You need to verify if your academic qualification qualifies you for the msc programs

P.s am planning on paying full tuition
You need a solid proof of relationship.
1. Affidavit- proof of relationship.
2. Bank statement
3. Proof of income- CAC documents et all if he's self employed and letter of employment if he's working to an organization
4. Pictures*
5. Draw out a family tree showing your uncles family composition.

She can definitely sponsor you. She just need to show her employment letter, payslips and property documents. Also she needs to state in the sponsor letter her number of dependents. You can also include pictures especially from your childhood days.

hello everyone,
I need some advice regarding advanced study (masters) in some fields (business analytics, informations systems, or project management). Because of my low GPA (2.5), I am about to resign my fate that I might not be able to get schools to accept me. I also heard of taking a post-graduate course. but I do not seem to find any program related to the ones that I would be interested in. Please does anyone have similar experiences or know someone that got out of this situation and how they did that?

You can try your luck with Thompson Rivers university post baccalaureate diploma program. The program helps to solidify weak undergraduate results and acts, gain industry relevant skills and most importantly act as a bridge for further post graduate studies.

Thanks bro

I just saw this

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/foreign-workers/researcher-exemption.html

I think I need a work permit. I was exempted from applying for work permit last time and I cannot be exempted again unless it is after 12 months.

Please go through the link (if you are not busy) and let me know what you think.

Thanks for your help bro
Acknowledged. I just did. If you have applied within 12 months then it means you aren't eligible to apply again for the work Permit exemption. I think at this point you need to contact the research institute and notify them. Perhaps they can have a solution for you.

The research is less than 6 months so you can proceed with a visiting visa. Just ensure you have proper documentation to present when you apply.

Hi Gurus in the house,
Pls as a newbie ,I've applied for admission to a one year PGD in mechanical engineering, I've got HND in mechanical engineering with 6yrs work experience, married with a kid,intend using my brother inlaw who's a police officer in the US as the sponspor, pls what are my chances being that age is 35, all responses will be highly appreciated .
With Canada you really cannot weigh your chances. The most you can do is ensure you follow the right procedures such as;
1. Ensuring the program you apply for shows good progression with your studies and that you have a valid reason for taking the program.

2. Show proper proof of relationship between you and your sponsor.

3. Submit legit documents

4. Ensure you submit your application in a very logical and clear format.

5. Justify your study gaps.

Lastly, pray and hope for the best with a plan B mapped out just in case

Any idea? After submitting paper application, can the submitted international passport be replaced by a new passport. The old one will expire soon. How is this done pls
If your passport still as more than 6months validity then don't bother yourself. The visa stamp you will get simply gives you passage into Canada. At the point of entry you'll be given your study permit, at that point you can present your new passport to ensure that the study permit you get correlates with your program duration.

Hello everyone!

I have decided on Lambton college for a two year course (Advanced photography). I'm a photographer with enough experience and portfolio. Do I need to apply to more than one school? Because someone told me I'll stand a better chance at the Canadian embassy if I apply to more than one school.

I'm looking at September 2020, is that adequate time to apply and get visa? I will start my school application next week and apply for visa immediately if I get it. So latest February 2020, I'll start the visa processing

P.S: It's a post graduate course and I have a BSc
Applying to more than one school reduces the chances of getting disappointed and doesn't have anything to do with embassy affairs. There is also a lot of advantages applying early it gives you enough time to make plans. I also applied January last year for a September program and that gave me enough time to make my travel plans. All the best...

When should I start my visa process
What's the steps to take
My sponsor is my mum but with a business account of 120million
Have been on treasury bills. No outflow for more than 4years .
I need ur advise
The first step is to justify your reason to apply for a bsc at 24. You need to show a good account of your professional activities and skillset to justify it in order to avoid refusal based on "Purpose of Visit".

You also need to show that you've some sort of of asset or personal funds to your self.

Lastly, read through the thread to get more tips and ensure that and present your application in a uniform manner

You have to first understand the career path that's best for you and then seek a Designated learning institute in Canada to pursue your objectives. After that you need to have a good financial portfolio, good account of your home ties among others to proceed to the next stage. I know if you can take the time out to cover the thread you'll get detailed information on how to go about things

Thanks a lot Yes it does actually and I can choose to proceed to a degree program after the completion of the diploma.
Sometimes you don't have to complete to switch. If you take the prerequisites and maintain a minimum average of B grade then you can switch in the midterms.

