sprinkles14: As I write you this letter, I'm not happy and not fulfilled. I'm getting married in less than one month to my boyfriend of 4years, but I must confess that nothing and I mean absolutely nothing interest and excites me about this guy. I don't feel complete with this guy at all.. I've been turning deaf ears to this inner voice but I kept pretending and forcing it on myself hoping I will get along sooner or later. I must confess, this guy is a complete gentle man with a good paying job, full of ideas, loving and caring and everything about me is his priority. He's loved by all my family members and everybody around me. Calling of the wedding ceremony will be an outrageous thing to do because of the embarrassment to our families, friends and the guy in particular. Have made a conclusion within me...after getting married, I will convince my the guy to allow me travel out of the country, maybe if I'm away, I can start a new life out of Nigeria chore and if this doesn't work, I will either file for a divorce after one year or cheat on my husband to make me happy. Please a very constructive critics and advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

why do africans have a followers hip mentality ,

This stupid culture was the number 1 killer of nigerians last year and this year.

Vikkie14: Firstly, am compel to reply you seeing the way you table-down your comment. To set the record straight, Chad is not only competing with the Nigerian forces but also trying to play down on the successes of Nigeria and the MNJTF. It will suffice me to remind you that Chad president was quoted as saying that they spotted Shekau III in Dikwa but Nigeria Army were responsible for allowing him to escape, yet they still said that Nigerian Forces were 50km away from Dikwa when they liberated the place. So, who is glory hunting and engaging in competition?. 2.[\b]Nigerian Army did not in any way STALL, STOP or HALT their operations. They are working on a foreign soil, and so, they have to abide by the host MOU and 'engagement of war'. There's a LIMIT to where they can operate to in Nigeria. Going outside the boundary of approved engagement will bring out a diplomatic row or a blue on blue incident. Only if they are in hot pursuit of BH WITH APPROVAL FROM THE MILITARY can that be embarked on. [b]3. They are fighting a war not situating business in Nigerian. They were asked to move over to cameroun to forestall any "escape route" by BH during Nigerian Army "anvil and hammer" onslaught on BAMA. So, they were 'redeployed' to camereroun as rule of engagement demands. 4. I will say you are bereft of information on the ongoing COIN OPs in the NE theatre. When has Nigeria DENY the usefulness of MNJTF? It shows you are only feeding on misinformation dogmatically. Nigeria spearhead the creation of MNJTF and headquarters in BAGA. You are less armed with information. This is a military war, not a political war. What concern the President with the redeployment of Chad from Nigerian soil. Are you just so beclouded with hatred of the President that you are embittered with the Nigerian state? It's a shame that someone could politicize the Mission by MNJTF. Who is more clueless now? If u r chad wud u not do the same. Nigeria has itself to blame for lack of coordinatiom |

