ope4all: Hello, it isn't just about applying to schools. You did not state your qualifications or program you'd like. This factors are very important in choosing a school. And generally speaking Canadian education is expensive. |

Obehi44:Hello, I am doing great. It's still the same output. A lot of questions will be asked; 1. What do you bring to the company that's leading them to sponsor you? 2. Why would they want to spend all that money on one person? 3. Will the directors, shareholders etc allow the company sponsor an individual etc... |

ynwtobby:Sorry about the refusal, try and order a gcms note. It could be generic sometimes but at least you can deduce some facts from it. Regarding the personal asset and financial status, you probably used a 3rd party sponsor and also you didn't attach essential documents to show your financial status in Nigeria like assets, shares, financial documents, company documents etc... You should also try to get enough documents to show your families deep rootedness in Nigeria |

The semesters include; Winter(January), Summer(May) and Fall(September) semesters. Lastly, always familiarise yourself with the schools refund policy. |

Eddybest91: Regardless of the age of the child you need to provide documents showing your plans for your child in Canada which is usually daycare documents. And also specified funds for any accompanying family members. Regarding if they'll give you the visa? There isn't any 100% guarantees with immigration. You must have to put your documents together and see how it all turns out. The only thing I am not sure off is travelling with a 5month old baby. 1 Like |

Due to the large number of applicants requesting information on immigration only to three main provinces (Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia), I wanted to inform you that there are several opportunities for new immigrants to immigrate to smaller provinces in Canada as it is often an opportunity overlooked by many. As mentioned the Government wanted to invite 1 million immigrants within the next 3 years, this was announced 2017 and this would be the last year of the project. So once the project ends everyone’s chances for immigration decreases significantly, if you wish to immigrate to Canada it would be this year as it may be the last year in which immigrants are in demand. A few factors to consider are: Accommodation is cheaper in smaller cities Cities like Moncton, Halifax, Saskatoon can have excellent accommodation available for much cheaper prices. The competition for finding a job is lower I understand that finding employment is top priority. Smaller cities in Canada have an ageing population as most young Canadians move to larger cities where competition for jobs is higher. Many organizations are setting up offices in the smaller cities due to lower real estate prices and they consistently have requirements for skilled workers. Quality of life can be significantly higher Smaller cities have several recreational activities available for families. Due to the lower housing prices, travel times are shorter to work. There are over 72 PNP programs available The Federal Government of Canada has consistently been increasing quotas for smaller provinces as they want to encourage new immigrants and future Canadians to populate the smaller cities. This presents an opportunity as there may be lower competition in obtaining a quota for you. 4 Likes |

Careermama:The best route I'd you are education inclined is to apply for an msc program. There are various programs available in the field you want and the career options in Canada is extremely wide. Going for a PR might be difficult because of your age. If you can justify your home ties, proper financial portfolio then the sky is the limit. |

dellons:A diploma is a post secondary program while an advanced diploma is a post degree program. Which means you need to have completed a 3 or 4 years post secondary studies/degree to qualify for it. P.s: A waec certificate can be used to apply for a diploma and a degree certificate for an advanced diploma. |

Bigwayne:It takes 40days standard to get your gcms note. You probably didn't include or provide enough documents to back up your financial portfolio. Also did you make use of a 3rd party sponsor? If yes being able to provide a good link to show that the sponsor isn't just a random person with funds is also very important. |

zeb04:Your dad is a principal sponsor he doesn't need to pay anything into your account. You just need his financial portfolio. Also you are applying for a study visa when you get to Canada at the port of entry you'll then be given a study permit with a conditional work Permit. Do make sure you read the permit given you because sometimes the immigration officer forgets to add the conditional work permit which can prove to be an issue. After that you can then proceed to any Canada immigration office to get your SIN( social identity number). A friend of mine here in Canada had the issue with the immigration officer not applying the work permit and he couldn't work for 4months it was hell for a guy that was del sponsoring. 1 Like |

Faith243:You have to find a way to plug those loopholes to boost your chances. You most likely don't have issues with, purpose of visit and finance. But finance and personal asset, home ties* can be a serious let down. You need to start by showing good accountability of your activities right from your undergraduate Years followed by a way to shoe that you've been actively evolved in developing your self both intellectually and work experience. 1 Like |

elsteve:To answer your question, when you apply in Nigeria you're simply applying for a study visa. When you get to Canada at the first point of entry you will get the study permit at the counter from immigration officer. Note that the length of the study permit which also doubles up as a conditional work Permit cannot exceed the date of expiry of your current passport. 2. Biometrics is a default request for every applicant. You're required to go for it immediately after submission of visa application. Also note that medical can be done before submission and attached to the application or wait for the instruction from the visa office to go and do the medical exam at the designated hospitals.(kindly check the CIC website for the hospitals as this changes from time to time.) 2 Likes |

DeeWan:To be honest, it doesn't matter who submits the visa application. There isn't any favoritism given to the agent or third party that submitted. Matter of fact a foreign lawyer will simply ask for default documents and doesn't know the detailed requirements, methods etc most Nigerian applicant utilise when submitting applications. I am here in Canada and I know this for a fact.all you get is a default to do list.... |

Yimi4real: 1. Your siblings can definitely sponsor you. However, if they will be doing that together with the fact that you wish to apply husband and kids then you're directly telling them WE ARE NOT COMING BACK 2. I will suggest you apply first and then apply for your husband via Open work Permit in the future. 3. The siblings sponsoring you will be closely evaluated based on their own individual dependencies. That is what's the propensity for them to cater for their needs and responsibilities and still sponsor you In Canada? 4. I really don't know how you intend doing this buy your husband needs to be able to provide some sort of sponsorship 1 Like |
