lbrichman2: You guys should learn to calm down.. Una just dey cry about this move since.. You can't know what's best for him more than the one wearing the shoes himself..
You're looking from the outside.. I'm sure the whole details of why he ended up on Galatasaray have not been released..
Give the guy a break Osimhen has done no wrong.. When ADL wanted to frustrate him last season, Gala gave him a way out.. See the lengths they have gone to sign him up now.. see the sacrifice! It's difficult to turn away from that kind of love and desire..
They are even buying players and strengthening their squad to make them more competitive ..
Na so una talk about PSG being in a farmers league until they flog everybody last season..
Again I say, you guys should learn to calm down Make season start, I trust Victor to shut everybody up.. Hausa league or not
To start with, my position is not about judging Osimhen's choice. Whatever Osimhen chooses to do with his career is none of my business. I am just making my own personal observations on what I believe is the optimal environment for a player of his stature, and no disrespect to Galatasaray - I know they're a very solid team and will be playing in the UCL, and may likely go very far - but respectfully, and in light of the current state of affairs, I simply don't see the Turkish League as one for someone of Osimhen's caliber. And frankly I don't think there's anything he'll do in that league that would impress me that much. Simple. We all don't have to agree with each other. Would I rather he be in the Top 5 leagues in Europe? Absolutely yes, because right now, they're more competitive and will boost his global brand even further to match or even exceed that of Kanu and Okocha. Is there anything I can do about it? NO. And I've made my peace with it.
If Osimhen thinks the Turkish league best suits him, then good for him. Like I said, the only thing wey concern me be say make the bobo turn up for our international games and perform well. That's why I'm satisfied with the fact that he'll still be active. That's what matters more to me. Afterall nobody gives a hoot about Vincent Aboubakar until he's playing games for Cameroon. And he performs well there.
charlesemeka85: u have said it all. If dem like mk the president of Turkey come airport receive Osimhen and em entourage/family the move na one of the worst made by any Nigerian player in recent times
Imagine how hurtful it is scoring tons of goals in a league where your effort and talent won’t be applauded and acknowledged just because you do it in lowly rated league.
Competing for the the league golden boot with the likes of El Neysri, Tammy Abraham , Nwakaeme and co when you are as a good as Halaand, Mbappe and other world class rated players of this generation 😪😪😪😭😭😭
I just pray Mola’s move to Inter materializes mk em put smile for my face jaree 🤦♀️🥱
I wonder how long it will take before we get another top player like Osimhen. I could be wrong, but the last Super Eagles player(s) I remember that had this much cred were Kanu and Okocha, both of whom hit their prime in the late 90s/early 2000s. That's a mighty long time ago haha.
charlesemeka85: my brother no matter how we take sugar coat am Hausa league na Hausa league 🤦♀️🥱
Exactly. It is what it is.
As for me, I just want him to be fit and prepared for Super Eagles games, that's all. At least, he'll be getting some action in Gala instead of just staying idle. Although some people might argue over the level of skill or competition in Turkey.
Goke7: We are celebrating the girls here, all the grouse against our leaders can be discussed in the politics section of nairaland
I think the discussion is actually relevant here insofar as it concerns the attitude of the political elite towards sports in Nigeria, specifically. I don't see how it's out of place or off-topic.
GeneralDae: QueenJazz, to your earlier point, this was when Esther and Alozie trained with comedian Shanks and musician Blaqbonez earlier this year in Lagos.

They're just going through the five stages of grief. Right now, they're likely in the anger or bargaining stage, trying to discredit our success by any means. I pray they won't stay long in that stage and find closure eventually.
I wonder if Morocco will eventually join the ranks of Ghana and South Africa to become another one of our sworn enemies when it comes to continental football.
daveP: Chebbak wey never win anything dey look down on Agba baller wey don carry 6 APOTY for match?? Spoon you no see. Podium you no see. Audacity. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ohale for beat am but she don too do.
North Africans generally just have very poor sportsmanship, and they don't really try to hide it. It's why I never root for them in any major tournament.
Sometimes, they remind me of South American teams like Uruguay and Argentina with the way they rely on antics and generally display superiority complex over African sides.
bentenny: For those worried about HMs using pity strategy or just chilling throughout the entire show only to get the reward,Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of Big Brother Naija Season 10, announced a significant twist regarding how the winner will emerge this season. Unlike previous seasons where the winner was primarily determined by viewer votes at the finale, Ebuka revealed that the ₦150 million grand prize must be earned by the housemates through weekly tasks and challenges set by Big Brother. This "work and reward" system means that housemates will accumulate earnings based on their performance in these tasks throughout the season, making the outcome less dependent on external voting and more on their strategic efforts and consistency inside the house. This twist is designed to intensify competition and reward hard work, separating serious players from those relying solely on popularity.
What will the tasks be like? This twist has the potential to be very boring. I hope they handle it well.
Sour grapes, hypocrisy and entitlement from an European reject who enjoyed the immense support of the home crowd, as well as lasers blinding his opponents. I don't blame him. I blame the Moroccans that gave this joker a platform.
semid4lyfe: If I wasn't Nigerian I wouldn't support Nigerian teams because tell me why Nigeria defeated Morocco, and Ghana and South Africa are being trolled?
Sometimes, Nigerians do too much.
I can't speak on Ghana but I know many South African pages and comments mocking Nigeria and posting memes after we went two goals down. So yes, they absolutely deserve the trolling.
