CelebritiesRe: Fela Kuti's 81st Posthumous Birthday Is Today by Queseda: 10:22am On Oct 15, 2019
Fela is an enigma, he's a movement, he transcends music. Fela during his days, was the wealthiest musician in the whole of Africa. He formed his own political party - MOP(Movement of the People) to challenge the ruling class. He was one of the first African musicians to have his works on Compact Disc. He was far ahead of his generation....his style of music is so unique, the beats gives me goose pimples.
He's the greatest African musician of all times
EducationRe: University Of Ibadan Commissioned By Lord Teddar [video] by Queseda: 11:15am On Oct 07, 2019
Ibadan holds a very important place in the history of Nigeria, Ibadan is truly the cradle of civilization of not just Nigeria but the entire West-African sub-region and the African continent at large.
1st University in Nigeria
1st Scycraper in Nigeria
1st 5-star hotel in Nigeria
1st TV station in Africa
1st Radio station in Nigeria
1st asphalt road in Nigeria
1st housing estate in Nigeria
Others I can't remember now....
Awolowo really made the Western region the envy of all, and it's still the case today, may God bless his soul
PoliticsRe: Edwin Clark Warns Yoruba, North: Steer Clear Of 2023 Presidency For Igbo by Queseda: 12:50pm On Oct 06, 2019
Let me chip in this for those who have ears to listen:
Any SE presidential candidate besides Rochas Okorocha is bad market for any political party. Listen and listen good, Rochas is the only Igbo politician with widespread acceptability outside of SE coz he has shown he's detribalised, and a bridge-builder, hence the reason he's more like an outcast in his region because he 'hobnobs' with the so-called 'enemies'....lol
Based on this premise, the two leading parties will want to win at all cost in 2023 and any party fielding any candidate from SE(apart from Rochas) is at a big disadvantage because of the kind of politics they've played over time, that's the reason why PDP already zoned the party's ticket to the North.
APC meanwhile, would find it necessary to reward the SW for being the only region from the South where it has a good standing, with the party's ticket rather than giving it to any other region in the South. As a matter of fact, APC would rather give its ticket to a candidate from the North than either the SE or SS in the event that the ticket doesn't go to the SW
The only way to have an Igbo presidency as it stands is for both leading parties to present an Igbo candidate which will not happen because:
I) PDP is desperate to get back to power, any attempt by APC to give the ticket to SE (never gonna happen) will give PDP a huge advantage if their own candidate is from the North
II) APC wants to retain power by any means, any attempt by PDP to present a candidate from SE (1 in a million chance) will be countered with a Northern or SW candidate because giving APC ticket to a zone where PDP has a record of sweeping votes by almost 90% is insane and wouldn't give APC any advantage
This is the undiluted truth, emotions won't change anything
PoliticsRe: Why Sowore Deserves To Be Forgiven By Goodluck Jonathan Supporters – FFK by Queseda: 5:41pm On Sep 24, 2019
Forgiven for calling for his removal or what exactly? Is the position of the President Jonathan's birthright?
When will Jonathan ask for forgiveness for plundering our commonwealth, no tangible achievement despite overseeing the richest period in our history in recent times. FFK and all Jonathanians should be ashamed of identifying with such a failure, but they know Nigerians are gullible and have short memories, they make them believe it was a mistake to have voted out Jonathan...lol
Buhari has not lived up to his election promises but his failures doesn't in any way justify keeping Jonathan in power, it would have been worse than this, or how do you justify FG borrowing to pay salaries at the twilight of his administration despite the huge earnings. If you can't effectively utilize huge resources, how would you fare managing fewer resources? FFK, Rino and all PDP apologists deserve a special place in hell
SportsRe: Piers Morgan: Ronaldo Is Better Until Messi Wins Something Outside Barcelona by Queseda: 12:14pm On Sep 24, 2019
Players don't just leave a club for the fun of it. Ronaldo left ManU for Real because that's the biggest club in the world, nobody turns down Real. He left Madrid for Juve because he's not happy with Real, why should Messi leave Barca, and to which club?...the only bigger club than Barca is the same Real and u know the implication of such moves. To satisfy the yearnings of his critics?
This is just bitterness, even Ronaldo knows Messi is better than him

In as much as Sowore helped in bringing this government to power doesn't mean he should be abandoned by Nigerians. Nigerians pls forgive Sowore and let's support him in this trying times. #FreeSowore
Of what exact offense should Nigerians forgive Sowore? Except you're telling me Sowore's demand for good governance, occasioned by Jonathan's failure is an offense. It isn't Sowore's fault that Buhari failed and hasn't delivered on his promises, so I don't get when you people fault Sowore for going against Jonathan, it's petty and childish

Queseda:
In all honesty I think the SW really shot themselves in the foot with their performance in this election. For me, the battle for 2023 should be between the SS(they really turned up) and SW.
You Yorubas are still yet to understand that Nigerian politics is all about personal interest because it's a winner-takes-all. Your brothers across the Niger understand this very well and you can see that in the way they gave block votes to GEJ in 2015 despite his poor performance in office, I have said it many times, you guys run the risk of taking the backseat as far as politics is concerned if you don't learn to put your money where your mouth is. The same okoros who call you all sorts of names for your alliance with the north are secretly negotiating behind you but will come here to gloat and grunt about not giving a Bleep about political positions, the recently concluded elections have shown that but the entire SW just dodged a bullet, thanks to the huge votes from the North.
The problem with SW in my opinion is that you people take too much significance into what others think about you, because I really can't explain why PDP got such huge numbers despite their very poor records in the region. Make I no talk much as una be my inlaws grin
Reference my post many months ago. The SW does not deserve the APC ticket! Next time, they will learn to put their money where their mouth is

