nah at all, what works for me is this:

Read basics
Read the internal and architecture part of the language ( High level, just a summary of what's happening)
Read best practices

Once that is done, you can start coding

Then later

brush up on complex features of the language and look at source code ( Not compulsory, if you are writing business apps, but if you're like me where you have to create new components and widgets by extending XYZ framework or platform)

Join community for that language where the devs reside and learn from them.

Design Patterns ( very important, you can write codes that make sense to extend or spagethi codes)

I guess so. If your laptop is just ordinary 8GIG RAM with 256SSD it will run Android Studio or Visual Studio smoothly more than 16GIG with 500HDD.
Solid state drive help laptop to efficiently run software more than HDD.

I only do mobile dev on the desktop, I doubt my laptop can handle it. even though it's also 16gb ram.

Depends on what development you are doing but if it is mobile application development that will require you to install Android Studio or Visual Studi or Intellij Idea just don't try it on 4GIG RAM or else you will suffer.
To be on safer side for any development get at least Intel core i3 8GIG RAM 256SSD laptop

I use 16gb ram and Android Studio / Emulator still slows my systems this is i7 and a GPU of 8gb, today's tools are just too heavy not sure why

I have this rule of law anything less than 4gb move to Linux for performance. Windows uses a lot of memory to boot like 1.5gb or so, Linux takes far less. Also you would be a better developer with a unix background.

secondary school, around age 16, My PS1 got stolen and I was informed that PS1 games could be played on a computer, at that time, I couldn't fanthom how that was even possible, and from there I got into emulators and eventually started researching on how emulators are made, that is how i stumbled into programming. I got into programming because of gaming initially.

In my twenties I was mostly working and building life experiences, I put my hand into different things, and they shaped the future for me, the only biggest worry to be concerned about, is work and dealing with emotional issues, the problems as you age gets bigger and devastating.

Sorry this might be a contrary opinion but there’s a reason DS&A is usually a second year course in most structured Uni CS programs. It’s because you need a decent knowledge of a simple high level language (Python), low level language (usually C) and the difference between data structures implementations at both levels to be able to understand the trade offs you’ll be learning about. You also need the maths background to understand the simplicity of the discrete maths, graph and number theory algebras you’ll be using. The prereqs for those are usually Calculus, Stats and Linear algebra. (CLRS is the standard here)
Why you need a decent maths background ? You’ll be able to explain what’s happening under the hood even if you’re wrong. For example, you’ll know if the functions starting to look like a series it can probably be done with a O(log(n)) solution. Or if you’re using too many iterations or loops that’s a O(n) solution. Or the difference between even O(n) and o(n).Now you might argue that you could know these as a beginner, yeah you could memorize but how long before it becomes an headache and you become demotivated.
You don’t have to study the whole curriculum or learn it in-depth, but you need to have a working knowledge or a layman’s understanding of the complexities before you even attempt the leetcode or hackerrank of this world. That’s where I find Grokking Algorthms good.
That’s why a comprehensive algorithm course is 6 months tops and you mainly write in pseudo codes. It’s assumed your prior programming and maths experience would make you understand the logics and reasonings quickly.
My advise don’t actively think about DS&A until you can implement basic data structures using a high level language, and you’ll need at least a year of playing around with the language to get to that level or to even understand the beauty of what you’re working with. And when you start - plan to understand the basics in 3 months tops, spend the next three or so actively using it for job interviews because it’s easy to get burnt out fasttttas it’s mentally tasking PLUS when you get in the industry most of that thinking is already done or would be done by higher level architects in the organization.

This post deserves all the likes in the section, everything you said is the pure brutal truth. No algorithm knowledge and coding will be hard for you.

It is tough living in Nigeria no doubt, but if I earn considerably enough to be able to have unlimited travel with long duration visas, omo I'm staying here. Period. It's a big jungle in that "the abroad" that people are all hoping to travel to. Give me 20 years US, UK, Schengen, Australia and Japan multiple entry and I will stay put in this country.

Who am I to judge you in terms of addiction, however, you have a high negative image of yourself, that is where the issue is, I've known your profile for like 2 years and you use your own mouth to limit yourself. Maybe you are conditioning yourself to be a failure.

I sketched up something in Figma to show a proof of concept

So assuming someone wants to share a gallery/ Video/ List of Videos / URL Link / Music , she will hit the add and select Gallery, There will be a sidepane that shows configuration for each component selected.

If it has a file: We will push that to firebase and set all files there and the JSON Configuration for the Widget will be stored in firebase against an id that is tied to the user.

It generates a code that will be parsed by the Extension which fetches the attached Id per widget and fetches the data from JSON from firebase and renders for others too see when the extension is enabled.

All the Anti-spambot will see will be a harmless content that makes no sense to it.
