Gradually, we shall get there. Non oil dependence. Let’s concentrate more on agriculture and local production. |

If there’s nothing wrong with a central AC serving several rooms at a time, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with this too. Na cooling everybody need. |
As commonly seen in stores abroad. Is Nigeria not ready to take every advantage we have to better our economy? Just asking.

In addition, the suspect in this dirty drama will now be full of regret and the remaining of his life will never be the same again. He will be confined and not be able to do whatever he wishes again in his life. People need to make a choice between staying home with your family or spending the rest of your life behind bars if not sentenced to death. If truly you know the consequence of an action is not going to be good, why carry out the action.? May God continue to protect us from all evils. |
The happiest person or entity in this drama will be their former employer. |
nedu666:Good talk but will Nigerians agree especially those who make earnings from importation. We can only balance it by exporting more than we import into this country. Everyone will laugh. |
Ikaeniyan0:What if our government deem it necessary to even spend a little of our budget to get us massive equipments in achieving this, will they lose anything? |
How much is survey Odeda Abeokuta |
Majesty7:For self sufficiency, we are up to the task. We only need to put round pegs in round hole and you will see a lot of changes. Let the government provide enabling environment and also incentives for local producers. We just have to save our economy with a lot of exports and that will reduce our dependence on foreign exchange drastically. We can do it! |
Validated:If only you know the extent we still go in terms of production despite using the old ways of farming system but a lot go into loss due to so many factors. Case study of fish farmers losses due to heavy flooding. We can definitely start from somewhere to save our future. We don’t need to wait for any miracle to come from anywhere. We can definitely feed ourselves and other nations. Let the government just provide enabling environment and you will see wonders. |
Nigerians should listen to Prof Pat Utomi’s interview on Arise TV emphasizing the urgency in export and the bad attitudes of the agencies discouraging intended exporters. |
This is NDLEA scout |
We just need to get it right at this time |
We keep on complaining about how weak is our local currency while we have enormous locally produced or grown items here in Nigeria that we can be exporting day in day out in order to earn foreign currency to strengthen the naira. It looks our government agencies and parastatals are not yet ready to assist Nigerians in achieving this. A lot of our locally grown farm produces don’t see the light of the day or get to anywhere around the world as it should be considering our population advantage while other African countries get more export presence in every part of the world to earn foreign currency. We mostly concentrate on importing everything from abroad with several containers coming into the country fully loaded and unfortunately go back to their destinations empty loaded. How do we want to strengthen our economy and make naira stronger if we don’t make exportation of our locally grown produce easily exportable. Do you want to talk about the bottlenecks from our government agencies and parastatals, so discouraging and disappointing. It’s time for the federal government of Nigeria to declare a state of emergency in that sector and make things easy for those who are ready to take the enormous advantage of it. Let there be more enlightenment on how to go about it and encourage a lot of local producers to earn greatly from exportation. More importantly, when we patronize what we produce locally and we end up exporting a lot outside the country, The economy will grow drastically and will be strengthened. Our government should endeavor to sign as many as possible memorandum of understanding with various foreign countries in order to pave way for more local productions. I am very sure a lot of farmers and local producers are ready to up their productions when they see a clear and easy path to earn more money. Enough is enough seeing containers going empty loaded outside our shores. We just have to be serious for once and be the change we desire. |
I think this guy really qualifies for this job, well experienced in the field. |
Whenever you see any medical emergency situations especially when those who are professionals in that line are around, we should always give them the priority of moving closer first to rescue the situations. We see that a lot of Nigerians do not know who should go closer to a victim when emergency situations occur. We even see some of our leaders not enlightened about this especially when there are capable and professionals around. What happened at the senate chamber earlier today, despite having a lot of medical professionals around, non medical professionals were the ones moving forward first. In some instances, the emergency personnel will be struggling to get to the location due to overcrowding of onlookers. In some developed countries, all you need to do is to call 911 immediately. Another question might be how equipped and enlightened are our firefighters? Do we even have paramedics amongst our firefighters? We shall get there! |
Americans should expect a blaring phone alert Wednesday at 2:20 p.m ET. That's when the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will send notifications to phones in a nationwide emergency alert system test. Being that the alert is just a test, there's no cause for panic. It'll be conducted to ensure the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are operational in the event of a national crisis, while also familiarizing the public with the notifications. Those in larger metropolitan areas may have received similar-looking Amber Alerts from this system before. People cannot opt out of the nationwide alert, as even phones set to silent will be subjected to the jarring noise. The alert will read: "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed." The messages will deploy in English or Spanish, depending on the language settings of the devices. The cell phone test is scheduled to last for about 30 minutes, but consumers can silence the sound as soon as it pops up on their devices. Television and radio stations will also be subjected to the test, and a message will be broadcast across the airwaves indicating an nationwide emergency alert test is in place. Hopefully, we shall have this kind of development in Nigeria soon especially areas with emergency situations. |
This is hetetobranchus. It can get bigger and bigger than this. And take many years to get to this size |
Seclusion as what? Is the chieftancy title given to him a king ni? Did late Subomi Balogun also undergo all these? |
I recently got to know that cassava and potato leaves are edible and also two very common vegetables in major parts of west African countries. This is not so common here in Nigeria except I don’t know about it. It also commands some kind of good price as it’s been exported abroad. I know we have it in abundance here and we mostly do away with it by cutting off and burning in some cases. We can actually earn foreign currency from it if we add value to it. Do you eat or have you tasted cassava and potato leaves before?

I have thousands of yams harvested in my farm. How do you advise me to go by it in order to ameliorate the sufferings of direct consumers due to high cost of foods rather than going through the middle men who will eventually make the price go up for the final consumers? |
It’s because the op himself doesn’t understand what international conferences is all about. Participants don’t really need to sit and listen to all speakers but the communique will get to every participants at the end of the conference. The media coverage is the most important of it especially if it’s not the keynote speaker. Other meaningful engagements are going side by side. |
