The funny thing is that when I heard FIFA was expanding the competition to 48 teams and that Africa had 9 slots guaranteed (and potentially 10), I just laughed and concluded that Nigeria will feature for every FIFA WC from here on. Who would have told me that the Super Bottles will still struggle even with 9 slots?

Nigeria's fall off in men's international soccer needs a dedicated article in all science journals.

Well, make we dey watch. Super Eagles has always been a "second half" team, at least from majority of the matches I've seen in my lifetime. If we win this game, it will be 1-0. And probably a late goal. The Rwandan defense is solid.

Omo at this point, I'm just going to watch the match for watching sake. I'm not expecting a miracle. We messed up the bed in our earlier games and now we're paying the price. Even if we don't make it, I still insist Chelle stays. Especially if the gameplay is decent and not in shambles. But you see this match, I'm just going to watch it as a football fan, not a SE fan. I'm still too young to be having high BP.

If Nigeria don't make it to the mundial, I'm rooting for England. If you like ask me why.

Incase results go oda wise , I don’t want to hear so so so player shld av been invited instead of so so so.This is one of the most balanced squad I av ever seen in a while as a super eagles fan .its left for d players to proof demselves if they truly wish to have a chance to play at d World Cup
Facts. Literally nothing wrong with the call up.

I was thinking last night and I think I'm glad that we're having to struggle this much to get to the mundial. Maybe it will make us sit up during our World Cup campaign instead of making us complacent because we'll always have it at the back of our minds that we qualified by the skin of our teeth.

Useless NL bots will not ban nonsensical and hateful threads like this, but if it's to ban detailed posts with plenty of depth and thoughts, their radar will explode. Useless site.

This website is dying slowly and Seun doesn't know it yet.

Chad don dey draw Ghana for 90+ mins o 🙆🏾‍♂️
I'm not surprised. Ghanaians on Twitter have been acting like their World Cup qualification is set in stone. I'm sure the same energy must have been showing with their players too. I expect them to come harder for their next game. Although I have to say this current Ghana black stars generation are arguably worse than our squad.

I am actually being positive. You see when you call a black kettle, a black kettle, you are saying things exactly as they are.
Osimhen was the difference maker.

Not Eric Chelle's ingenuity.
Osimhen's presence will always be felt in any setup. As for Eric Chelle, my previous points about him still stand.

Oga we've not lost any game under Eric Chelle with our main squad. At least give the benefit of doubt.

It's your kind of negative thinking that stagnates our football. Sacking coaches every 3 market days.

MetalJigsaw:
But he continued the bad spell correct? Was he not employed for the aim of turning the team around?
You do realize that Chelle has gotten more points for us than Finidi and Peseiro so far in these FIFA WC qualifiers, right? You do realize that so far we haven't lost a FIFA qualifying game under Chelle, right?

If we don't qualify, should Chelle take the blame? Of course. But I'll only blame him partly because 1) no be him go hold the players legs to play the ball and 2) the gospel truth is that it's Finidi and Peseiro that put him in the position he's in right now.

It's going to take something special to pull us out of the mess we're in now, and I'm not saying 100% that it will happen, but in the unlikely event that it does, I hope negative posters like you will be here to swallow your words and give him his accolades.

And even if he fails, then tough luck. But I will still insist that he stays to improve with the squad. Remember we still have the AFCON.

Christantus Uche to Crystal Palace 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Tolu Arokodare to Wolves 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Samuel Chukwueze to Fulham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Osimhen may not have gone to the EPL but he gets to play at a top side where he is fully appreciated and mega valued.

Uche's move is the one that actually makes me go gaga. What a move!!! Under Glasner, I expect more improvement tactically. He is EPL-suited and will hopefully be a fine and physically stronger replacement for Eze at Palace.

Welcome to the EPL, Uche. Yaya-regen.
Bassey, Iwobi and now Chukwueze.

Fulham is gradually becoming the real Super Eagles B. 😃
