you want to avoid IDE

I was always a stubborn kid anyway, I didn't care for anyone's opinion, my own at that time, was just money and getting an apartment so I could stay on my own and do my thing. My boy has just finished learning HTML, CSS, JS and liquid. Nothing more nothing less.

Can he start working on upwork as a Shopify developer?

He doesn't have much experience but I believe I can learn more on jobs.

Yes Shopify discourages the use of frameworks to avoid bloats, he can jump into Liquid gigs. But for portfolio he will have to show comepetency in Liquid templating.

Building a simple theme is proof enough.

Yes it is good, my advice search for Business Presentation and also Graphic Design, start with an entry level job for now to just get a review.

Make it a habit of applying for 10 gigs a day

Also put these in mind:

Apply for Gigs shows the clients keeps monitoring the job offer, you will see it, also apply for gigs with less than 5 proposals so that your chances of being seen is high also post your works, in your proposal also

Saves client the time from heading to your profile.

You've been inactive for a long time, you have to get a client and get a gig, but clients will see your profile when you apply.

Hello everyone!

I have a laptop given to me by my sister. According to her, the laptop suddenly switched off and it has keyboard problems. I'd like to start freelancing and web development but I'm faced with two options:

1)Buy a new laptop
2)Repair the one my sis gave me even though it is likely it will soon get spoilt again (I don't even know how much the total repair will cost me).


Kindly advise me on what to do.
