as Abeokuta son residing in Lagos I did my best

I campaigned tireless, engaged in so many heated argument

A vote against APC is a vote against the Son of the region (PYO)

Besides a vote against APC has an effect that goes beyond this election TAKE IT OR NOT!

I've PLAYED MY PART

You've played your part bro. I pray Buhari wins this election, if not you guys will forever live with regret the day you handed over your region's destiny to those who never cared about you. I used to think the West is politically savvy but the buildup to this election changed my mind, especially seeing what happened in Ogun. You guys should have seen learnt a lesson from the way you were relegated to the backseat during the PDP chairmanship election where the SE,SS and North ganged up against u at the last minute, but I was surprised some of you were still rooting for PDP. Too much book dey worry most of you

Bro, abeg na wetin we gain if after all our 'sophistication', the same beneficiaries of the sophistication will insult you to your face; they will tell you they 'dominate' you in your land, that they developed your land and are taking it over, that it is a no-man's land, they even call you a 'sophisticated m.o.r.o.n' to your face. Abeg na wetin we gain??
As in ehn, you guys don't know how the mind of an average SE'ner works, you can't just satisfy them. If Atiku lose the SW the way GEJ did, they will abuse the hell out of you guys that you sold out the rest of the South as if you had an MOU with them. If it turns the other way and Atiku wins the SW, they will still mock you and say you sabotaged Buhari's re-election because you are 'traitors' or tell you how the Igbos dominate every state in the West and their votes made Atiku win in the SW

Our liberalism has started working against us and will continue to do so until we begin to put our regional interests first before petty politics. Imagine, even after GEJ marginalized us he still got almost half of the votes from our region in 2015. That's bullshyt and unacceptable. That tells you that we have a serious problem on our hands.
I'm happy to see reasonable Yorubas like you. Even though I'm not from the SW, I grew up there and have a lot of admiration for them. There's a dangerous trend emerging from SW that calls for concern, I don't know when you guys will wake up and realise that Nigeria as it is has gone beyond being too nationalistic, regional interest should be paramount above all, It's everyone for himself, God for us all.
I see the way people from SE abuse you guys online, even those of them who earn a living staying in your region, and it drives me nuts.
An OPC member was alledgedly killed by Igbos today and I haven't heard of reprisals, this can only happen in the SW. Can anyone try that in the north, SE or SS? These guys are the boss in their respective regions, they don't take shit. The SW really needs to wake up from their slumber, else these same Igbos u see abusing u guys will go behind you to form alliance with the north and they won't do it half-heartedly the way u guys do it by splitting votes. I have said my own

See Ohaneze telling Igbo youths to vote Igbo interest(not national interest grin), that's cool. My grouse is with some misguided Yorubas who don't know politics is about personal interest, APC is the party that protects Yoruba's interest. Don't let anyone deceive you to vote Atiku!

You just need the support of SE to lose any election in this country. Consciously or subconsciously, they have hijacked the candidacy of Atiku(like they did to GEJ) and in their usual manner have started throwing tantrums and abusing everyone with dissenting opinions. Being the religious bigots that they are, they have made Alh Atiku a Christian candidate vs Buhari, a Muslim candidate, you wonder why you hardly see many Muslims on the side of Atiku, it's because these people have hijacked the candidacy of Atiku to the extent that Atiku now looks like a Christian candidate.
They have also given it a regional/tribal dimension as though Atiku is a candidate from the South vs a Buhari of the North.
It will take a massive rigging and compromisation of INEC security system for Atiku to win this election

Who else noticed PDP didn't react to the President's speech today (they're too busy perfecting their rigging plans for tomorrow since they are sure elections are holding) unlike last Friday's speech which they swiftly responded to, which is a confirmation they were aware elections wouldn't hold last Saturday. That party must die for the any meaningful development in this country

Only those of you who haven't stayed in the northern part of the country or those who are just mischief makers won't appreciate the progress this government have made in the fight against insurgency. Those of us here before 2015 know how difficult life was at that time, you can't go to places of worship in peace, you get screened at motor parks, you can't hangout in peace with friends without apprehension, we were practically living in fear. All these are things of the past now, but trust Nigerians with their propensity to forget the pains of the past, they've forgotten the Nyanya bombing, the Banex plaza bombing, the bombings in Kano, the bombings in Jos, even a military barrack in the FCT was bombed, and so on.
Posterity will judge everyone of you who wants to take us back the pains of the past

Politics / Re: Buhari Presidency Releases Looted Funds To APC Candidates – PDP by Queseda: 10:43pm On Feb 19, 2019
The level of irrationality in this god-forsaken party called PDP is unprecedented. Churning out all kinds of propaganda and unsubstantiated news per second, they errorneously believe 'fake news' brought APC to power, hence they're adopting same strategy, but they forgot that every issue APC complained about in 2015 were very much verifiable facts that everyone knew were genuine and not mere propaganda.
Just look at the rank and file of the people who claim to want to 'save Nigeria'....lol, people like Dino, Saraki, Atiku, Reno, GEJ, OBJ and the likes, not a single credible individual. You PDP attack dogs on nairaland can rant about Tinubu all you want, but he made the blueprint that reversed the fortunes of Lagos for the better from the rot that was gradually coming after it ceased being Federal capital.
I rather find it amusing that any sane individual will even think of voting PDP, I see a lot of never-do-wells shout about how life was much better under PDP, even those who didn't have 10kobo in their accounts and never benefitted from the proceeds of corruption coming here to defend the same people who made their lives miserable.
I as a tax payer can see what my tax is being spent on in this government, those of us who traveling a lot can see the kind of work this government is doing on our infrastructure.
Nigeria has a lot of grounds to cover owing to several decades of neglect in every facet of our national life and you don't expect everything to be done in 4years. Buhari has set the country on the right path and the best we can do is to support him to end the reign of brazen corruption that has held the country hostage for decades.

Politics / Re: Postponed Polls: Here Are The Three Conspiracy Theories by Queseda: 9:06pm On Feb 17, 2019
Prior to 2015, it looked impossible to unseat an incubent President, reason PDP boasted to rule Nigeria for 40years, they believed so much in their rigging strategies. 2015 was an eye-opener in Nigerian politics that a sitting President can be defeated. The level of desperation exhibited by PDP and enemies of Nigeria is unprecedented, from wave after waves of fake news, to intimidation of dissenting opinions across all social media, intimidation and harrassment of INEC, blackmail of politicians in rival parties, nobody is spared in this show of shame by PDP attack dogs. Personally, I think the INEC chairman is trying too much to look unbiased and as a result compromising in favour of PDP as we can see so far in the reassignment of Amina, their refusal to obey court orders for inclusion of APC in Zamfara, and so on. Mahmood Yukubu should man-up and not allow himself to be cowed by these agents of darkness parrading themselves as lovers of democracy. APC should be ready for the battle of their lives on Feb 23 because PDP will not spare anything in their quest to have unhindered access to our treasury once again. I find it amusing the same people who saw nothing wrong in the 16years of poverty, abandoned projects, looting and desecration of our institutions by the PDP are the ones shouting after just 4years of APC that is showing so much promise of a better Nigeria.
Finally, I want to implore every well-meaning Nigerian who have seen remarkable progress being made in the midst of limited resources, to remain resolute and not give in to blackmail and intimidation which is the obvious tactics being deployed by these unscrupulous PDP apologists, we see a lot of them on front page of every thread on nairaland, they're on Twitter, Facebook, inside buses, anywhere you can think of. But one thing remains sure, as long as God liveth, these people who have held this country hostage for years will be put to eternal shame, to the glory of God
Shalom!