Please look at this case: This friend has a degree in Petroleum Engineering but over ten years Banking experience. Already has a Masters in Petroleum Engineering but the qualification will not be presented since he intend going for a MSC. Would you advise this fellow proceeds with a Program in Petroleum Engineering where he barely have any work experience or proceed to take a Msc in a field relevant to the Working experience?
Msc is a universal program. Depending on how he presents his case. He can state that he wants to kick start his engineering firm in future as a case sample. My school here in Canada I know a guy that's studying post baccalaureate diploma in Business administration and he's got an Engineering degree.

P.s: to be on the safe side let the program align with previous qualifications

I am funding my self for the first semester fee but i am making my pastor my sponsor because he has money but Please i need help on what to do and how to go about picking the right choice of school and ties also
Great choice, but the only issue with the Canadian visa officers is they tend to weigh your study program with what you studied before hand. Also if you submit an application for an IT program the admission team will look at your IT skills through your transcript and if they don't find any viable or related skillset then it might be a problem. It is one thing to claim you've been working in the IT industry and another thing to proove your skills from an accredited institute. Also there is a lingering problem of "Purpose of Visit" where the Visa officer might refuse based on you not having a clear study plan. It isn't impossible but it will be wise to weigh your options and use the resources you have to full effect.

Hello house, I have been a silent reader and I have been following the thread diligently. Please I just applied and got admission, to study diploma in business admin in Toronto. I am a 30 year old man, married with a kid. My highest qualification is SSCE which I wrote in 2008. I couldn't further because I lost my single parent mother in 2009 when I got admission to the university, I had to dropout and grow up fast to take care of my two siblings. Now the both of them are graduates and doing well. I want to return back to school but not in Nigeria. I have applied to several schools abroad for Bsc, but couldn't get admission because of my age and space between when I finished high school. I was very grateful I got this opportunity. Now I am at a crossroad on how to start my visa application. I will be my own sponsor, I have a SOA of about 6.2m, I own a my business which was registered this year. I have no travel history, please gurus what are my chances and how do I proceed from here. God bless
It's never too late to try. Firstly, the program you applied for does it give you the platform to make a smooth transition to a Bsc program in Canada. There are certain foundation programs that give you the privilege of doing just that. I also believe if you come out straight and honest in your application you might just be lucky. The conditions are far from perfect but you still never know.

Niagara College offers it as an advanced Diploma course. I want to know my chances of getting a study permit visa if I go it since I already have a bsc and masters.
Why not opt for a Graduate Certificate program in Supply chain management. I'll also advice you not to disclose your msc to avoid refusal based on purpose of visit.

You can use any method. However, to avoid bulky applications you can use the CFO of each property and an affidavit to verify all the properties you're submitting

Hello Guys.
Have been following up a lots of post here.
I need a response to my case.
I applied for admission through an agent early year.

I'm 31,
I apply for fresh BSc in computer science but after a long while. I was told by the agency that the admission came out though isn't what I applied.
They gave me Qualifying Diploma in Business Admin.
They said I should accept and proceed to visa processing.
I had some doubt base on my age if vo will accept it.
The name of the school is University Of Regina.
I verified the admission in school website.
The school gave me 3 resumption session, to resume September which was fall, January winter or May Summer.
I want to know about Age limit and advise if I can proceed for visa.
Thanks
You're a mature applicant with supposed work experience plus you probably have an undergraduate degree. Applying for another BSc degree doesn't show any progression in your studies. Hence, your general purpose of visit isn't solid.

At the very least you need a specialised course one that correlates with your work experience and previous education background. Remember you're 31 the VO expects;
1. That you show good financial and family ties to your home country.

2. Proof of establishment in your home country.

3. Excellent presentation of your education and work timeline to justify your study gaps among others.

Hello house,

I have been a silent reader on this thread for a while but I need an advice at the moment urgently.

