KarmaMod:Biko may God hear your plea. suya pieces shall not be my portion in this land of soddom and Gomorrah ![]() |
I'll like to know if any girls in Nigeria had similar things happen onyinye2:It's different if you were just with a bunch of girls.Nigerian men do that a lot and I appreciate it . Were you with a date? |
nana:It was actually my isiewu joke on another thread that sparked this memory. I was with my now husband then date at an isiewu joint and this man bought me a plate and a bottle of Maltina and my man thought nothing of it. |
SeanT21:Seriously? I remember one ocassion,I was with a potential suitor and we were eating at Imo hotels in Owerri and a plate of chicken arrived and the waiter pointed at a guy sitting at the bar and I mouthed thank you and never saw him again. My date chopped the chicken with me o |
Gamine:Osanobua!! could that be the case? I was very thin back in those days chei! maybe they wanted to feed me |
Is this just a cultural thing? |
I remember back in Naija,on several ocassions,at least I remember 3 vividly while I was with a date,I would have drinks (Maltina) or some plates of orishirishi brought by the waiter and it would have been bought and paid for by another male in the restaurant with no strings attached. Did anyone here have similar experiences ? |
papa_dims:My dear o chei! My man gave me an engagement ring at an Isiewu joint ![]() I'm tied with isiewu for life |
Olabowale you have my e-mail,ask Zainab to e-mail me. I promise to be nice and kind. You know I'll be. At least there are 3 things we have in common 1. she's Igbo 2. we both have charming men as husbands ![]() 3.We both like to travel |
olabs, babs was never a Christian.Perhaps a church goer like many Yoruba Muslims who attend the mosque ocassionally and pack the stadiums during crusades and revivals .Remember I also told you your first wife was a mere church goer. No true Christian woman would marry a Muslim man. Christ has no accord with belial, the Bible says. |
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) |
ayinba1:John 8 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." |
agaba123:We can train them na just because you can finish one carton of beer with a plate of isiewu after your lunch doesn't mean you can't drink 2 bottles and call it a day ![]() |
Who says we're not built for marathons. Look at those northern cattle rearers don't they look like like those long legged Kenyans ? All those skills they used in chasing those wild male namas can be utilized in the 1,500 and 3,000 metres All they need to do is imagine that their opponents are namas that need capturing. We have many resources, but are we utilizing them ? |
olabowale:Thank you Lord for Olabowole. Thank you for opening his eyes and bringing him into the kingdom of light The Bible says that faith calls those things that are not as though they were. Olabowale, watch out! The time is just around the corner in Jesus' name somebody say Amen! |
“I always shout at the victims that we are many, but I used to be the only person who comes around to rob them. What kind of man will see a robber raping his wife in his presence and just watch as instructed. Was he tied up? Was there nothing he could do even if risking his own life where is the love? Even if he came with a loaded gun, there must be a point during the rape that he loses control. What a weak man! God forbid, anyman that insists on violating me in the presence of my kids should be rest assured he'll be sleeping with a corpse. He'll have to kill me first. |
I milk cows for a living. What's wrong with it? ![]() |
KarmaMod:Even those who disrespected the institution of marriage by whoring around don't deserve to be killed. The man (and the woman) should have enough sense to move on. The saddest of all those cases is the Akeredolu case. They were already divorced. He lived hundreds of miles away in Georgia while she lived in Dallas wth the kids. But he diecided she still deserved to die He drove all night to kill her in her car as she was about to get to a big birthday bash her friends had thrown her. In this case, what did she do wrong? The marriage was already over. I pray none of you single ladies should be entangled with any of these psychos parading as suitors. The latest case about Mr Iheme is similar, they were going through a divorce and then he ambushes her at her work place and shoots her to death. |

The Sly:Give me the scripture where that is written. false prophet |
karma did you read of the 2 women in Nigeria that hacked their husbands to death in Western Nigeria. Neither the wives nor the husbands were nurses . What I take out of the stories is that many humans have the capability of losing it. As sad as these stories are, they should be lessons for us all who are living 1.Know who you're getting married to 2.Desist from pushing their buttons if possible 3.Know when to walk away (man and woman) I happened to know someone who knows the lady nurse in NC whose husband cut off her 2 hands with a machete uttering the words "let me see the hands you'll use to do the nurse". We hear the stories and not the preambles. This woman in Raleigh NC was openly cheating on her husband with a Haitian man. Granted the relationship was already sour but they were still living together He had no history of mental illness. The wife's lover would drop her off at odd hours and on one of those ocassions, they argued about her sleeping with another man and things escalated from there. The man is now in prison and she's now moved in the Haitian lover and married him and they are seen together at naija functions. The Nigerian community in Raleigh actually rallied around the man since this seemed to fit the description "crime of passion" Did this woman deserve to be mutilated ,absolutely not But she had a part to play in the whole ugly incident. as gentle as I look there's no telling what I might do if I found my man incubating another woman |
rasputinn:There'll be a death threat and the thread is locked that's why. @ poster, the scriptures forbid fornication expressly so why would condoms be distributed in the church?Anyone who insists on fornicating (hopefully with protection) knows where to buy a pack of condoms from. |
I know but sometimes words can be very damaging. |
Hannibal:OSANOBUA!!!!!!!!!! is that why you're so angry and now taking it out on innocent nairalanders like funmi ![]() |
