AlFath: Hi sorry about your refusal to begin with you'll need to state; 1. What you currently do in terms of employment. 2. What are the documents you submitted to verify your family ties. P.s: Don't be too hard on yourself lately I have seen some gutting decisions by the VOs and it's just hard to understand. You can imagine a guy that works for his father (proof of employment, 2 company account, tax receipts, license etc) getting refused on employment bases... And also home ties even with the fact that he's got a sibling fully settled in Canada. 1 Like |

omotayour26: You need your passport to apply via paper route. You can use the online route instead, that doesn't require you submitting a passport. |

Onweke: Canada rarely offer interviews only on rare cases to make some conformations and all. You can read through the thread to get an idea of what you need to get together from Sponsor documents, fianance documents, SOP and Education documents. 1 Like |

chucs:3rd party sponsor that isn't related to you isn't suitable especially with the fact that the individual will technically sponsor 2 applicants. Non the less of you choose to carry on with it you'll need to; 1. Ensure you can proof the sponsor as helped you in the past 2. Account for Sponsors dependents 3. Nature of sponsors job and earnings in reference to your study program cost etc... |

The recent federal election in Canada saw a Liberal minority government elected to power. This is great news of aspiring immigrants and it means the Liberals will continue to have an open borders policy in order to acquire skilled immigrants to be a part of Canadian society. Here is a highlight of what to expect in this term: 1) Immigration Targets will rise: A rise in the targets usually implies a decrease in eligibility criteria. However, in the past this has not been the case. When the Liberals declared an increase in the immigration numbers in late 2017, there was a corresponding increase in number of applicants and thus an increase in minimum requirements. 2) More Provincial Nomination Programs will be launched Due to the success of previous PNP programs, the Liberal government will encourage provinces to play a bigger role in selecting immigrants. 3) More Government funding for settling immigrants The Liberal government has always been committed to helping new immigrants get settled. This term will most likely see an increasing in budget for settlement of new immigrants in order to help them get jobs and start their new life in Canada. 4) Easier to become a Canadian citizen The Government has long indicated a need to reduce application fees for citizenship. Thus once you become a permanent resident of Canada, it will consequently become easier to be a citizen for you and your family. 4 Likes |

IboBoyNuel:There are 2yr post graduate courses. Word of advice project management is too basic and you'll most likely be flagged based on "Purpose of visit" (VO not seeing any logical reason for embarking on a program that could otherwise be done locally in Nigeria in the form of a degree or professional certificate) also try a Graduate Certificate program. Marshall008:First and foremost msc depends on your cgpa from your last degree. Also getting your wife to Canada can be done while applying or better still get to Canada, settle in and apply for an open work permit. I'll advice you get a job first, enrollment proof, letter from your landlord in Canada, proof of relationship then you can apply. 1 Like |

bosslady126:Don't worry yourself if you have a bsc degree go ahead and apply. A graduate certificate is like the younger brother of MSc programs just that it is; 1. Streamlined 2. Affordable 3. You don't get to write projects 4. Lower requirements P.s try and apply for a GC that offers Co-op terms |

Anitaamich:Hello; 1. You definitely need to account for all activities since you graduated from university. 2. You can always apply for a graduate certificate program nothing less in order to avoid issues relating to purpose of visit. 3. Once you figure out the province you're going and get an admission letter you can always look for the nearest daycare to enroll your child. P.s: don't apply for any kind of certificate for the purpose of "entering Canada" it's important to apply for a program that shows progression in your studies and career. 2 Likes |

Rennie97:Oh, means you didn't include any proof of employment. I'm sorry but applying so soon won't justify anything. It's unrealistic to claim you have a job all of a sudden unless you wanna proof you omitted it but that also depends in what you stated on your sop... |

Rennie97:You probably didn't show enough proof to confirm your employment or show enough proof in your study plan about the job prospect of your current field in the country. |

nayo10:Family ties is a broad refusal clause; the visa officer wants to ascertain that you have family ties in Canada and/or in Nigeria. Which means showing proof of; 1. Relationship status(Married with proof) 2. Brief documentation of family involvement In Nigeria 3. Family pictures can also be used to back up claims 4. If your parents are sponsoring try and attach their property documents 5. Family involvements in Voluntary services/ religious involvements etc... All this are just some of the things that can back up your family ties. 1 Like 1 Share |

Goodbloke:Yes you can but you have to put so many things in consideration; 1. Relationship Status 2. Current job and prospects 3. Investment portfolio If you answer positively to this questions then you can. P.s: IF YOU'RE MARRIED OR HAVE AGED PARENTS THEN THE DEPENDENCY RATE INCREASES AND AFFECTS THE WAY THE VISA OFFICER VIEWS YOUR APPLICATION |

harveygordon:So why aren't you looking at the light of a POST GRADUATE PROGRAM. That would have done well for you in the first place. Your cgpa is perfect for one |
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Qudkom(m): 6:35pm On Oct 20, 2019 |
harveygordon:To begin with; 1. Do you have a previous BSc. Certificate? 2. If yes, was it a high CGPA? 3. I'm pretty sure one of the refusal reasons was based on 'Purpose of visit"- did you order gcms note? 4. The chances of getting a trv for Canada for a bsc with age, previous degree in consideration is very low |