I am 30yrs old with ND & HND in Petroleum Engineering Technology . However, in the final year of my HND program, I signed up for 1yr apprenticeship in Pipe and Argon Welding , and I have practiced this profession for 3yrs now.

I wish to pursue Canada PR, either by Study and EE.

I got a 2yrs Welding/Metal Fabrication Certificate course in College of North Atlantic, Canada. Spoke to my boss about it and he is willing to support with all necessary documents.

My plan is to apply for this Certificate course, although self sponsored, my uncle is willing to offer his SOA and necessary docs and stand as sponsor. my company is also will to issue documents such as : employment letter, reference letter, ID card pay slip, study leave approval letter etc. Since my aim is Welding career advancement.

For ties to Canada and home country; two of my cousins studied in Canada, both of whom are on PGWP. For home ties; my job, a plot of land, my wife, we also jointly have an incorporated restaurant business , my parents and siblings are in Nigeria

My Challenges:

1. chances of gettn a visa, Considering I already have HND in diff. field, then going for Trades/Vocational Cert. course.

2. Possibility of applyn for Open Work Permit/spousal sponsorship for my wife.

@Frankrobbn1
@NaijaForeigner
@JustMellow
@Qudkom

Others not mentioned.

Pls Advise
Regarding the Open work permit CA's long as you have a valid status in Canada you can always bring your wife( Study permit, work permit PR etc) you just need proof of relationship, living expenses sorted and your proof of residence-study/work.

As for your welding program, if you can proof that the program is going to be a reasonable expense then you're good to go. Also proof why you aren't doing it in Nigeria. Hence, it all falls on the logic of spending millions on a certificate that could otherwise be done in Nigeria.

Project management
Building construction
Construction project management
Or interior design.

And also I need your advice too. Do you think the job prospects in this field of study has a promising future if one eventually get job there.

My main aim is to get graduate, get a good job and settle permanently.

Hello Gurus in the house

I have been a silent reader on this thread for a while but I need an advice at the moment urgently.

Let me brief you about myself. I'm a 27y/o lady with Bsc finance(3rd class) and PGD finance. I rounded up nysc in 2015 and haven't gotten a job since then.

A friend of mine who is resident in Canada suggested to me an idea on migrating to Manitoba via school. She suggested a school ( University College of the North), the Pas Manitoba because of its cheap tuition.

I checked for the programs online but all they offer is undergraduate diploma courses and few Bachelor's programs.

Right now, I'm thinking of applying for a two year diploma course in Business Administration as its a perquisite to getting a bachelor's degree in Business Administration according to their website..(I.e. 2 yrs for diploma and another two years program to be awarded a BSc).

And the tuition per year is around (6300 cad) which I feel is the least i have ever come across for an international student.

My question now is
1. Can someone of my age apply for the diploma

2. What are my chances of getting a visa by applying for an undergraduate diploma ( as whether to include in my LoE that I have a university degree or just my high school result)

3. What and what are to be explained in my SoP and how to address the year gap of my studies and all. ( ssce 2008, Bsc 2014, PGD 2019)

Lastly , I see this is an opportunity for me as its affordable for my sponsor so I await your contribution as I intend to apply for Sept 2020. Thank you

Hello, everyone as a chance to get into Canada. However little factors can count against you;
1. Applying for another Bsc program. Please don't try it.

2. Going for a mere "diploma" program. That's also a no.

3. What you need is a post graduate program that gives you the opportunity to get exrta credit to boost your weak BSc and also give you relevant skills to get a good job afet graduation.

Recommendations;
1. Cape Breton University post baccalaureate business programs
2. Thompson Rivers university post baccalaureate business programs.

A post baccalaureate program is of interest to students who have a degree and want to return to university for one or two years to acquire a specialty in a functional area of business. Students with a first degree in business, but who want to change their area of focus, may complete a post-baccalaureate diploma as well.

Truth everywhere in this post.
Please can you shed more light on the GIC u mentioned ?

it's an investment certificate you get from a Canadian bank similar to a fixed deposit. When tiu get to Canada you get a fixed amount of that money every month as your living expense. Please note that it isn't available for Nigerian applicant. I was just trying to illustrate how easy it is for some other nationals to apply. Rather than scanning excessive land documents etc... To show proof of fund and all.
