Siena:don't mind them. they now want to start packing too |
King James Oladipo Aroko-Ola Buremoh is the Oba, or hereditary monarch, of the Nigerian town of Idera -- a tiny kingdom home to about 20,000 people. He's also a New York tour bus driver. Recently, two exchange students from Nigeria were told by their tour guide on the bus that a Nigerian king was driving. They raced down the stairs to see who it was. "The boy prostrated, the lady knelt down. I don't even want people to know I'm a king," said Buremoh, who is also an American citizen. http://www.nbc6.net/news/17310333/detail.html?rss=ami&psp=news |
Royal family my bakassi is there anyone in Nigeria that's not from a royal family. there's even a king with a kingdom in western Nigeria profiled on MSNBC driving buses in New York Nonsense. @ poster topup asked some smart questions. I can understand why the mother would want you to come and marry the girl officially It's still a shameful thing for a girl to be pregnant out of wedlock but the threat of terminating her daughter's pregnancy is where I begin to question her sanity. goodluck with that kain psychotic mother in law |
davidylan:and what are you doing in someone's bossom? |
To the Muslims it would be better for y'all to spend more time focusing on allah and his Koran than Jesus, crucifixion, ressurection and finding Mohammed in the Bible. We don't use the Koran in any shape or form to prove the validity of the Bible. We don't need to ![]() Is the al koran unable to substantiate itself that you need help? some Muslim scholar even said that when Jesus said Eloi Eloi lama sa bachtani on the cross He was shouting allah allah and that Halleluia or Hallaluyah had allah these people are ridiculous! |
theopops:Above all be yourself dear. while you're learning his culture, he should be learning yours He should for instance, prostrate to greet your parents as a sign of respect. If I were Yoruba,I'll expect my man to prostrate to my parents, and older relatives. Your man is lucky sha I hear Yorubas don't "charge" exhorbitant dowries and provide the suitors with a list of things to buy as most Igbos do. and I also hear the brides family sponsors the wedding in Yorubaland The man had it easy kai! He is a blessed man ![]() |
CodeRED:na deepni I wan be godmother for. We can even make the name sweeter add a few letters and it becomes a little trendier what say ye about Deepnisha How about Deepnishameka Deeptina nko? I mean, she can still be deepni for short |
I don't see anything wrong with this o afterall they're not blood relations. My paternal Uncle married my maternal first cousin and we're happy for them |
CodeRED:I thought they were Mr & Mrs Hannideep |
KarmaMod:was he wearing agbada in the ones you saw ![]() The hips were very obvious to me. Even when he was flying his shirt, the bump wouldn't let the shirt lie flat. At first I thought it was just the angle of the shot I was horrified to find that it was all him |
KarmaMod:I just started watching Nigerian movies very recently. I just never cared about them I heard the name genevieve Nnaji on this nairaland for the first time along with others The movie was "private sin" with Stephanie Okereke,Olu Jacobs and Genenieve Nnaji. His bakassi covered my big screen. kai! |
I've learnt names of nollywood movie stars mainly from Nairaland and I always have to go to google to read about them and hopefully watch their movies someday. There was a thread on Richard Mofe Damijo being handsome. I didn't know who he was at first but recently I saw his movie, last week to be precise and indeed he's a clean cut, polished and good looking man. Or so I thought until the camera showed his backside. Nna men, the bobo get Ikebe,I no go lie! Lawd have mercy!! that is a no no in my books o man-hips Tufiakwa!! A handsome man with hips He needs to do something about it ![]() |
Okija_juju:This is hilarious. |
Sabella: Your Excellency, in your well-thought out opinion, how do you think the Ijaws can move out and move beyond poverty, fetidity and hopelessness; how can they achieve development? Jonathan G: The Ijaws can move out of poverty whenever they are ready to move out of poverty. They can farm and fish and sell Ogogoro. What else do they need to achieve development? All the talk I hear about ecological disaster is nothing but crap. Let them go about their farming and fishing endeavors. Sabella: Your Excellency…Sir…Are you saying… Jonathan G: (cuts in)… The oil and gas does not belong to the Ijaw or the Niger Delta. The oil flows from the North, from the Chad basin, from Sokoto and the Sahara Dessert. It is just by the grace of Allah that the liquid got deposited in the Niger Delta. In order words, you people are just temporary custodians of the oil and gas. Move on…moving on… |
Sabella: In what ways has your people gained from the oil and the federal government? Jonathan Goodluck: Thanks for asking such a beautiful and deep question. That’s brilliant and wonderful. Let me ask you something: what else does the Ijaws want? After all, for the past eight years, Bayelsa had been getting the best from the Federal Government. For instance, within the past eight years the state had had the privilege of having ministers besides other political positions at the national level. There are Bayelsans who are ministers, chairs of different parastatals, ambassadors and so on and so forth. Isn’t that enough? Look, they should be grateful to the Federal Government and to God for those appointments. Look at me; I am by the grace of God the VP. That alone should be enough for the Ijaws. That’s enough! Sabella: It is said that you don’t take kindly to criticisms. Is that true? Jonathan G: Bleep you! That’s not true, that’s false. You see, anyone can criticize me, anyone can advise me. However, they must do so in a very respectful manner, in private. There should be no washing of dirty linen in the public. If you must criticize, criticize me constructively and not dish out outright damaging information to the public in the name of criticism. Timipre Sylva and that fake Dr. Fente accused me of misplacing N170 billion; well, it is N150 billion and not the amount they are quoting. And in fact that money has been missing since the days of Alamieyeseigha. They should go talk to him. http://www.nigeriavillagesquare.com/index.php/content/view/9984/55 |
my food don cold finish make I go chop jare. sistawoman, take a trip to the man and give it to him in that apartment. It works everytime. |
Sisikill:Actually, the crying one surprised me o This kain anambra yoruba that cries anyhow. The Mr Cunle Comolafe was in his lonely apartment and saw visions and apparitions of his green card flying high up in the sky beyond his reach. He thought of going back to Acure empty handed and it hit him like a truck load of frozen amala ![]() |
I hate eating with people that have bad table manners i.e chewing loudly, grunting and sticking their fingers to gather food from their oral pouch. |
davidylan:does he roll his amala with both palms? |
KarmaMod:You must be kidding me. aiding and abetting a criminal ![]() |
sistawoman:a brand of Nigerian beer. Seriously dear, take your marital issues off nairaland. even if you cut him,we don't have to know ![]() |
davidylan:You no well. In one of the threads, sheniqua warned her but did she listen? sistawoman:Then he's surely coming home just give him time to finish his carton of gulder |
abeg ma I go knack spaghetti. @ sista woman. From woman to woman, don't bring your marital issues to nairaland. solve them at home. |
