I have no words. |
Abi na my eye? ![]() |
To be fair we overrated Damugu or whatever his name is. We were very silly to think that he would be able to beat Jorge Vidal tactically. ![]() |
I always had that nagging feeling that this squad would get exposed eventually. Omo good night y'all. We look forward to the next WAFCON. This one is gone. |
Why are these girls playing like they've been sorted behind the scenes? That first goal was pure sabotage. This night go long die haha. |
dodobytes:Injured. |
Well, it's going to be a long night if that's how we're getting started. |
Any word on who the referee is yet? |
Giel:Season never start una don carry sauce come again. ![]() |
I'm guessing we're getting the girls today and the guys tomorrow? Cos so far... |
I'm getting serious delawood energy from the second girl. |
Can't wait for Tiribear to start his/her shenanigans. ![]() |
Old man mind your business abeg. No chook mouth for Super Falcons matter ![]() |
lordofstrings:9pm |
Asabe4:People don see the show finish na. The organizers have shown consistently that creativity and innovation is not their strongest suit. I'm expecting more of the same as the previous seasons. This might be worse than last year's own. |
Truidstarr:Exactly. If they want war, we don't have to sit back and keep whinging. We can deliver the same energy back at them. At least we're all wise to their antics now. I seriously hope the Nigerian fans at the stadium will have this mentality. Secondly, lasers didn't stop South Africa from whooping their asses in the last tourney. So let's not make mountains out of a molehill. |
Samueltemi337:I was speaking for myself, but thanks for asking. |
Lol. I just dey laugh. Tonight wey Super Falcons go play Morocco in the WAFCON final. |
Ghana wins on penalties. |
dankorode:Presently 1-1. Ghana equalized via Dlamini own goal. |
Kai! This Ghana keeper na proper suegbe. ![]() |
Mujtahida:I personally think before the 2010s, the Nigeria-Cameroon rivalry was more evenly balanced. Cameroon did beat us in three finals where it mattered most (AFCON 1984, 1988, 2000), but we still had many matches in those periods where we beat Cameroon handily. And in the past decade, Nigeria seems to have completely dominated Cameroon... at least for now. Contrast this with South Africa. Until very recently I can't think of any period in time where they really gave us issues. We've always had games with them in the bag for the most part. At least when it comes to the men. It's a bit tighter with the women I'll admit. South Africa are gradually becoming the powerhouse they used to be in the late 90s, so we'll have to wait and see how long it will take before they break the Nigeria curse, but for now, they remain our children in football. ![]() Speaking of which, I wonder when we'll break the Argentina curse too. I'm tired of them seeing us as a 3-point guarantee in international competitions. ![]() |
WarHammer2000:Then you didn't get the point of the question. It wasn't about who would win. The answer to that is obvious. It's about how well the falcons would adapt and if it could translate to their performance in their usual games. |
Truidstarr:Obviously they would lose. I was looking at it more from a technical standpoint. The health concerns are valid though, I'll give you that. |
I had an interesting thought this morning. What if our Super Falcons trained occasionally with the men (Super Eagles) so that they can push their physicality, stamina, mental resilience and endurance even further than it is now? How feasible is this approach? I want to hear the pundits' thoughts on this? p.s the people who have answered so far are only focusing on what the outcome of the matches would be. That's not what I'm talking about. Men's football is definitely on another level. No one with a functional brain can argue with that. The question is for the sake of Super Falcons' development. Obviously they'll lose, but with continuous matchups, how well will they adapt to the men's performance and style? And could it, in any way, prepare them adequately for their games against their fellow women? That was the point of the question. |

Mujtahida:I still think Ghana remains our number one rival. So much history there. I know for sure this final would have been more highly anticipated if Ghana had scaled through. South Africa has possibly surpassed Cameroon in my eyes sha. At least within the last couple of years. But then again, you could argue it's still a one-sided rivalry because we almost always end up winning somehow. It's just like our beef with Argentina. Our games with them are mostly tight but they end up squeezing a victory over us somehow. I feel like Nigeria is to South Africa now what Argentina has been to us. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsKXvXwiMoI I just returned from the comments section of this video and I get it now. I get why other African countries hate us. Because we too dey bully them. ![]() |
mekabuachi:So after two whole days, you just came back to repeat the same dry joke and lack of understanding. ![]() My friend will you "love and light" yourself out of my mentions. ![]() |
Firebox123:I swear. Make the guy calm down |
Just in case Ghana by some miracle brings down Morocco, I hope they wear yellow in the finals. I'm starting to see a pattern where any team that wears yellow against us dey collect well well from us most of the time. ![]() |