mavelo: ‘Boko Haram ‘slaughter wives’ to prevent them from marrying soldiers or non-believers’
Dozens of Nigerian women who were forced to marry Boko Haram fighters were reportedly slaughtered by their “husbands” before a battle with troops in the northeast town of Bama, multiple witnesses said Thursday.
Five witnesses who recounted the massacres to AFP said the Islamist militants feared they would be killed by advancing soldiers or separated from their wives when they fled the town.
They killed the women to prevent them from subsequently marrying soldiers or other so-called non-believers, they added.
“The terrorists said they will not allow their wives to be married to infidels,” said Sharifatu Bakura, 39, a mother of three.
Nigeria’s military along with forces from neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Niger have claimed huge victories over the insurgents in recent weeks but defenceless civilians still face serious threats.
– ‘Dozens’ of corpses –
According to Bakura’s account, which was supported by others, Boko Haram fighters received word of a military assault on Bama, formerly an Islamist stronghold in Borno state.
The insurgents had decided to flee to the nearby town of Gwoza before the troops’ arrival but first decided “to kill their wives so that nobody will remarry them”, she said.
Bukara’s husband was killed by the insurgents four months ago but she was spared from a forced marriage because she was visibly pregnant.
Boko Haram forcibly married scores of women in Bama after seizing it in September. Nigeria’s military announced the recapture of the town on Monday.
Witnesses who were taken under military protection this week to Borno’s capital Maiduguri, 73 kilometres (45 miles) away, said the killing of women began 10 days before Bama was liberated. The Islamists said “if they kill their wives, they would remain pious until both of them meet again in heaven, where they would re-unite”, said Salma Mahmud, another witness.
A vigilante who fought alongside the military in the battle to retake Bama, Abba Kassim, said he saw “dozens of women corpses” in the town.
– Commander’s instructions –
While other witnesses reportedly a similarly high casualty figure the numbers were impossible to verify.
Fanna Aisami, 52, also in Maiduguri after escaping Bama this week, said the executions followed a warning from Boko Haram’s top commander in the town.
“He informed them of the situation and the consequence of the takeover of the town by the advancing troops.
“He warned them that when soldiers killed them they would take their wives back to the society where they would be forced to marry and live with infidels,” the mother of seven said, speaking by phone to AFP in Kano.
The commander “said it would be better for them to kill their wives and send them to heaven,” Aisami added.
A number of women were shot dead in front of the commander’s house, she further said.
Yagana Mairambe, 58, reported similar details but told AFP that “some Boko Haram men refused” and fled with their wives towards neighbouring Yobe state.
Nigeria’s national security spokesman Mike Omeri told AFP he would try to verify the reports while the military could not immediately be reached for comment.
With Boko Haram gunmen facing heavy military pressure across northeast Nigeria, attacks, including suicide bombings, have persisted, even as the government in Abuja tries to assure voters that March 28 elections will be secure.
The Islamist uprising has claimed more than 13,000 lives since 2009 and President Goodluck Jonathan has faced fierce criticism over failure to contain the violence.
The latest reported atrocities in Bama recall similar massacres at high schools and colleges across northeast Nigeria, where Boko Haram has executed scores of students learning a so-called infidel curriculum.

I'm in no way saying that you shouldn't spend your money how you deem fit, but you have to look at this issue. The issue is that most of you flaunt their wealth all over the social media, especially that boy Wizkid. There are ways you spend your money and i wonder whether you guys are really sensible. Please Answer This Few Questions
How would you buy a watch of $20,000 when a watch of N250 would serve the same purpose?
You Recently Bought A Car Of N24.8m, When A Car Of N1.5m would still transport you to anywhere you want.
How Would A Sensible Person Buy A Suit Or Dress Of N300,000 when a N5000 Suit Made By A Tailor Would Serve The Same Purpose.
Tonto Dike or whatever ;You Bought An Iphone6, "You No Go Let Us Hear Word" Are you the first person to buy an Iphone6? And still spoilt two IPhones in two days. Showing Us How Confused you Are?
What Would It Have Cost You If You Gave That Money To The Less Privileged When You Die Who Would Wear That Suit, Who Would Wear That Watch, Who would ride those cars.. Who would use that expensive perfume and phone. Remember These Words, Vanity Upon Vanity, All Is Vanity.
Invest In the lives of people, that's the best you can do.. You never know, that Doctor that might save you might be someone you helped. Many People Are on the streets looking for help, Students Need Money To Go To school. Trust Me You Wouldn't Wanna End Up Like The Rich man And Lazarus In the Bible. Rich American Celebs Don't Even Flaunt Their wealth the way Nigerians Do..
As For Wizkid, I have one word for you, Even The Late Michael Jackson is still richer and better than you. The Only difference is that you're alive. M.J never flaunted His Wealth.. I once again thank you all for reading this.
Have A Pleasant Day