PoliticsRe: Reno Omokri: Jonathan’s Reaction To Sowore’s Detention By Buhari Government by Queseda: 9:52am On Sep 23, 2019
All these futile attempts to launder GEJ's image at every given opportunity, speaks volume about how insecure Jonathanians feel. No matter what Reno and his gullible swines feel, those of us who don't suffer selective amnesia knows the truth.
GEJ is democratic but sent soldiers to seize newspapers because of unfavorable headlines, used soldiers to attack protesters during the 'occupy Nigeria' protests, his wife molested a seating governor(Amaechi), used soldiers to rig elections in Ekiti.....and so on grin
No amount of image laundering can remove all these atrocities, as a matter of fact, there's nothing Buhari has done that GEJ didn't do(if not worse)
Power intoxicates, and I'm yet to see any President who didn't misuse power since 1999, the only exception being the late Yaradua
Reno should stop insulting our intelligence with his unending attempts at rewriting history, GEJ was a failure!
PoliticsRe: “Sowore’s Travails Are Self Inflicted. He Created The Tragic Villain” - Reno by Queseda: 12:45pm On Sep 21, 2019
And when has demanding a change for better leadership become a crime, this Reno is just one bitter soul who will never recover from the loss of GEJ. Anyone who felt Jonathan should have been left to continue despite his woeful performance is either a tribalist or one political jobber like Reno. Sowore demanded for better leadership than Jonathan has to offer by supporting Buhari, and it's the same better leadership he's demanding by organizing a protest against the same Buhari he supported in 2015. Is there a law that forbids anyone from protesting against someone you once supported if you feel the person isn't living to your expectations? Reno will die a bitter man

State001:
A former Minister of Aviation, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, has alleged that Fulanis pose a danger to Nigeria's stability, peace and unity, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Fani-Kayode made the claims on his verified Twitter handle, @realFFK, on Saturday (yesterday).

He accused the group of having insatiable lust for power, alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari has Islamisation agenda for the country.

“The greatest danger to Nigeria's stability, peace and unity is the insolent and rappacious disposition and insatiable lust for power of the Fulani hegemonists coupled with the Fulanisation and Islamisation agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari”, he said.

For the last 59 years as a nation we have been swimming in one big massive soakaway and the stench is unbearable”, Fani-Kayode added.

After going through most comments above, one really begins to wonder how a country has such a huge number of ignorant folks and unemployable graduates. For heaven's sake, should INEC bend the law because PDP candidates are leading in a neck-to-neck contest where the number of cancelled votes is greater than the margin of lead? I've not seen any of you attack INEC for declaring the elections in which an APC candidate is leading as inconclusive, as in the case of Plateau. Funny how these same set of ignorant folks will be shouting rule of law when it suits them but would want INEC to go against the law when it doesn't favour them. You're all victims of the damage PDP did to this country by looting the money for your proper education and enlightenment, I'm sorry for you all grin

sarrki:
I recall Tinubu as governor. He appointed Igbos to his cabinet. Ben Akabueze who does national planing for Buhari, once did same for Lagos.

Tinubu had a spelling competition for young lads. Whoever won, was made governor for Lagos for a day. As in Tinubu literally vacated Alausa for the champ. He or she would travel with DSS escorts in Tinubus armoured jeep and wear his trademark cap, and seat on his seat. I recall, a certain Ebuka was the first beneficiary of this gesture. You need to see how Tinubu and his wife feted that boy. I was jealous.

Say what you like about Tinubu and Lagos, I've never witnessed large scale discrimination against Igbos.

Go to Lagos inland revenue service, you'd see Igbos working there. Are there no better educated Yorubas? Yet, Igbos are given some consideration.

I witnessed same in Ogun state.

Maybe, it's all these things that will make someone begin to imagine that Lagos is no man's land.

Lagos must Be protected
Yorubas are the architects of whatever rubbish the Igbos in Lagos say about them. Imagine, how can you employ foreigners to work in your civil service when you have thousands of unemployed SWners? How many non-Igbos will u find in SE state civil service? Zero! You keep playing the big brother role to ingrates at the detriment of your own people. To the extent of even granting them representation in the House of Assembly. Una mumu never do! huh

Don't be surprised people, it's the usual suspects again, the agents of divisiveness and ethnic jingoists, they've been conjuring all sort of things to create rift between the SW and the North, if you check my previous posts I have been warning Yorubas to be weary of their neighbours from the SE. If you see a snake and an Igbo man, kindly allow the snake to go in peace because the snake poses less harm compared to the bile and deep-seated hatred in the heart of an average Igbo.

PoliticsRe: Call Tinubu To Order, Bode George Tells Buhari by Queseda: 11:14am On Feb 28, 2019
Most, if not all Yorubas in PDP are bastards. They are the ones selling out the region for their selfish gains. The Igbos deserve any sort of treatment meted out to them for poking their noses into what certainly isn't any of their business. Yorubas should be glad to have politicians in the mould of Tinubu who puts their interest first.

It's only the Liberal character of the Yorubas that is killing us. We don't have same agenda like other tribes, we are free minded. Just because you offend my brother doesn't automatically make you my enemy. There has never been bloc vote in the SW. Don't expect it anytime soon either.
While this is a good thing, you need to evolve politically and start putting your interests first before any other considerations or forever take the backseat as far as politics in Nigeria is concerned. Check the numbers across the country, it is only the SW and NC that gives almost 50:50 votes to the two parties, the NC can be excused for its diversity, same can't be said of Yorubas. The North will always be winners and will only look for a reliable partner (that can help further their cause with Bloc votes) downsouth which the SW has unfortunately failed to show they're capable of. The SW either evolves politically or take the backseat