Islam › Re: Christians (evangelism) And Their Deceptions by quickly: 3:49pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
Empiree: 7) Accepting the principle of polygamy. A funny thing to mention, In England, there was a conference in 1409 AD for priests and a big discussion took place about polygamy, many of them totally rejected that issue and said that this is one thing they use against Islam, but they faced the problem that if they didn't allow polygamy they will lose their campaigns in Africa, after realizing that, they allowed it. There are catholic priest in Africa with 40 wives or more.
8 ) They say that many Muslims have changed to Christianity and they publish books and cassettes about that. For example the book "Why I become a Christian?" written by "Sultan Muhammad Paul", a weird mix of Christian and Muslim names, they claim in this book that this person was a Muslim from Afghanistan who was the son of a scholar and went to Mecca to do Hajj, asked Allah for one thing which was to give him the true guidance, then the book says they he accepted Christianity, the rest of the book is attacks on Islam that appear to be written by someone who has done a whole lot of research and is very deep into Islamic issues. It is very obvious that this book is false and forged, this is a way that is used quite a lot by Christian missionaries who claim that Muslims (go to Hajj and ask for true guidance and accept their sect .. ).
9) Taking the children from their parents and raising them according to their belief. For example in England they started special Hotels for children where they stay there with no connection with their parents, the workers there speak many languages, funny how most of them are Muslim spoken languages (eg Arabic and Urdu). Another example during the Bosnian war the children who were taken from Bosnia to Italy and France they were raised according to Christians believes, those children they know nothing about their original Islamic religion. Even if these children would discover what happened to them they would still have doubts from what was taught to them.
10) The use of Natural disasters : Such as wars, earthquakes floods, ...etc, The need for food, shelter, medicine, education and clothes are one of the reasons that Muslims may accept Christianity. Muslims had to choose either take "Food + Christianity", or stay a Muslim, but a "Hungry Muslim". It is also sad that the aids that Muslims send were distributed by Christians Agencies these aids were sent by Muslims to their brothers and sisters in Bosnia, Chechnya, Indonesia, Somalia, Sudan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Iraq. Muslims' funds and resources are used to spread the Christian religion and to spread hatred of one Muslim towards the other ("The Cross comes with food for you, your Muslim brothers forgot you" .
11) Making conditions easy for new converts from Islam to Christianity: These converts are treated by other Muslims as a traitor and something shameful, and that is the truth. They also saw that new converts feel left and abandoned, they also do not find full satisfaction with Christianity. A book called (The Christians missionary among Muslims). This book was printed in Lagos in Nigeria and was given to all the missionaries in that area, this book explains how the missionary can get the best results of his preaching. It says: "the Christian missionary must offer a great love for new converts, as well as regular Muslims, be nice to them. Learn about Islam not only to destroy Muslims belief, but also to understand the similarities between Islam and Christianity so that YOU START WITH THESE POINTS. Talk to them about Jesus, tell them that he loves them and that he is their Saviour. Do not argue the faith, give them a general idea, a fast answer, even try to make it as a joke especially the Trinity, or the idea that Jesus is the son of God
Many Muslims are effected by this missionary activity, and that many Muslims leave Islam and enter into Christianity! add to that the ones who are slightly affected by Christianity they for example leave Islam without entering into Christianity, or accept some of the Christian belief, or help Christians in their activities, or accept that their relatives become Christians then that is a huge number of people! So the missionary activity is doing what it is supposed to do.
It is wrong to think that every Muslim has an impunity against these missionaries, the missionary efforts are very huge, they are starting to give results even it is was a partial success.. Ignorance is also another reason, there are many Muslims who do not know much about Islam. The ignorant Muslim is called to Christianity in cunning ways and so he enters into it. The fact that there is no Islamic preaching to stand in the face of Christian missionary with similar preaching is also another factor, there is not such activity to teach those ignorant Muslims about their religion and warning them about the danger of the missionaries is a reason that made Christianity acceptable among Muslims. Continue to be a slave of Arab culture and religion. Your descendants will curse you. This arab way of life leads to destruction and death but Africans like yourself are too stupid, brainless to think about the effects of pushing another mans culture. The arabs dear not try it with Asians only stupid africans. Arabs don't respect africans even if you recite the tree Quran from page 1 to last page. The reason is u are following there culture because u have been enslaved. There is mental slavery and physical slavery. When u start to worship forefathers of arabs. R u not there ah lave? |

By Ed Cropley and David Lewis
JOHANNESBURG/DAKAR, March 12 (Reuters) - Nigeria has brought in hundreds of mercenaries from South Africa and the former Soviet Union to give its offensive against Boko Haram a shot in the arm before a March 28 election, according to regional security, defense and diplomatic sources.
Rumors about the use of foreign "soldiers of fortune" against the Islamist militant group gained substance this month when pictures surfaced on Twitter showing armored vehicles rumbling along a street in what was said to be Maiduguri, the regional capital of Nigeria's Boko Haram-hit northeast.
In one photo that appeared on Twitter on March 6, a white man in a khaki tee-shirt and body armor is shown beside a heavy-caliber machine gun on top of one of the sand-colored vehicles as the column drives through the streets at dusk.
A Reuters reporter with knowledge of Maiduguri was able to verify the location of the photo as the Bama road, leading southeast out of the city, near the University of Maiduguri.
Election campaign posters of Borno state governor Kashim Shettima hanging from street lights indicate it was taken recently. The lights, notable for their ornate ironwork, were only installed last year.
In confirming the presence of hundreds of foreign military contractors on the ground, including recently in the city of Maiduguri, security and diplomatic sources put the total much higher than the hundred or so previously reported.
Nigerian government spokesman Mike Omeri declined to comment, referring questions to military spokesman Chris Olukolade, who also declined to respond to multiple requests for comment.
In an interview with Voice of America late on Wednesday, President Goodluck Jonathan said two companies were providing "trainers and technicians" to help Nigerian forces. He did not name the firms, or the nationalities, or give numbers.
But a West African security source and a South African defense source said the foreign troops were linked to the bosses of former South African private military firm Executive Outcomes.
Executive Outcomes was best-known for its involvement in Angola's 1975-2002 civil war and against Revolutionary United Front rebels in an internal conflict in Sierra Leone in 1995. It disbanded in 1998, under pressure from the post-apartheid government in Pretoria to curtail mercenary activities.
The West African security source said several hundred foreigners were involved in running major offensive operations against Boko Haram, and were being paid around $400 a day in cash.
Their impact on the fighting so far could not be quantified, but the general run of the campaign has seen the tide turn somewhat against Boko Haram in recent weeks.
Separately, a South African defense contractor confirmed to Reuters that ex-Executive Outcomes leaders were involved in the deployment, which comes after the six-week postponement of elections in mid-February due to the threat from Boko Haram.
One Abuja-based diplomat said the South Africans were backed by soldiers and hardware from the former Soviet Union in an alliance against Boko Haram, which has killed thousands of people in its six-year campaign to establish an Islamic caliphate in northern Nigeria.
"It's an incoherent mix of people, helicopters and random kit from all sorts of different sources, but there is an element of internal cohesion from the Nigerian army," the diplomat said.
"It appears to be a desperate ploy to get some sort of tactical success up there in six weeks for the electoral boost," the diplomat added. The numbers of soldiers involved were in the "low hundreds," the diplomat added.
"NO BUSINESS TO BE THERE"
John Stupart, editor of African Defense Review, identified the troop carriers as Reva III, manufactured by a Pretoria-based company called Integrated Convoy Protection.
After reports of South African military trainers first surfaced in the Afrikaans-language Beeld newspaper in January, Defense Minister Nosiviwe Mapise-Nqakula made clear her displeasure, saying any deployment would be illegal under 1998 anti-mercenary laws.
"They are mercenaries, whether they are training, skilling the Nigerian defense force, or scouting for them. The point is they have no business to be there," she was quoted as saying in domestic media this month.
South Africa bans its nationals from participating directly in hostilities for private gain. Georgia, seen as a major source of mercenaries, has laws before parliament criminalizing participation in a broad range of foreign military activities.
Reuters was unable to reach the former bosses of Executive Outcomes through military contacts in South Africa.
The appearance of foreign private soldiers comes four months after Nigeria's ambassador to the United States said Washington was not helping the struggle against Boko Haram, and had failed to share intelligence and sell Nigeria the weapons it needed.
The presence of mercenaries from South Africa and the former Soviet Union adds to the broad array of forces lining up against Boko Haram, which has emerged in the last few years as sub-Saharan Africa's biggest security threat.
Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Benin have committed troops to an 8,700-strong regional force. This week, Chad and Niger launched a joint military offensive deep into Nigerian territory.
U.S. and European special forces have just completed three weeks of war games with regional counterparts near Lake Chad, one of boundaries of a Boko Haram sphere of influence thought at one time to be the size of Belgium.
